Doing so will net you | Nano Sphere............_____ | the swimsuits for Ziggy and KOS-MOS, but | Nano Repair A.........._____ | they are certainly not a requirement for the | Nano Repair A.........._____ | game, just a nice bonus. After the opening | Revive S..............._____ | you take control of an A.M.W.S. Directly | Skill Upgrade D........_____ | down you'll reach a save point, access it | Bio Sphere............._____ | and save your game. Further down you'll | | come to a truck blocking your path, this o------------------------------o truck can be destroyed using the square button to attack. Continue along past the two side by side objects and you'll pass a large armoured tank. Destroy this tank and it will open up a path to two cylinders, the second of which contains a 'Power Shield.' Proceed Southwest to trigger a scene. In front of you is an enemy, approach the enemy to begin combat. The combat system is explained here, there are three types of enemies, Mechanical, Biological and Gnosis. Square and triangle are your basic attacks, to defeat these enemies. Start by attacking the first two and you'll be interrupted by a little tutorial on how to boost. Boost is performed by holding the R1 button and press the corresponding button, either square, triangle or circle depending on which party member is going to boost. You can open the A.M.W.S. menu and charge your energy with stock, then you can execute special attacks depending on how much energy you have stored. There are also different types of event slots that change every turn, you'll be familiar with this if you played the first game. The CTC slot increases critical hits by 50%, the BST slot increases the rate at which boost increases, and the SKL increases the number of skill points you get from enemies. Three more types of slots exist which can come up randomly, ETR which increases Ether damage and healing by 50%. T-C where any damaged target loses their turn and RV where a target's boost gauge increases when attacked. Fight the rest of the battle using the square and triangle buttons to come out with an easy victory. Down the path you'll find a couple of traps, shoot these traps as if they were destroyable objects and any enemies within the blast radius will be affected by some special negative effects. Just above the yellow trap is a barrier you can shoot which opens a ramp leading up to a number of cars, the last of which hides a 'Nano Sphere.' Back down the ramp, but not quite as far as the main road is a short path leading to a 'Nano Repair A.' Before going up the curved road defeat the enemy on the corner and break all the objects behind it to reveal a capsule containing 'Nano Repair A.' Now follow the road North. After the scene you are no longer in control of your A.M.W.S but instead are not limited to moving around on foot. Save your game and then head up to find a soldier, which will be your first battle as characters. There are two types of attacks, basic ones with square and triangle, then a single one with circle. There are different attack zones based on height. Many enemies have weaknesses to specific types of these attacks and you can break the defenses and allow yourself to attack their weak points. For the rest of the battle use double square attacks and circle to exploit the weaknesses of these enemies. Just below where you fought the soldier, on the right is a pile of junk that you can destroy to reveal a chest containing 'Revive S.' Now head North. Destroy the white car, as well as the door frame just above it. Examine this red door to discover Segment Address No.14. Later you'll be able to return and open up this door, they work similar to the way they did in Episode 1. Continue up to trigger your second battle. Here you will learn about using the stock option with characters as well which allows you to add extra attacks on to your normal ones. Team up attacks are also possible with specific characters as well, you need to boost the character you want to perform the attack with. The other condition is that you have a certain amount of stock with both characters. In this case you are given full stock so use the double attack on the mechanical enemy, then finish off the soldier with a square -> square. Just a little bit further is a ladder which leads up to an object you can blow up containing three 'Skill Upgrade D.' Climb back down the ladder to the main road and head East to the next area. On your way down you'll notice a number of pillars with moving green rings, you can target and destory these rings. Doing so will make a capsule appear at the bottom of the slanted road with a 'Bio Sphere' inside. A bit below that the camera angle will change, at this point you can cross over a broken pillar to a place called "Toys Universe" but you can't get in at the moment. Return to the main road and keep going East for another scene. Save your game then make your way North and blast the enormous objects in your way. Continue North until you reach a tunnel, get ready for your first boss fight. Leave the agency and follow the path North and a girl will begin talking to you. She just happens to be the younger sister of the man who introduced you to Segment Addresses in Episode 1. She'll give you the 'Segment File' and 'Decoder 06.' Examine the door behind her which is Segment Address No. 6. You can use that decoder she just gave you to open the door and get the 'Secret Key 3' inside. Continue up the nearby ramp and enter "Moby Dick's Cafe" for a number of scenes. There are a number of mini-quests now available, if you don't wish to partake in them now scroll down to the first paragraph without "===" in front, there's seven in a row below here. === The first GS quest is now available. Leave Moby Dick's Cafe and return to the first area of the city section in Second MIltia (the first section of the place you're currently in) and go to the fork just before the path that led to the Bunnie that gave you the GS Path. Instead of going right, go laft and talk to the girl beside the door there. If she doesn't say anything special it's because you're using a male as your avatar character, choose your party leader to be Shion and talk to the girl. Select "Leave it to me!" to begin the quest. You'll receive the 'Love Letter.' Leave the city section and head to the spaceport to the Southwest. Head through the gate to the left of the desk and fly up to the Durandal. When you get off the elevator ascend the ramp on your right and tell the person you want to go to the Kukai Foundation. Leave the docking port and head to the Urban Area. Smash the nearby cars to get 'Bio Sphere' and five 'Skill Upgrade A.' Also blast the truck on the left for a 'Med Kit S.' Speak to the man beside the counter and he'll give you 'Sydney's Letter.' Examine the gate on the upper left side of the bar. Ignore the red button, just smash all the large crates until a 'Boost Max' pops out. Now leave the Foundation entirely and return to the city section of Second Miltia. Speak to Jacqueline. This completes the quest successfully. Your reward is the 'Secret Key 1' which makes the "Psycho Pocket" skill avaiable (that's what secret keys to, they unlock skills) and Psycho Pocket is one of the best, many bosses carry ultra rare items and Psycho Pocket allows you to steal them, doing this quest early in the game is recommended. === The second GS quest is now available once you've completed the first one. Enter the hospital beside Jacqueline from the first quest and run all the way to the East end. Speak to the man named Sikes laying down on the bed. Agree to deliver his letters for him. You'll receive 'Spade Letter,' 'Heart Letter,' 'Club Letter,' and 'Diamond Letter.' The first person you need to give one of these letters to is in the Publishing Agency in the second sector of the city. Speak to the man wandering around at the top, Enrico, and give him the give him the Spade Letter. Unfortunately this isn't exactly the nicest quest in the world, you can't just use trial and error to eventually complete it, just as it is possible to succeed it is equally possible to fail and this becomes evident in just a moment. Leave the city section and go Southwest to the spaceport. Here's where it becomes possible to fail, there is a young child who asks if the Club Letter is from her auntie, this is NOT the person you want to give it to. The person you want to give the Club Letter to is named Ulrica, who asks is it's from her niece. Now go through the terminal and up onto the Durandal. Get on the train car to your left and ride it to the park. Speak to the blue haired person beside the fountain and respond "Do such things really exist?" followed by "Okay, we'll take it." This nets you the 'Decoder 11.' Speak to the man at the Northwest corner doing the crazy hand gestures named Eugene and give him a card as well. Finally you need to return to where you boarded the Durandal (Dock Area) and ride the shuttle down to the Kukai Foundation. Head to the Urban Area and make your way West to the next section. Climb the stairs to the North when you enter and speak to the person at the lower left hand corner of the fountain named Patricia, give her the final letter. Head all the way back to the hospital in the sector one of the Second Miltian City section and speak with Sikes in the hospital. Now you've completed the second quest. Assuming you did it correctly you'll get the 'Secret Key 2' for your efforts. === The third GS quest is now available. Return back to the Kukai Foundation and head to the Urban Area. In the West section up the stairs on the West side there is a place called Lavare Dry Cleaning. Go inside and speak to the woman beside the dryers named Sheila. Once you've learned of your task head to the upper part of this area and climb the ladder into the attic. Speak to the old woman to begin the minigame. You need to eliminate ten mice within one minute and thirty seconds. To do so you just have to run up to them and press the square button as if they were destroyable objects. Don't waste time with the actual crates, just go for the mice. For the last couple of