He's a close friend of Kazuki. Like with Kazuki, Ryogo works as a test pilot for Hirishima Industries. Ryogo is very much different from Kazuki in terms of personalities. While Kazuki is a hot temper person who's quick to blow a fuse, Ryogo is an easy person who treats woman as sex objects.
