Well ok, not my first FAQ but my first walkthrough of any game. This guide covers the US version of Rogue Galaxy, so it will include things not found in the Japanese release. If you have any questions concerning this document then please send it to the email address listed at the top of page. Please mark all emails as; Rogue Galaxy FAQ/Walkthrough otherwise it might end up getting marked as spam messages. Please, no 1337 language, verbal abuse or any of that stuff when sending comments, those will be ignored. Constructive criticism is ok, but keep it clean. Yes, there will be more in this guide. I will be making several updates to get the content out and available to the readers. I hope to have this done by June 15, 2007. By then I should have the annoying little mistakes out of the way. After a few scenes |Snow Crest x2 | you will be introduced to a short tutorial |Heal Potion x3 | battle against some Baphu. These guys are |Alloy Hammer Fists (Star Key)(1) | easy. Hammer away with any of your attacks |Heal Potion x3 | and be done with them. You will start out |Thunder Stone | once you gain control of Jaster, in front |Medusa's Locks (Earth Key)(1) | of the church. Beside the church is a chest |Max Heal | containing SNOW CREST x2. Now Head inside |Thunder Stone | the church and search to the left of the |Lucky Clover (Sun Key)(1) | entrance for a chest containing HEAL POTION |Divine Healing | x3. Head back outside and take the only |Silver Bangle | available path at the moment. Upon crossing |Max Heal | a bridge you will come find a transporter. |Recharge Drink | With these you can save, teleport to a |Iron Board x2 | previously visited transporter on a planet, |Heal Potion x2 | exchange for hunter points if you have met |Tri-Heal x3 | certain conditions, and finally an item |Myriad Branch x2 (Earth Key)(2) | storage. The Exchange Points menu won't be |Silver Bangle | available just yet. After saving continue |Dreamflower Ash x3 | down the path and you will reach a T- |Snow Crest | junction and another small tutorial battle. |Izerium (bomb trap) | Again these guys are very easy. Use any |Cumulus Pendant | attack and be done with them. |Resurrection x2 | |Cold Spray (curse trap) | After the battle you can take the path |Pride of Kings (Star Key)(2) * | leading to the left to find two chests. | | One requires a certain key which you can't |* Only obtainable from Chapter | gat for awhile and the other chest contains |Ten onward | HEAL POTION x3. Head Back to the T-junction o---------------------------------o and take the other path this time. Follow | Enemies Found In Area (7) | the road for a bit and you will soon come o---------------------------------o across a chest containing a THUNDER STONE. |Baphu (30) | Enter the house next to the chest and you |Dragonfly (25) | will find another chest which requires a |Sand Tortoise (30) | different key this time. Again you will not |Mish (30) | receive this for awhile. You can climb the |Cactulus (20) | ladder in the house to reach a chest |Statue Dog (30) | containing a MAX HEAL. Head back outside |Gold Child (30) | and continue following the road and you o---------------------------------o will witness a short scene. Afterwards continue down the path and you come across an area that requires you to jump across the water. Pressing O will allow you to Jump. Pressing X or O will allow you to pull yourself up. After getting to the other side, search to the left for two chests containing C02 POWDER x2, and HEAL POTION x3. There is also another transporter nearby, so save your progress. Immediately upon turning the corner up ahead you will encounter a small scene and face your first real battle. The mysterious hooded man will leave you, but will leave behind the first Seven Star Sword of the game, The Desert Seeker, and the Battle Recorder. This will enable you to collect points from any transporter if you have met the conditions of either enemy hunts or quarry hunts. It would be a wise idea to have Jaster learn the Revelation move Flash Sword beforehand. Use the Thunder Stone you acquired from the chest in the Revelation chart and use the item where required. Revelations will become essential as the game progresses. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Giant x2 (Recommended Level 4-5) HP; 350 (Each) Elemental Weakness; None Difficulty; Medium Drops; Heal Potion x2, 84-105 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level You will notice when you start the battle that you can't seem to damage it. You will encounter a small tutorial about barrier types. This particular enemy requires that you jump and attack the head or upper body. Now before you do anything you should try that Flash Sword out. Not only does it increase your damage output but it also has the chance of electricuting the enemy, dealing extra damage every few seconds. It is also a good idea and try to separate them as much as possible. It can really hurt you if you get hit simultaneously by both Giants. Jump up and attack their head. You will get up to three swings with your main weapon before landing back on the ground. Just keep repeating the process and re-use your Flash Sword when it runs out. Be sure of course to keep your HP topped at all times, two or three solid attacks by them can kill you. After a short while they will both go down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now before proceeding down the path, be sure to check the house on the right side of the path. Inside on the floor you will find another chest which requires that final key that you will obtain. Now climb the ladder inside and you will reach a chest containing a DIVINE HEALING. Now head back outside and continue on and you will come across another transporter. Save, and enter the building to the left side. Inside you