mice at the lower left side climb up the stairs and shoot down those paintings to block off those little holes they keep escaping through. This should make your job fairly easy. The old lady gives you the 'Secret Box' once you complete your job. Back downstairs, speak to Sheila for the 'Secret Key 6.' === The seventh GS quest is now available. Return to the Publishing Agency in the second sector of the Second Miltia City. Speak to Miguel in the storage room and he'll give you a quest to go around the city putting up posters. Leave the Publishing Agency and go down a few steps, then East down the ramps. Below you is a steeper ramp leading down to a man beside and electricity sign. Examine the wall to the right of him and put up a poster. Head back up to where Angelina is standing, the Segment Door tutorial girl and examine the wall on her left to put up the second poster. Put one on the right side of the door itself too. Head up to Moby Dick's Cafe and put a poster under the words "Second Miltia" on the lower side of the cafe (outside, not inside.) Go down below this walkway and along the wall that runs East/West below Moby Dick's Cafe you can put up a total of four posters. This should be eight put up so far. Head to the first sector of the city. Start at the save point and U.M.N. terminal, you can put one poster above them. Climb the nearby stairs and put the 10th poster between the two doors and then enter the Ballet Academy (the first door.) Put up a poster on the East wall at the base of the stairs. Ascend the stairs and put up a poster on the North wall. Leave the Ballet Academy and go next door. Place the first poster on the wall behind the floating yellow object and the second one down the stairs on the East wall. You should be up to 14 now. Go outside again and place a poster on the wall between the left-most table and the large blue screen. Enter the hospital and put one up on the far East wall, and another to the left of the main desk. Now only three remain. All three of them can be placed in the area that connects city sectors one and two, near the Bunnie. Return to the Publishing Agency in sector two and speak to Miguel. For doing this little task you get three 'Skill Upgrade D' as well as MOMO and Jr's Swimsuits, two special skills that make this menial task well worth doing. === The eighth GS quest is now available. Go to the South end of the second city sector and head down the ramp to find a man named Lizzy. Speak to him and agree to his proposal. He'll give you the 'Facility Key.' Enter through the door on the left and climb down the ladder. Go through the gate and head West along the conveyer belt, climb the ladder at the end. At the top there's some current flowing between the two sides of the path, wait for it to disappear before running North. Watch out for the large bursts of electricity when running across the conveyer belt. When you find yourself moving East, you have to be especially careful of these bursts because they will knock you onto a moving belt. Follow the path around, down along the moving belt and down the ladder. At the bottom are a large number of crates that you can destroy, destroy all the crates in a striaght line to the North to find two 'Class Upgrade C.' Destroy a couple of crates on your left then run North and press the button to return power back to acceptable levels. Now backtrack a bit and destroy every single crate now that the time limit is gone. You'll find a 'Bio Sphere' and five 'Skill Upgrade A.' Down the West path there's a chest containing 'Rejuvenator M.' Make your way back to the entrance and leave this area. Speak to Lizzie again to end this quest. Finishing it allows you to use the "Burst Veil" Double Attack for Shion and MOMO. === The ninth GS quest is now available. Return to the path that connects city sector one and two and you'll find a little kid standing there named Maple. Speak to the child and agree to help. Return to sector two and go up the ramp and turn right. A quick scene occurs. Keep running East, and then down the ramp to the East. At the bottom after the thief speaks examine the gold sparkle on your left to receive 'Teddy Bear.' Head back and speak to the child to end the quest. This unlocks the Double Attack "Elemental Nocturne." === The eleventh GS quest is now available. In the second city sector go all the way East and down the ramp (where you got the Teddy Bear in the other quest.) Speak to the man in orange named Ciaran. Agree to help him to begin the quest. Descend into the hole on the left. Speak to the man at the bottom to start it off. Now make a right at the fork and examine the terminal, select "Area D." You must destroy only the red objects. Return to the beginning and make a left. Examine the terminal and select "Area F." This will show you the red objects on your left and the ones above you. Head West then North and use that terminal to check out "Area H." Destroy the objects above you and memorize the red ones from the four on your right. Head North then make a right and go down the stairs. Head South and destroy the red objects that you memorized. Return North and go up the stairs again. At the very top examine the terminal and select "Area A." Descend the stairs again and make a right, there's a terminal on the East wall, check out "Area C." Run South from this terminal and check out "Area G." Go around the right side but not up the ladder, and check out "Area E." Now take the ladder on the left and follow the linear path all the way around, down into the water and back up again. Examine the terminal and look at "Area B." Also while you're at it check out "Area C" and you'll notice that the one single object along the way was indeed one you should destroy. That takes care of all of them. Climb back up the ladder and speak to Ciaran to end the quest. Your reward for completing it is the 'Secret Key 11.' That's finally it for now. Leave the city and make your way Northwest to the Uzuki Residence for a scene. Now that you have control of chaos, head North and go to the U.M.N. control Center. Save your game on the left and then run to the right. Enter the two large double doors and run to the North end of the room. There's three doors here, examine the door on the right and watch the scene. Return to the first area of the building and check the door on the right for another scene. Now you need to go to the analysis room, it is located through through the left door at the junction of three doors. Speak to the man standing at the door and tell him that you are ready. Leave Second Division and return to the world map. One new GS quest has now become avaialble. === The fifth GS quest is now available. Enter the Uzuki Residence and speak to Jun on the West side. All you have to do is complete a 3x3 sliding puzzle, not only do you need to match up the Japanese characters at the top of the shelf but you also need to match up the coloured patterns on the sides, so in short there's only one position that each piece can fit into. It's randomly generated every time so it's just a matter of you being a logical thinker here. For completing this quest you receive the 'Decoder 01' as well as the ability to use "Archangel's Requiem," a Double Attack for Jr. and Shion. Also note there are four levels of this game you can play, and beating the last one (while challenging) rewards you with ten 'Skill Upgrade D' and 10 'Class Upgrade C' which is a farily nice reward for all your hard work. Regardless of whether or not you did GS quest number five, you should still visit the Uzuki Residence again and go into the backyard. At the upper right corner are a number of plants you can destroy to uncover a 'Bio Sphere.' Also shoot the little area in between the pond and the side gate that you came through to reveal Segment Address No. 9. Also it might be a good idea to return to Moby Dick's Cafe and speak to the chef there, he'll unlock the back door to the kitchen for you, you never know when this may come in handy. Proceed to the main U.M.N. Center and watch the scene. Speak to Allen once, and then again. Tell him you are ready. | / |/ enosaga Episode 2 /-----------------------------------------------------o /| --------o----------\ Subconscious Domain | / | (00004) \----------------------------------------------------o o------- Item Checklist -------o The first thing you should do is create a | | party from all the people you have. Run all the way back to the South and then take the East path that leads into the forest. You'll pass by a number of rocks, the second has an enemy inside of it. You can blast the house on the upper left side, but there's nothing you can do with the device at the moment. Continue East to the next screen. Follow the path around to the West and take the lower branch to reach a rock concealing a chest containing four 'Skill Upgrade B.' Run to the East end and go down the broken log laying on its side. FOllow the Northwest path and knock over the tree at the end. Head East around the path and knock over the next tree you come to. From there take the North and and follow it until you reach the next screen. The little puzzle here is quite simple, basically there are a number of rocks in the stream you can destroy and a tree you can knock down. The tree will go downstream until it hits one of those rocks and stops it, so by detroying the rocks you can make the tree float further downstream. Go to the upper left corner beside the tree and destroy the rock, then the one on the right so that the tree floats down to the third rock when you knock it over. Cross the log and break the crate to get a 'Decoder 04.' Now to respawn the rocks you have to leave this section and then come back in again. Knock down the three without destroying any rocks and then cross it and save your game. Take a few steps up and head left to find a chest with two 'Antidote H.' Knock over the large tree on your right then exit this area North. In this area there are two tree trunks, cross the one on the right and if you stay on the right side you can shoot one of the trees. Run under the brush and jump down to find a 