Rogue
Rogue's thick Southern accent reveals much about her beginnings. Born in a small
town along the banks of the Mississippi River, her life took a turn to the strange
when her emergent mutant powers nearly killed her boyfriend Cody Robbins. She
ran away from her home in confusion.
Rogue was found by Mystique and brought into the Brotherhood of Mutants. After rejecting their message of hatred and violence, even her love for Magneto couldn't keep her with the Brotherhood. It was shortly after leaving the Brotherhood that Rogue found a team whose views and ideals ran parallel to her own. In the X-Men, Rogue has found both a cause and a family.