will find a shopkeeper, so make some purchase that you need, such as healing items. *See the Shop Information section for a complete list of items*. There is also a chest inside containing HEAL POTION x2. Once your ready head back out side and continue down the road. Down the path a bit, you will find a chest on the right side containing a SILVER BANGLE. Continue following the path and you will come across a huge pile of rubble in the middle of the road. Jump up on the boxes and jump up and grab a hold of the vent. Pull yourself up and make your way to the other side. Jump down afterwards and turn around to spot a chest containing a THUNDER STONE. Continue down the road a little further and you will a chest on the right side containing a MAX HEAL. Continue on and you will come across another transporter, so be sure to save your progress. Before continuing forward, I would advise you to learn any other Revelation moves possible, and get your level up to around level 6, if your still below that. Just ahead you will encounter a small scene and pick up the characters; Steve and Simon. You will now be introduces to the games one and only forced quarry boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Mark VIII Salamander (Recommended Level 6) HP; Leg Irons 200 (Each), Heart 250, Head 800 Elemental Weakness; None Difficulty; Slightly Hard Drops; Tri-Heal, Resurrection, 280 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level Hunter Points Value; 20,000 This battle is a mutiple stage battle. You first objective is to destroy the four Leg Irons. Any basic attack will do just fine. Make sure to heal if needed. It won't take too long to destroy them. Now that the Leg Irons are gone, Steve and Simon will leave the party temporarily and you will now be given a new blaster called the Monography Shot. Now the second stage of the battle begins. After a brief tutorial on its use, its time to attack its Heart. You will automatically be given a set of platforms to which you can jump on. Make your way up to the top and swing away with you sword. Be careful because it's realy easy to fall off. Take note as well that the platforms will disappear after a while. If they do, you will need to hit the boss at the front end to create another set of platforms. Make sure you heal frequently because he can charge right at you. Make use of the block command. Hold RI to block. Not only does it block and reduce damage greatly, but it will charge your action gauge faster. Repeat the process and eventually the heart will be destroyed. For the final stage of the battle it will be your objective to destroy its Head. Now the fun begins. You do not want to attack from the front, but instead from the side. He loves to breath out flames that not only do quite a bit of damage but can also light your character on fire. Use your Flash Blade and hammer away. Keep an eye on your HP and remember to block when needed. Just keep repeating the process until it finally takes the dirt nap. Now that the battle is finally over you will now be able to cash in for a whopping 20,000 hunter points at any transporter. Steve and Simon will now rejoin your party. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are a couple of shops and a few chests to grab before you leave. In the inner area of this square shaped open area are two shopkeepers. One specializes in weapons and the other in items. Purchase what you need and head back outside. Search around the same buildings for two chests containing a SILVER BANGLE, and DREAMFLOWER ASH x3. In the upper left corner of your mini-map there is a chest containing a RECHARGE DRINK. From this same area take the path leading off to the top right corner of your mini-map. Follow the road all the way to the end and enter the large building. Inside you will find a chest to the right of the stairs containing IRON BOARD x2, and to the left of the entrance a chest containing HEAL POTION x2. Head up the stairs and through the door. Upon heading outside immediately turn right and search in the far corner to find two chests. One requires the Earth Key, and the other chest contains TRI-HEAL x3. Search the other corner to the left of the entrance for a chest containing a SNOW CREST. Now teleport back to the first transporter. Just past the bridge there is a chest containing a CUMULUS PENDANT. On each side of the church you will find a chest. They contain a COLD SPRAY (curse trap), and RESURRECTION x2. Now that you have picked up all those chests, return to the town square. In the bottom right corner on your mini-map there is another transporter. Save, and take the small road to the south. Search beside the large doors on the left side for a chest containing some IZERIUM (bomb trap). Now speak with the man named Katahari and pay the 200 Zehn he asks for and rent the Yago. End of Chapter One, The Departure.. ______________________________________ / Chapter Two, The Jungle Planet \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------[0002] o-----------------------o | Rosa, Rosa Nebula | o-----------------------o After a few scenes you will now have control of Jaster onboard the Dorgenark. Save at the teleporter, and then talk to Steve at the helm. After the scene, head through the door closest to the transporter, and ride the elevator down. You will be in the lounge. Don't go through the door across to the other side, but instead take the other door. Follow the hallway down and through another door. You wil now be outside on the deck of the ship. Good thing they have shields:). After a couple of scenes Kisala will join up with you and a boss battle will occur. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Deviler x4 (Recommended Level 7) HP 407 each Elemental Weakness; Fire, Ice Difficulty; Semi-Easy Drops; Heal Potion x2, 84-105 Experience; Depends solely on your current level This battle isn't as hard as you might expect. Yes, there are four enemies but they really don't hit all that hard. Have Jaster shooting from a distance and block while they are circling around the front of the ship. Once you finish off a couple of them, it will become a lot easier. Just keep your HP up at all times and you'll be fine. Before long the battle will be over. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now a few scenes will play out and you will now be on a totally new planet. o-------------------------------o | Juraika, Path to Burkaqua | o-------------------------------o o---------------------------------o After a brief tutorial on the ship you | Treasure Chests Found (23) | will now have two allies join you, Zegram, o---------------------------------o and Kisala. You will be on he deck of the |Graverosse | ship. Take the lift on the right side down |Sanchez Fruit x4 | to the ground. Follow the path down a bit |Bolt Shuriken | and you will find a shopkeeper. Purchase |Mimic | some healing supplies and get one or two |Mimic | Burning Blasters for Jaster. Search the |Dreamflower Ash | chest beside the shopkeeper for GRAVEROSSE. |Thunder Stones x3 (Earth Key)(3) | Once you are ready, follow the path down |Myriad Branch | for a bit and you will encounter a small |Milit-Grade Battery (Star Key)(3)| scene. Down the path a little further there |Cumulus Pendant | is a chest on the right side of the path |Resurrection x3 | containing SANCHEZ FRUIT x4. Down the path |Silver Bangle | further there is another chest containing a |Mimic | BOLT SHURIKEN. Equip that to Zegram, and |Spirit Bell | continue follwing the path for another |Queen Bee Stinger | short scene. You will eventually reach a |Heal Potion x3 | 4-way intersection. Save at the transporter |Tri-Heal | and take the path to the right for now. |Mimic | |Pirate's Grog | Down the path a bit there will be two paths |Mimic | leading to the left and right as well as |Hellpot Flame x2 | the path you are on. Ignore the paths |Divine Healing x2 | in the other directions for now and follow |Yago Milk | the path a little further to reach a chest. |Thunder Stones (Earth Key)(4) | Beware, this is not an actual chest, but o---------------------------------o contains a Mimic. These guys are very hard | Enemies found in area (9) | compared to the other regular enemies you o---------------------------------o have fought so far here. You options for |Horrorwood (30) | beating these guys are low right now, so |Smiley (20) | I'd advice using Jaster's blaster instead |King Bee (35) | of his sword. You will be forced to use a |Gorra (25) | Resurrection or heal potion periodically. |Mutch (30) | And don't forget to block. His attacks can |Stump (30) | wipe you out in a matter of two to three |Pirahnite (20) | hits. It will eventually fall and you will |Moui (30) | obtain a Hunter Coin. Now technically you |Blue Thunder (30) | don't have to grab the chests containing o---------------------------------o Mimics, but each one you battle and defeat, you will be rewarded with a Hunter Coin. For further reference Mimics can be identified by the color of locking mechanism on the front of the chest. If the chest has a brown locking mechanism, then it's a Mimic. I would advise heading back to the transporter for now and save. Once you are ready head back down the path again and take the path to the right this time. You will need to jump up to reach the path. Follow the path down to the end and you will find two chests. The chest on the left side of the water contains a DREAMFLOWER ASH. The chest on the right side of the water contains another Mimic. Use the same tactics as before and take this guy out. You will be awarded with another Hunter Coin. Each and every Mimic you defeat will drop them. Afterwards head back to the teleporter and save. Take the path to the north as indicated on the mini-map. Up the path a bit you will find a chest requiring the Earth Key. Continue down the path and you will reach a dead-end, and a short scene. You can't do anything here yet, so head back to the teleporter and take the path to the west this time. Follow the path down until it splits. Continue heading west and you will reach a chest briefly that contains a MYRIAD BRANCH. Now head back and take the other route this time. Follow that path to reach another teleporter. Save, and head down towards the small hut. As you approach the door a small scene will play out. Afterwards you will receive the key item, the Power Glove. Inside the hut, there is a locked chest requiring the Star Key. Outside, there is a chest to the right and behind the hut containing HEAL POTION x2. Now make your way back to that dead-end with the giant statue. There will be a small scene and you will see a small circular icon with a ? on top. These are known as "Thinking Circles". Press X on top of it, and a small item menu will come up. Use the newly acquired Power Glove, and you will move the statue. Now that the path is clear make your way down it. You will now have the ability to participate in challenge battles. Each time you meet the conditions of a challenge battle you will be rewarded with a Hunter Coin. The condition types are; Win without taking damage Win under a certain time limit Win in under a certain time limit without healing or abilities Win alone using a specific character It's up to you whether you want to try and fulfill those condition, but ultimately it will be up to you. They appear randomly from time to time. I would strongly advise getting as many as you can get though. Also note that the lower the level you are in an area, the better the chance of a challenge battle appearing. Further ahead there are two chests containing a CUMULUS PENDANT, and RESURRECTION x3. Up ahead