'Boost Max' in the chest. Jump down again and run South to the next screen. Here you will find another 'Boost Max' inside the rock. Go back and run up the hill on the left to reach the two logs again. Cross the one on the right and make your way North. There's a scene and then you'll have to fight a few normal enemies. Just use two triangle attacks to break them. Save your game at the save point and then keep running North until a scene occurs. O=========================o==================o===============o===============O | Boss: Level 4 | Type: Biological | HP: 5760 | EXP: 15,000 | O================o========o=======o==========o=o=============o===============O | S.Pts: 900 | C.Pts: 600 | Break:CCBB | Ether Pack DX, Skill Upgd E | O================o================o============o=============================O | | | This boss can be beaten extremely effectively as long as you time all your | | turns correctly. In one battle I frustratingly tried and failed to keep | | up with his powerful attacks along with those of the little enemies he | | summons, then in the next battle I ended up killing him in about three | | turns. What was the trick? First of all I used Jr., MOMO and KOS-MOS but | | the only person out of all of those who is really important is KOS-MOS. | | At the beginning of the battle have everyone stock up to full, and then | | accumulate as much boost as possible. Now get ready to time your attacks. | | I'll use my party for the sake of an example. Have Jr. get into a | | circumstance where his turn comes after that of KOS-MOS, or any way so | | that on Jr.'s turn it is possible to boost KOS-MOS. In this circumstance | | have KOS-MOS boost and then use Jr.'s triangle-triangle attack for C C. | | Now on KOS-MOS' turn, complete the break using square-square (B B) and | | then have her use three circle attacks as well, assuming it wasn't just a | | fluke in my case these three attacks will probably deal over 1500 damage. | | Boost MOMO while doing this and have her do four circle attacks, then | | boost Jr. and have him do four circle attacks. At this point you're | | pretty much looking at a corpse, and even if not, a big time offensive for | | the next couple of turns will absolutely wipe the boss up. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Leave the room and save your game. Make your way East and go outside. Follow the path around and watch the scene. Continue down and enter the area with the broken wall. Go West and follow the boys back into the facility. Save and enter the room just above the fork again. Watch the scene here. This is the same area you were at before, in a slightly more sub-zero environment. Break the crates and pick up the 'Med Kit S.' Run all the way North, you can't get onto the truck but you can destroy the crate on the right and get the two 'Antidote L.' Make your way South and enter the forest again. The first of the four rocks this time has an enemy in it, but the second has two 'Ether Pack S.' Leave this area via the East path. Follow the path and head down the log leaning against the hill. Take the Northwest branch at the bottom. Knock down the tree on the West side and go around the path. Break the rock and open the chest on the other side to receive two 'Bio Sphere.' Knock down the tree on the right and then exit this area to the North. Same idea applies here a last time. Destroy two of the rocks on the left side to make a bridge to reach the create containing 'Bio Sphere.' It is however different this time, leave the area and come back. Now destroy three of the rocks, so that the bridge hits the final one. Cross over and destroy the rock to reveal a chest containing four 'Skill Upgrade B.' Leave and come back once again. Just knock down the tree without destroying any rocks and save your game. Make a left down the path just above you and open the chest at the end to receive 'Rejuvenator M.' Exit to the North. Destroy the rock on the left side to reveal an 'Ether Pack M.' Cross the log on the right and destroy the tree like you did before. Drop down to find Segment Address No. 15. Head all the way South and break the rock on the next screen to get a 'Revive S.' Return to the previous screen and cross over the double log on the right and proceed North out of this area. Save your game on the left side. Take the centre path up and cross the bridge to the other side. Go around the top and cross another bridge leading Southwest. Go up to the fork and make a left, then head South. Open the chest to get two 'Ether Pack M.' Now run directly North of here to the top and go around to the right a little bit, inside the rock you will find ten 'Skill Upgrade A.' Now head around to the other equivalent side, the Northeast corner of this map. There you will find two 'Skill Upgrade C' in a treasure chest. Now it's probably a good idea to go back to the bottom of this map and save your game after picking all that up, a boss is coming very soon and you won't have another chance. Once your game is saved exit this area to the North and watch the scene. O=========================o==================o===============o===============O | Boss: Albedo | Type: Biological | HP: 7680 | EXP: 21,000 | O================o========o=======o==========o=o=============o===============O | S.Pts: 1200 | C.Pts: 750 | Break:BCCB | Skill Upgrde E, Awakening I | O================o================o============o=============================O | | | I imagine a number of people who haven't read a single other word in this | | guide have just tuned in now because they were so frustrated at this boss | | that they just had to turn to an FAQ. Well that's ok, that's what I'm | | here for. Suffice to say you should be able to beat this boss without any | | trouble at all, but that's only if you know what you're doing. Here's how | | it works, you cannot damage Albedo at all at the beginning of the fight, | | this is completely normal. Notice that every once in awhile it will say | | his arms have gone numb? Well keep attacking so that you get this message | | about three or four times and eventually his arms will literally be | | destroyed. Before this actually happens however there are a couple things | | you want to do. Lets start with the party, the only real important person | | is KOS-MOS. Use who you like. Now before his arms are destroyed you're | | going to want to stock up everyone to full. This means that you should | | only be damaging him with single attacks that don't drain your stock so | | that it's still full when his arms are destroyed. Secondly this is the | | first boss battle where stealing is important, you're going to want that | | Awakening I. To get it you should have done that GS quest earlier in the | | game and unlocked the Psycho Pocket skill, if not, your loss. Have two | | people with this skill and get one of them to boost while it's the other | | person's turn. Press triangle on the Psycho Pocket skill at this time to | | use a special steal spell that will specifically steal his rare item the | | Awakening I. Now back to the fight. Once his arms are destroyed you're | | going to do this. You need to break him. Make sure you have one person | | ready to do the B C part (square-triangle) and boost during his/her turn | | so that the next person can finish the break with C B (triangle-square.) | | Now start boosting like crazy and use all your circle attacks. Start | | with KOS-MOS so that she knocks him in the air and severly weakens his | | defenses. Doing this and using up all your stock should easily mean a | | combo of damage in the thousands. Repeat this one more time for a dead | | boss. His arms do regenerate however so you'll also have to destroy them | | again before you try. For some extra damage try casting a spell that | | adds the element of fire to your weapon, it'll make a big difference. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | / |/ enosaga Episode 2 /-----------------------------------------------------o /| --------o----------\ Dammerung | / | (00005) \----------------------------------------------------o o------- Item Checklist -------o Leave the room and use the save point on | | your left. Go o------------------------------o down the left branch and get the 'Med Kit M,' There's a large door on your left you can destroy and get a 'Decoder 18' from. Go back and blast the two crates on the right to reveal a ladder. Climb up the ladder and press the button on the left side, this will destroy an object and reveal a door. Now before going back down press the button on the right side and time it so that you press it when the box is just about in the middle of the conveyer belt. Keep doing this over and over until something pops out. Now climb back down the ladder. Destroy the crates below the ladder and get the 'Rejuvenator DX' then run East to find the object you knocked down on the floor beside the East wall, it's a 'Secret Key 7.' Blast the crates above this key and get the 'Med Kit L.' Save your game using the save point on the left. Now to the left of the save point there's two doors with the small red lights overhead. Enter the left- most one of those, the one you uncovered with the gun. Break all the boxes at the top of the room and get the 'Ether Pack M.' Destroy the support holding the walkway above you and run up the ramp. To the South you'll find two 'Bio Sphere.' Head North into the room to the North. There's quite a few crates in this room. Climb down the ladder and destroy enough boxes to reach the back wall and discover Segment Address No. 1. Go through the door and open the chest to receive 'Secret Key 8.' Go back out, blast your way to the ladder, climb up and leave the room. Now go back in to respawn all the boxes. _ _ _ _ _ _ |_|_|_| _|_|_|_| Descend the ladder and stand in front of all the boxes. |_| |_|_|_|_| |_| What you need to do is destroy the correct blocks in order |_| |_|_|_| |_| to make a path you can walk across from the right side of |_| |_| the room to the left side. It's virtually impossible to |_| |_| explain in words so I'll draw a diagram of the exact path |_| |_| you should be trying to