Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler's devilish appearance leads many people to have assumptions about him that are entirely untrue. His appearance and agility kept him fed while he hid within a traveling circus. Circusgoers assumes that he was wearing a costuae, which allowed him to avoid anti-mutant sentiment. When a small village found out that his blue skin, pointed ears, and tail were real, they assumed he was evil. The mob would have made life very difficult for Kurt Wagner if it had not been for the intervention of Professor Xavier.

Nightcrawler is soft-spoken and devoutly religious. Even other mutants are surprised by this. While he has an amazing agility that's been honed over his years with the traveling circus, his most potent power is his ability to teleport. He can vanish and reappear in an entirely different place, as long as he can see where he's going.