create, and from there you will know which blocks to destroy and which ones not to. The diagram above, again like I said, shows the exact shape of the path you're going to take, it's a 1 - 1 model so each square represents a block. No matter what you do, as long as you don't destroy any blocks in those positions so that they drop lower that two blocks high, you'll be fine. For the upper right ones you actually have to climb the ladder and blast them from the top. Follow the makeshift walkway around to the left catwalk and exit the room to the South. Run over to the right side and watch the scene. Press the button on the terminal below you to activate the elevator and then open the door and you'll find yourself in a room with tons and tons of conveyer belts. What you want to do is get onto the main belt but immeidately turn around and run in the opposite direction so that you're moving either very slowly or not moving at all. You'll notice that there are a couple of crates moving along here as well. Slowly make your way down to the first one on the left and use the square button to knock it off into the room below. To get the other one you need to go down a little further and then turn right onto the final belt. While standing on this one knock the second box down. You'll end up falling on top of an enemy but no matter. Break the crates in this room uncluding the one you knocked down to get two 'Skill Upgrade E.' Leave this small room and go into the lower left one marked F.You'll find a 'Rejuvenator DX' inside. Also check the lower right room A to discover Segment Address No. 7. Return to the main large room and save your game, then ride the elevator up. In the conveyer belt room you need to ride the middle belt until you reach the final branch going left, thi branch has three possible drops, but you want the one that's just straight left, number 03. Descend the stairs and make your way along the linear path. Destroy the crate in your way at the top of the stairs to find two 'Skill Upgrade C,' you don't really have a choice anyway. Enter the room up the next set of stairs. Keep going until you come to a large open area. This is another puzzle. Here's what you need to do. There are four boxes you can destroy underneath this large glass panel. You want to destroy three of them, all but the one on the far right. Now step onto the large piece of glass. Stand at the Northwest corner of it where there is no longer any support and it will tilt under your weight. Now you can run to the Southeast corner, and while you have the ability to run up onto the platform, don't do it, instead run to the far Southeast corner and weight for the panel to go back down, when it does the weight will break the box on that corner and send a treasure box back over to the upper left side. Go and open it to receive 'Decoder 15.' Get back onto the glass panel and do the exact same thing, but this time step onto the catwalk at the Southeast side and go into the door. Save your game and get ready to take on the giant fan! What you need to do here is run up toward the fan in the exact centre of the path, the platform ahead of your will serve to block some of the wind. Once you get right up to it run quickly to the upper right and use that clear glass panel as cover to reach the terminal beside it and deactivate the fan. Climb the ladder at the upper left side and ride the elevator up for a scene. Defeat the two normal enemies and then exit North to trigger another scene. | / |/ enosaga Episode 2 /-----------------------------------------------------o /| --------o----------\ Elsa | / | (00006) \----------------------------------------------------o o------- Item Checklist -------o Around the right side of the area you start | | is a save point and a U.M.N. terminal. | Decoder 14............._____ | Using this terminal you can go back and open | Robot Part Right Arm..._____ | some of the Segment Addresses you now have | Decoder 07............._____ | keys for. Head two doors to the West to reach the Elsa Diner. Speak to the robot working the bar. Agree to help the droid with his problem. The robot wants to create a drink to cure the captain's hangover, and he needs three digits to do it. The three digits represent the portions of the three drinks to mix, orange juice, tomato juice and coffee. In order to find out what the mix is you need to collect clues from the other four droids in this room. You get a total of five tries before you fail. The clues given to you by the four robots are as follows: The captain likes fruity drinks like orange juice, he likes tomato juice and coffee about the same, he never drinks orange juice by itself and he's always saying how balance is important. These clues are make it nearly impossible to get wrong, but regardless the mix is indeed a balance with a preference toward orange juice. Speak to ADONIS and tell him you want to make a mix. You need to make it so it totals seven, select a ratio of 3-2-2. Give it to the Matthews robot on the left side of the room and then speak to ADONIS again. For completing this mission you get the 'Decoder 14.' Note: Your success in this determines what kind of Erde Kaiser robot you're going to get at the end of the game. Get it on the first or second try and you'll get a slash type robot. Get it one the third or fourth try for a pierce type robot. Get it on the final try for a Thunder type robot. Slash type should be the most useful, so don't bother failing on purpose. === The thirty-second GS quest is now available. I can tell you now that you won't be completing this anytime soon, possibly ever. You may have already been introduced to this quest unofficially but to begin it officially, ride the elevator down and speak to the robot in front of the weaponry sign. Tell him that you promise to help pay off Captain Matthews' debt. The debt is 10,000,000 and you pay it off by giving up items. You'll long since have the game beat before it's paid off, but at least you can initiate it now. Go to the U.M.N. terminal and head to Old Miltia from fourteen years ago. Using the Decoder 14 you just got from the hangover quest, open the Segment Address here and open both chests inside to find 'Robot Part Right Arm' and 'Decoder 07.' Leave Old Miltia and head to the Subconscious Domain Winter area. If you remember, you found a Segment Address near the North end of the forest, it's a bit of a walk but if you think that a 'Secret Key 5' is worth it. Leave the U.M.N. network. Finally you can head to the Dammerung and use your Decoder 07 on the Segment Address in the hall with all those small room going off it, room A had the door. Inside you'll find the 'Robot Part Left Arm.' Leave the U.M.N. network one final time. Back on the Elsa again ride the elevator down to the lower floor. Assuming you have the Robot Part Left Arm and Robot Part Right Arm you can put them to good use by going into the academt down the stairs to the West and meet up once again with the Professor. Just speaking to him nets you the Erde Storm spell. Now you're ready to proceed with the game once again, but perhaps you should save first. Quickly go into the room above and to the left of Ziggy and MOMO. At the upper left corner you can destroy a wall panel and discover Segment Address No. 2. Try switching around the pilots | | before battle to see which special stock attacks you like best. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o There's a button on the wall at the top of the room, press it to form a path. Now leave the room and save your game. Once again you have to do a bit of backtracking. Since you destroyed those nasty crates on your way up the elevator, you have to make your way back to that E.S. dock and disembark from your machines. As you cross that area that was previously blocked, open the chest to find 'Secret Key 14.' Exit through the West door. Climb the ladder and follow the path West. Head up the ramp and turn right, destroy the upper wall to find six 'Class Upgrade B.' Follow this revealed path to the end to find a chest with 'Decoder 02' inside. Continue to follow the main path East and then climb up the ladder and save your game. Head through the door. Run across the long bridge out into another area with a single path going down. Follow it all the way down to the bottom and go through the door. This is another relatively simple puzzle. Basically when you stand on the right side of those blocks and shoot them, they fall on the elevator. When you stand below them and shoot, they are destroyed. To complete this puzzle all you have to do is knock all the green blocks over the edge, and destroy all the blue blocks. After doing that, climb down the ladder and get onto the elevator. Destroy one set of green blocks and it will take you up to the correct position. Go through the door on your left. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| What you have here in this room is an old fashioned |_|_|_|A|_|_|_|_|_|_| slide puzzle, then knocked the crates will slide until |_|B|_|_|_|_|E|_|F|_| they hit something. Now listen carefully and you won't |_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| have any problems. The blocks are set up on an 8x10 |_|_|_|C|_|_|_|_|_|_| grid at positions as shown on the diagram. Now since |_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| the diagram won't move with you, you're going to have |_|_|_|D|_|_|_|_|_|_| to partially keep track of each box, but I'll be sure |_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| to keep track of the coordinates so even if you forget which letter box is which, you'll still be fine. The first step is to push block A up. Second step is to push block E up, and then left. The third step is to push block F up and then left. Now push block C up. Now you should have kind of a sideways L shape going on at the top. What you want to do is use the block on the right side of this L as a makeshift wall so that you can get each block into position and make the bridge. Lets call the upper left floor panel position 1-1, which is row- column. With this in mind you now want to push the block at position 1-5, which is the one in the middle, up so that it drops down and makes the first section of the bridge. Now push the block at 1-4 to the right so that it's now in the same position the other one was, and push that one up to make the second part of the bridge. You're probably getting the idea by now. Push the block at position 2-4 up, then right, then up to make the third part. Now it doesn't even matter for the other two. Since the bridge only needs five blocks you won't have to worry about getting that last one out of there, so you see the two blocks that you haven't even touched yet? Blocks B and D on the diagram? Push both of them up, right, up and you'll have your bridge. Cross over to the other side and there's another optional puzzle here, it involves making a path to the segment door. These blocks however don't slide all the way to the wall, they only go one space at a time. As long as you're thinking logically it's pretty hard to screw this up, it's not make to trick you or anything, but here's how it works. Lets name the blocks from left to right A B C D E. Push D down twice and it will fall. Push E left once and then down three times to make it fall. Push C down once, right once, down twice and right once so that it lands one square to the right of the last one. Push block B down once, right twice, down twice and right twice. Only one more needed. Push block A right three times, down three times and right three times to connect the path to Segment Address No. 13 which even after all that work you still can't open. Exit through the East door and save your game. You'll come to a fork in the path and two coloured panels in the floor. There's two ways to go, one takes you to a segment door and the other takes you to the end. To get to the segment door you need to take the yellow one, then the blue one, then the second yellow one at the end. Head East and discover Segment Address No. 4. Decode it and go inside to find 'Secret Key 9.' That key allows you to learn a skill that increases your maximum skill equip by one, very helpful, don't miss it. In fact after that since there's a boss coming up, you'll want to go back and save your game. To do so take the blue one in the middle going up, then the only choice you have, then the yellow one on the far left side, then the blue one going up. Head back to the West and save your game, make sure you're fully prepared before you continue. To get to the end to the end from the top, take the bottom yellow one, then the far right blue one down, then the middle yellow one down, then the only choice you have, then then furthest left yellow one down, then the furthest right yellow one down, then the furthest left blue one up and finally the middle yellow one down. Make your way to the centre of this area and step onto the large green transporter. Save your game and you're faced with a fork in the path. Take the right branch and ride up to the top, head down the path and enter the little opening at the base of the structure for a scene. Your most important | | party member here is going to be Ziggy, he is capable of dishing out some | | pretty serious damage. The boss' attacks are powerful, much more powerful | | than anything you've faced so far, this means that characters with low | | HP totals are going to have to be watch very carefully. She has two forms | | but we'll get to that in a second. Her break point is BCBB so start | | stocking and getting your boost meter up right at the beginning of battle. | | Another thing to do at the start of the fight is have two people boost | | together and use the rare item stealing Ether to get the Awakening II, | | you won't get another chance at this. Once you've fully stocked and | | boosted start your break attack and do it so that you do a ground attack | | rather than an air attack. She takes more damage on the ground than in | | air. Ziggy can do such an attack with circle when she is broken. Now her | | defense is quite good, and with 18,000 HP it seems like it will take | | nearly forever to kill her, and in fact this is partially true. Do | | whatever it takes to find better ways of damaging her. One easy way I | | find is the Attacker spell which sacrifices defense to raise your attack. | | After you've put a severe dent in her, she'll start to change into her | | other form which most notably has a blue sword instead of a green one. | | This form of course is much more powerful, and also you can't steal the | | rare item from it. Use the same strategy here as you did for the first | | form. She'll raise her attack power to the point where normal attacks | | from her are dealing upwards of 900 damage, fortunately this wears off | | after awhile. Play it defensively and stay in control, always heal to max | | HP and cast supportive magic like Quick if you have it. Defeating her in | | her alternate form nets you double the Class Points, not too shabby. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o Destroy any one of the four electro-pillars to set off a chain reaction. Now exit this area to the South and save your game. Save it. Run North of the save point and go into the pyramid thing. Another puzzle. There are six red objects that you can shoot to change their direction here. Only three of them actually matter though, those are the three middle ones in a straight line from left to right. Go to the furthest left one and shoot it once so that it changes direction. The one to the right, and a couple steps down should be shot once in the downward direction so that it points Southeast. The one directly to the right of this one should be shot once so that it moves right and faces Northeast. Press the button at the bottom and suddenly you're faced with a 30 minute timer. Now if I can write this guide while racing the timer, I'm sure you can beat it just playing the game, so be a man (or woman) and get your ass moving. Exit this place through the South door. The save point is gone of course, to prevent you from completely screwing up your game and saving when you don't have enough time left. Start running like crazy, the transporter puzzle is a breeze going the other way, just take blue ones whenever you see them, although you need to take one yellow one near the top. Run West and backtrack as fast as you possibly can. Fights are bad, remember you can run away using either Shion or MOMO. On the thin path leading up all the winding stairs it's virtually impossible to squeeze past the enemies so just fight as fast as you possibly can. Finally when you reach your E.S. machines and leave, there's another scene that occurs. O=========================o==================o===============o===============O | Boss: E.S. Issachar | Type: Mechanical | HP: 30,400 | EXP: 10,000 | O================o========o=======o==========o=o=============o===============O | S.Pts: N/A | C.Pts: N/A | Break: N/A | EMAX300 | O================o================o============o=============================O | | | At first I thought this fight was easy, then before I knew it I got a game | | over, then I thought this fight was really hard, by the time I got back | | I realized how painfully easy it is. All you have to do is put Jin in the | | E.S. Asher machine, this will allow it to do a special attack when stocked | | called "Wings of Light" that deals nearly 5000 damage. This will be your | | main offensive for the battle. Have your other machine be Zebulun and use | | it for nothing but healing, casting Quick on Asher, and casting defensive | | magic on itself. Use Wings of Light each time you have stocked up and | | heal with the other. The boss has a super powerfu attack called Genesis | | that deals 6000 damage to your party, this is where your healer comes into | | play of course. A simple strategy like this will almost guarantee you a | | win, slamming the triangle button seems like it works great, right until | | the boss gets below 10,000 HP and suddenly kicks your ass... okay my ass. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | / |/ enosaga Episode 2 /-----------------------------------------------------o /| --------o----------\ Durandal | / | (00008) \----------------------------------------------------o o------- Item Checklist -------o I'll admit now that this whole Durandal | | section is indeed just a cover up for all | ZAZA's Clue 1.........._____ | the GS quests that are now available, so | ZAZA's Clue 2.........._____ | that people who are trying to get everything | ZAZA's Clue 3.........._____ | just by following the walkthrough won't be | ZAZA's Clue 4.........._____ | let down. Continuing the streak of mind-numbing, crippling, repetition and monotony let's return to the Kukai Foundation. Select the Urban Area and run to the West section. Climb the stairs and speak to the person at the lower right hand side of the fountain area to get 'ZAZA's Clue 6.' Fortunately there's only one more clue, but it's back on Second Miltia again. Enter the U.M.N. Control Center and go into the room where Ziggy was being maintained. There is a girl named Sylvia here, she has 'ZAZA's Clue 7.' Now this quest wouldn't be complete without another trip to the Kukai Foundation. Head to the area where the shuttle lands, right when you go down there. You'll see a broken robot laying near the building. You'll have the chance to input the password, one digit is written on each of your clues, for the reference the password is: 2 5 8 7 6 4 3. Take the transport ship back and return to the Elsa. Speak to SPUMONI once again to finally end the quest. You get twenty 'Skill Upgrade D' and 'Rejuvenator E.' === The sixth GS quest is now available. Have Captain Matthews take you to Second Miltia. Enter the Moby Dick's Cafe and speak to the cook in the kitchen. Your main avatar character must be a female for this mission. This is one of the easier quests. All you need to do is push the button he calls out, whether or not you have trouble with this really isn't going to be affected by the guide, practice makes perfect and you can try as many times as you like. All I can say is don't rush, you're given adequate time. For completing this you get the 'Decoder 17' and 'Curry Recipe' which you can bring to Punch who is in the Kukai Foundation's Ironman bar. === The tenth GS quest is now available. Head to the hospital in the first section of the Second Miltia City. Speak to Luty, the little girl near the entrance who you just might recognize. After agreeing to help her return to the Elsa. Go to the crew qurters area and speak to the robot named KINGSTON in the room on the right four times to get four 'Hyper Fertilizer.' Now go into the crew quarters on the left and talk to DUBONNET to get the 'Spring Seed.' Return to the hospital in the city and examine the little area above Luty. Plant the Spring Seed. Use the Hyper Fertilizer on the seed a total of four times and then talk to Luty. For doing this you get 'Secret Key 15.' === The twelth GS quest is now available. Head to the second sector of the Second Miltia City. You've talked to this guy before but he's got another quest for you, go down the Southeast ramp and speak to the man named Ray to the left of the open hole. He'll give you the 'Water Tank A Key.' Climb down into the sewer and run to the North end, use the Water Tank A Key on the elevator and ride it down. Now what you need to do here is open six valves in a specific order. The order is as follows. Run West to find the first one. To open it just start turning the right analog stick in a clockwise direction until you hear fifteen squeaks. Proceed all the way to the East and and then go down the stairs. Take a few steps down and head left underneath the odd looking overpass. Walk down under another one and then left and up the stairs. Head left at the top then North at the fork, then West at the next fork to find the second valve. Turn it the same way. Now at the fork right beside you go South and turn water valve number three. Run back up and go right at the fork, then keep heading South at the next one. You'll eventually come to a red button on your left, press the button and ride the platform until it stops moving. Press the button on the other terminal when you get off and then go East past the stairs and then down to find valve number four. Run back up and go down the nearest stairs just a couple steps to the left. Make your way South and up another set of stairs. Take the West branch at the fork and it will eventually lead you to valve number five. Head down then East, when you come to a fork go South and turn the sixth and final valve. Return back up to the top once again, talk to Ray when you get there. === The twenty-fifth GS quest is now available. Head to Second Miltia City's sector one and go into the ballet academy to find a woman laying on a bed. All you have to do is find three special items. There's a guy walking around outside the Publishing Agency is sector two named Anila who will give you 'Stells'a Hairpin.' Speak to the old lady beside the red bench at the Southeast section to get 'Stella's Shoes.' Now go up near the kitchen entrance to Moby Dick's Cafe and talk to the kid to get 'Stella's Corset.' Now go back and talk to Stella. You'll get two 'Class Upgrade C,' as well as the swimsuits for both Shion and chaos. === The fourteenth GS quest is now available. Head upstairs from your previous client in the Second Miltia City ballet academy and talk to Kate this time. Leave the academy and use the U.M.N. terminal to access Miltia from fourteen years ago. Choose the character as opposed to E.S. option. If you know where the segment door is in this place, then you know your destination. Just to the South is a monster that won't even run toward you, you have to approach it yourself. Part of this quest entails fighting a boss. O=========================o==================o===============o===============O | Boss: Rod Blondel | Type: Gnosis | HP: 17,600 | EXP: 24,000 | O================o========o=======o==========o=o=============o===============O | S.Pts: 1200 | C.Pts: 1200 | Break: BBC | Skill Upgrade D, Skill Up E | O================o================o============o=============================O | | | Don't overestimate this enemy, especially near the end of the battle. His | | attacks are predictable but powerful. He starts off by usually using a | | 400 damage attack that hits a single character, eventually moving into | | a 200-400 damage party attack and finally to an 800 damage single attack. | | Near the end of the fight he also boosts like made so once he gets near | | or below 5000 HP get ready to try and eliminate him in a single combo | | string otherwise you risk serious injury if he gets controls again. Also | | you may as well try to steal the Skill Upgrade E while you're at it. | | Update: Here's a tip. I'm told you can constantly steal Skill Upgrade E | | and just run away, again and again. Good trick to max out your skills. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o === (GS No. 14 continued) For defeating the boss you get the 'Memory Locket.' Leave the Encephalon and return to the ballet academy where Kate awaits. Your reward for completing this task is the 'Secret Key 21.' === The fifteenth GS quest is now available. Have Captain Matthews fly you to the Durandal, and take the transport ship down to the Kukai Foundation. Enter the Urban Area and go to the "Our Treasure" Inn. On the second floor you will find a woman named Mallory. The ring she lost has a specific vibration pattern which you can test by asking her to demonstrate, now you can go all around the city trying to match different patterns. For a quick and easy answer, just run to the dry cleaners and check the ground on the right side in front of the cabinet, this is the ring you want. Pick up up to obtain 'Wedding Ring.' Now return and hand it over to Mallory. For doing this little task Mallory rewards you with the 'Secret Key 17.' === The twenty-third GS quest is now available. This one takes place on the Elsa so board it and go down to B1. Talk to PANACHE, the robot standing beside the coloured screen. Now head down to Second Miltia's Vector Industries. Speak to the blond haired guy in the first room named Narcissus and have him give you the 'Power Battery.' Now return to the Elsa and use it on the terminal below the coloured screen. Now this becomes a very monotonous task as well. It will go along and pick a random colour from the side, this colour that it lands on will make all blocks in the middle of the same colour disappear, but you must uncover the whole image, and you'll need more than five tries to do it so each time you need to run all the way back to Vector to do it. Oh well. Deal with it. Once the image is uncovered the quest is automatically over. You reward is the "Fiery Ritornelle" Double Attack. === The seventeenth GS quest is now available. You need to return to the Kukai Foundation and go to the Urban Area. In the West section beside the fountain there is a person named Bonny, it's the thief that stole the Captain's Log. For the actual quest itself the first thing to need to do is go to the dry cleaners. Speak to the person beside the clothes rack and she'll ask what kind of uniform you want, select the 'Pink Maid Uniform.' Now head to the East section and go into the Ironman Bar. Ride the elevator to the second floor and talk to the little girl nearby to get the 'Rules of High Society.' Ride back down and then talk to the bartender to end the quest. Your reward is the Dual Spell Ray Double Attack for Shion and chaos. === The eighteenth GS quest is now available. Head to Second Miltia's City sector one, and go into the lab beside the ballet academy. Speak to the woman in the middle named Janet. Now it's back to the Kukai Foundation. Enter the Urban Area and go to the West section. Below the dry cleaners is a garage with "Parking Area" written on it and a car inside. Destroy the car and run to the back then speak to the man there to get the 'Statue Blueprint.' Leave and go all the way back to Second Miltia. Give them to the girl in the lab to end the quest. You'll get an 'Unlock Code' as a reward. In order to actually make this unlock code useful you need to return once again to the Kukai Foundation and go up to the statue in the West section of the Urban Area. Approach the statue and enter 3 8 5 9 to reveal Segment Adress No. 11. Decode it and go inside to get 'Secret Key 23' from the chest. === The twentieth GS quest is now available. Make your way to the East section of the Kukai Foundation Urban Area and go to the second floor of the "Our Treasure" Inn. Speak to the man to the lower left of the stairs named Kramer. Talk to him again to begin the little game. All your have to do is examine the window and then slowly rotate the right analog stick clockwise four times, similar to what you did with the valves. You are given lots of time to do it, and all you have to do is just run right to find the windows, the only possible way to fail is that if you're in too much of a hurry and spin it too fast or awkwardly to actually have it register. You'll automatically end the quest when your finish. Your reward for doing this is the 'King's Key.' Now head to the West section and go up the stairs toward the fountain but stop mid way and enter the door marked "East 6." Smash all the crates to find 'Ether Pack M' and 'Med Kit M' then climb the stairs and examine the red button. Use the password found on the King's Key which is 1 8 5 7. Have the man tell you about a secret passage and then run down to the West end to get five 'Skill Upgrade D,' your real reward. === The twenty-second GS quest is now available. Head down in front of the bakery in the West section of the Kukai Foundation Urban Area, and talk to the man named Johnny. You need to find twelve people and play rock-paper-scissors with them, so lets get started. The first person is on your right, named Lee. The second is Shawna, below that person. The third is Jaime, on your right, a little kid skipping. Climb the stairs up tot he fountain and speak to Ed, the fourth person, and then the fifth person Jessica right beside him. Further left still is the sixth person, Patricia. Above her is the seventh person, Harold. Left fo him is the eighth person, Roy. Go down ths stairs and talk to the little girl Claudia, the ninth person. Run down the next stairs and talk to the man somewhat near the bakery named Buzz, the tenth. Then to Reina, on the left. That's eleven. The twelth and final person is Chris, up the stairs near the fountain, in front of the "East 6" door. Return to the bakery and speak to the man out front, I won two out of twelve games but he still seemed happy, I don't think it really matters. Just play normally and you'll be perfectly fine. "Cross Fist" Double Attack is your reward. === The twenty-ninth GS quest is now available. Head to the Kukai Foundation's Fishing Lab for this one. Set your avatar character to a male and then speak with Butch. This is a very simple game, all you have to do is run between different sections of the dock and pressing circle to cast your line. Once it's cast slowly turn the right analog stick clockwise and you'll reel something (or nothing) in. Keep doing this and playing over and over until that "something" is the Red Eye, there's no indication whether it is or not until you catch it. Your reward for this little game is the 'Decoder 16' and the 'Red Eye Fish Print.' === The nineteenth GS quest is now available. Enter the door in the Kukai Foundation Urban Area West section marked "East 6." Speak to the man on the left just as you enter named King. Now you have to go find a doctor, the hospital in the Second Miltian City would be a good place to get one. Talk to the doctor sitting in the chair named Hirad, Force him to go and then return to see King. He'll give you two 'Revive DX.' === The thirtieth GS quest is now available. In the Kukai Foundation's Urban Area West section "East 6" again, upstairs from King is a man named Clive. If he won't give you the quest it's because you haven't left the room and come back in since completing GS quest 19. Examine the five cats in this room and choose to find an owner for all of them before leaving. First place to go is the dry cleaners. Speak to the man named Kagari on the right side to drop off the cat Rebour. Now it's off to the East section of the Urban area. On the left side of the Ironman Bar there's a person named Nastya who will take Walker in. That's two of five. The other prospective owners are all on Second Miltia, so head there now. Head to the Publishing Agency in the City and give Newt to Agnese, the kid near the desk. The next person is in Moby Dick's Cafe, speak to Valentino and give him Loop. Now head back to the Elsa, on the way there as you pass through the Space Port, talk to Marcela, a person wearing a purple-ish shirt on the mid-left side. Now that Ollie is unloaded you can return to the East 6 in the Urban Area and talk to Clive. He'll give you your reward, the "Cross Hilbert" Double Attack for KOS-MOS and MOMO. === The thirty-first GS quest is now available. Head to the Kukai Foundation Urban Area's East section. The person you need to speak to is in the "Our Treasure" Inn, behind the main desk, named Layla. Agree to help her and then head to Second Miltia. Go to the Publishing Agency in the City area and talk to the person near the entrance named Augusta. Now it's back to the Kukai Foundation to speak with Layla. Your reward is the 'Vault Key.' It has a code on it to open the vault on the other side of the inn, use the following password: 0 8 1 3 to open the door and get the four 'Med Kit DX.' === The thirty-third GS quest is now available. Speak to the man at the bottom of the stairs named Hugo on the Kukai Foundation Launch Area. If it wasn't obvious enough already, you need to dive into the Subconscious Domain Summer area. Check the bathroom on the left and break the door, then the poster to find a clue. You must read this clue. Now run to the North end of the road and examine the crate behind the billboard to unlock Protection 01. Now head East t o the first forest path. Along the way you'll pass a patch of red flowers above you, examine them to unlock Protection 02. Take the East exit, and then the East exit again. Go down the slanted log on the right side and examine the white flowers at the bottom to unlock Protection 03. Now head North to the next map. In this area knock over the tree without destroying any rocks. Run down the upper right path that leads near the cave that the stream is coming out of. Just examine the wall in this area to unlock Protection 04. Now exit this map to the North. Head down the East hill and examine the tree above you at the bottom to unlock Protection 05. Unfortunately the next one is right near the entrance to the forest. Head Northwest and exit to the West through the broken wall to arrive at the first fork. The Northwest path will either lead to a shed or a ground panel depending on whether you destroyed the shed earlier in the game, but regardless there's some red flowers on a rock to the upper right of that area. They unlock Protection 06. Now leave this area down the East path, and then exit the next area North. To unlock Protection 07 examine the odd looking hole in the bush as you run along the path. Now leave this map North as well. In this area with the two logs side by side, cross the one on the right and examine the mushrooms that are growing out of the log on the left to unlock Protection 08. Head South to the previous area of the forest you came from. Destroy the left most three rocks in the river and then knock the trunk into it. Cross over and examine the rock that can't be destroyed to unlock Protection 09. The final one is one the map South of here. Destroy the rock on the left blocking the path to the enormous tree and examine the tree itself to unlock the final protection. For doing this you get the 'Secret Key 18.' Don't forget to go and talk to the outer world Hugo to finish the quest. === The thirty-fourth GS quest is now available. Go to the Second Miltian City sector two and speak to the man below the Publishing Agency named Carlos. This is painfully simple. You can go around and speak to all the people if you want to, or you can just talk to him again immediately and tell him that Second Miltia is the best spot. Return to city sector one, and then back again to speak with Carlos. You get the "Lion Heart" Double Attack. Is it possible that could be all? Indeed it is. Head to the bridge of the Elsa (which you are probably REALLY familiar with after that) and speak to Captain Matthews, this time telling him to bring you to Old Miltia. | / |/ enosaga Episode 2 /-----------------------------------------------------o /| --------o----------\ Submerged City | / | (00009) \----------------------------------------------------o o------- Item Checklist -------o Leave the bridge and choose to launch your | | E.S. machines. When you shoot the truck on the lower path it will spit out all sorts of crates, smash all of them to get 'Nano Repair Z' and 'Nano Repair A.' Continue along the path, when you see a red looking enemy you haven't fought before don't underestimate him. Beam attacks and such will heal him, you need to be physical and he has one attack that can deal over 3000 to both your characters. I recommend putting Jin as the co- pilot for Asher again like I mentioned for the last boss fight, when I used Wings of Light it did 12,000 damage to this enemy with a critical hit. Climb up onto the road again then go left and save your game. Down the road to the right, on the corner are a number of crates, one contains a 'Nano Repair A.' You need to run up onto the stone platform and shoot the thing down that's blocking your path. Run across it and then begin moving West. When you come to a dead end take a few steps back and go down. The fourth object you destroy hides an enemy inside. The object to the left of that one has a 'Nano Repair Z' inside. Head up the ramp to the left of the two boxes. Another of those difficult enemies is at the top, he's guarding a create which contains the 'Decoder 09.' Down the ramp and above here are two 'Nano Sphere' items in the crate. Now continue down the West path. Destroy all the objects at the fork to find 'G Poison Guard' then go left. Knock both those giant spheres down into the water. Now blast one of them on your way back down, then go North at the previous fork and save your game. Head North. Operate the terminals in this order, number 6, number 5, number 6, and then number 2 twice. At this point they should both be at zero and you should have no problem going down the left side over to the right side of the room. Descend the large set of stairs outside and the climb up the ladder. In this next room go through the upper door and turn right. At the next fork after it curves around West, break all the boxes to find five 'Skill Upgrade A.' Head North and you'll find yourself at a 4-way split. Take the North path again and follow it around to reach two 'Antidote H' and Segment Address No. 5. Return to the 4-way split and go West. Enter the next room and save your game on the left, then go down the stairs and get into the train car that takes you to the Labyrinthos Core. Get off the train car and climb the stairs. Around the left side you'll find 'Med Kit S' in one of the crates. Exit through the North door. In this room run around one side to the North end and defeat the mechanoid there to get access to the treasure chest which has 'Decoder 05' inside. In case you've already forgotten that was Segment Address No. 5 you found a couple rooms back, so take the time now to go unlock it and get the 'Secret Key 20' then return to this room again. Take the Southwest path leading out of this large room. Walk a couple steps down at the top of the stairs and break all the boxes to find 'Boost Max.' Ascend the stairs above you and then get ready for another puzzle. Press the button on the terminal at the top of the stairs then run down and go under the now open gates. There's a chest at the upper left corner containing 'Rejuvenator E.' On your way back to the entrance of this room press the button on the terminal below the second gate to lower it down. Now climb the stairs again and press the button on the first terminal. Run down and across the second gate which is now lowered. When your cross the third one press the button to bring it up, then go left and rpess the button to lower the fourth one. Break the two objects above you to find 'Bio Sphere.' Descend the stairs to South and go under the upper right gate to reach a door. Now it's time to solve the block puzzle. Climb down one of the two ladders to reach the floor. Now when you shoot the blocks, they slide and fall in the direction you shot, and you goal is to make a bridge. Here's how to do it. Head to the centre point so that you're surrounded by block pillars. Notice there are six pillars, three upper ones and three lower ones. Lets call the three upper ones from left to right A, B, C, and the lower ones from left to right D, E, and F. Stand by the lower left block D, and shoot it facing South. Now stand below the upper left block A and shoot it facing North. Stand below the upper right block C and shoot it facing North. Stand above the upper middleblock B and shoot it facing South. Stand above the lower middle block E and shoot it facing South. Stand below the lower right block F and shoot it facing North. Now the bridge should be complete. Climb up the ladder on the right and start running across the blocks. Get the chest at the Northwest corner containing five 'Skill Upgrade D' then go out the Northeast door. Back in the main area again run to the South end and press the button on the terminal. Head back up and ride the elevator down. Now that you're back here again, save your game and take the Southeast exit this time. Ascend up the first ladder you come to in this room. When you reach the top go left and break the two crates to find an 'Antidote L.' Run North past the large crates, the second of which hides an enemy, through the glass. Now destroy the two large crates here to find a 'Med Kit M.' Get onto the ladder and climb all the way down to the bottom. Break the two crates and run North, keep destroying crates until you reach the top one which hides a chest. Inside the chest you'll find 'Rejuvenator DX.' Climb this aldder to the very top and head North to reach the exit. Now in the next room there are five little turnable objects. Start by turning the lower right once, lower left three times, upper right three times and the middle once. Go down the stairs and follow the path to a 'Boost Max.' Leave the room to reset the puzzle. Once it's reset, turn the lower left once, the upper right once, the upper left three times, the lower right once and the middle twice. Go down and follow the path to six 'Class Upgrade B.' Wihtout leaving the room this time run to the top again. Turn the upper left twice, the middle once, the lower left twice and the middle one more time. Now head for the door at the Northwest corner. In the main room run to the South and press the button on the terminal, the ride the elevator down and save your game once again. Ride the large elevator down and go into the room above you. Take the left branch and ride the elevator up to the next level. Press the button below you on the terminal and then go back down. Head to the centre where there is a 4- way split and take the South path to find Lock A. Now ride the elevator that you just took back up again. Cross over the top and press the button on the other side. Go down the stairs and follow the walkway South through a door. After the scene press the button on the wall above Canaan and then go back down to the first floor. Head through the North door and ride the elevator down to the Zohar Isolation Area. Destroy all the object on the left side for an 'Antidote H,' then on the right for a 'Bio Sphere.' Save and go North through the door. You need to fight a total of three normal battles before you can actually proceed further. Be sure to go back and save after winning them all. When you're fully prepared and saved, go through the North door. Personally I chose | | to drop KOS-MOS out of my KOS-MOS, Jr. and MOMO party. Now when the fight | | starts go the usual way of stocking as much as possible, and building up | | your boost. Before you let loose a combo make absolutely sure Margulis | | is facing Jin, not Jr. and MOMO, because they extra damage they'll get | | comboing from behind is substantial. Start attacking and boosting until | | you have absolutely nothing left. This should deal about 8000 damage to | | Margulus assuming you do it well. After this take the time to heal and | | use supportive magic on your party before starting the process again. | | You may notice he summons a shadow of himself from time to time, ignore | | shadow completely. Often he wastes a turn summoning it, then wastes | | another turn dismissing it. Reminds me of the fight with Jette if you've | | played that game. Anyway another thing to note is that this is where you | | can steal the third Awakening. Not only can you steal it from Margulus, | | but you can also steal one from each of his shadows. They sell for | | 500,000 towards Captain Matthews' debt so if you can pick up extras, then | | that's great. Now here's where it gets somewhat ugly. Once his life gets | | around 5000 or below he will announce the coming of "H-Stop" which means | | instant game over. He says it comes in three turns, but these three turns | | actually mean like fifteen turns for each of your characters a piece. | | Margulus' attacks don't count as a turn toward its coming, only when you | | get a big message saying "two turns remaining" is it actually still | | going. During this time you must start stocking a huge combo and you must | | eliminate him before it's too late. There's one more condition however, | | Jin must strike the final blow. Fortunately if any other characters do | | it Margulus just comes back with 1 HP, so don't worry about timing it | | perfectly, just make sure that the battle ends with Jin. One more little | | thing I just noticed. Every single shadow drops a Skill Upgrade E, so the | | longer you can delay the battle without H-Stop, the better. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o | / |/ enosaga Episode 2 /-----------------------------------------------------o /| --------o----------\ Omega System | / | (0000B) \----------------------------------------------------o o------- Item Checklist -------o There are three more GS quests available | | before the end of the game. In this case the boss has a tendency to be a bit | | "elemental" meaning it has a clear weakness, and a clear attack type. | | Taking advantage of these is easy. It's worth the skill slot just for | | this battle to equip the Flame Coat, it will severely reduce the damage | | you take from his attacks. Secondly he has is ridiculously weak to | | Thunder attacks, to using Thunder Sword on your weapon will increase you | | damage from double to triple to quadruple the more thunder based attacks | | you use. I casted Thunder Sword on the entire party and started a combo | | that chained 15 thunder attacks in a row, and MOMO's normal attack without | | a critical hit did 1500 damage, increasing each turn. When the boss gets | | low on life, like most it breaks out the powerful attacks and the boosts | | so make sure you don't wait until it's on death's door to let loose. | | | o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o === (GS No. 26 continued) Blast all the crates and talk to the kid. Now go to your menu and leave the Encephalon. Return to the Launch Area and talk to Pitt. For returning the kid, he rewards you with the 'Secret Key 10.' === The thirty-fifth GS quest is now avaiable. Head to the "Our Treasure" Inn in the Urban Area of the Kukai Foundation. Climb the stairs to the second floor then up the ladder to the third. Head out the South door to reach the roof and speak to the person there named Camille with a male character as your leader. This is like the easiest thing in the universe. Just run along this little area and examine those dirty looking broken patches in the roof, keep tapping circle to swing the frying pan and hit all ten of those areas within one minute. You won't need the whole minute. Once you finish it automatically ends. For your efforts you're rewarded with the 'Decoder 13.' All right, well if you're ready for the final dungeon it's time to board the Elsa and speak to Captain Matthews. Note that after you beat the game, you can still go aorund and do things, so in essence there is no "point of no return" in this game. In fact numerous things remain inaccessible until after you beat the game, so you might as well go do it. Off we go. In your E.S. machine, head South to the elevator and ride it down. When you stop the first time it asks where you would like to go, select stop and fight your way past the enemy on the right. Get off your machine and examine the door to find Segment Address No. 17. Decode it and get the 'Secret Key 28.' Board the E.S. and ride the elevator down to the next level. Beat up the enemy and grab the 'Nano Sphere' from the crate on the left. Now ride the elevator down once more. Go right and destroy the crate to get the 'Nano Repair Z.' Save your game at the save point on the other side then ride down one final time. Run toward the West wall and get off your E.S. machines. Through the door is a room full of odd looking crates. Break the one at the top and pick up the 'Med Kit M.' Also smash the spheres at the upper left to reveal a path. Follwo this path up the stairs and into the East door at the top, then press the button. Head back to the left and go into the door leading North at the top of the stairs. When you reach the North wall turn right and defeat the enemy to reach the chest containing 'Secret Key 24.' Now run all the way West and press the button on the terminal. Now return to your E.S. machine and go through the large door to the North. Smash through all the objects in your way in the next room and go through the door on the left. Continue to follow the path around until you reach an area where you have no choice but to get off your E.S. Take the elevator down to the lower level. Start descending all the stairs in th