you run into another intersection as well as a transporter across the river. You can't do anything to the north fot now, so head back across the water. Down the path to the west, there is a chest containing a SILVER BANGLE, as well as a shopkeeper. Make sure to purchase some healing items, as well as the Rock Crusher for Jaster, the Pirate's Glaives for Kisala, and the Half-Moon Rising. Each of those weapons are a little stronger than ones you have already. Once you have everything continue heading down the path to the west. You will shortly come across a battle against some Gorra. These guys are just like the other ones, but you will receive the game's first Ancient Scroll for after defeating it. This can teach any one character the Burning Strike I ability. Now enemies will drop small blue orbs after defeating each enemy. As you pick them up a small gauge will fill up. Once there is a "5" on the top left hand side of the screen, you can press RI and Square at the same time to perform a 5 hit combo move. It does great damage to one enemy and will not deplete your action gauge. Down the path a little further is another chest containing a Mimic. Use your best attack, and take care of it in the same fashion as you did the other two. Follow the path some more and you will reach a chest on the left side containing a SPIRIT BELL. Now make your way to the end of the path to reach a transporter and another small hut. Save, and make your way to the cabin. After a short scene, you will receive a Bomb. Afterwards, check the side of the hut for a chest containing a QUEEN BEE STINGER. Now head back and cross the river and head past the transporter. You will soon come across a huge boulder. Use that newly acquired Bomb at the "Thinking Circle" to blow that rock to smithereens. Now that the path is open, continue forward. Up ahead the path narrows out, and there are no encounters in that area. There is a chest in the area up ahead containing some HEAL POTION x3. Now make your way down further to reach a 4-way intersection. For now, make your way down the path to the west on your map. You will find a chest immediately containing a TRI-HEAL. Follow this path the rest of the way and you will reach a dead-end and two chests containing a PIRATE's GROG, and a Mimic. Defeat it for another Hunter Coin and then make your way back to the intersection. Now make your way up the path to the north. Up the path a bit you will run into another chest containing a Mimic. Continue down the path a little further to find a chest containing a HELLPOT FLAME. Move up a little further, and you will encounter a small scene and be introduced to the Insectron mini- game. You will also receive the Insector Trap I and the Rearing Cage I, along with some Sanchez Fruit. Insectron will be covered at a later point. For now make you way down the rest of the path. After a short distance, you will reach the gates of Burkaqua Village. Unfortunately they don't take too kindly to strangers, and refuse you passage into the village. Well its time to make your way back down the path and back to the intersection. Take the last unexplored path to the east this time. Down the path a bit there is another transporter, so make sure you save. It would also be a good idea to see if there are any new revelations you can learn. Once you are ready head a little further down the path to encounter a scene and a boss battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Mud Whooper (Recommended level 14) HP 6,000 Elemetal Weakness; Fire, Ice Difficulty; Medium Drops; Rock Crusher, Heal Potion, 350 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience You will not be able to use Kisala for this battle, you will however have the use of an NPC instead. It is advised that you try and stay out of range of this boss because his lightning attacks are devastating. Chances are you will be using a lot of Resurrections and Heal Potions for the other two characters. So stand from a distance and fire off shots with Jaster's blaster. If he starts leping towards you make sure you block. If you want to get up close and personal while you blaster gauge is refilling, I would advise using the Flash Blade skill first to slightly increase damage output. Eventually it will fall and you emerge victorious. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Afterwards a small scene will occur and you will be given Toady, the Synthesis Frog. You can use the Synthesis Frog to combine two different weapon to make a totally new, more powerful type. Certain weapon combination will give you better results, while others will not be very effective. For now leave the Desert Seeker alone. You will also acquire the Ridge Crusher sword for Jaster. The command "Frog Log" will be added to your main menu. You can use this to check different weapon combinations as the game progresses. Take note that quite a few combinations will not show up here. Before making your way back to Burkaqua Village, there are three chests in this swamp area. The top right corner on your map is a chest which requires the Earth Key, the other two chests are close to the path. They contain some YAGO MILK, and DIVINE HEALING x2. Now save at the transporter and make your way to the village when you're ready. End of Chapter Two, The Jungle Planet.. ___________________________________________ / Chapter Three, The Star God's Altar \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------[0003] o-------------------------------o | Juraika, Burkaqua Village | o-------------------------------o o---------------------------------o After viewing the short scene at the | Treasure Chests Found (9) | entrance to the village, you will no be o---------------------------------o allowed entrance. Before heading to the |Dreamflower Ash | Chief's hut, your next objective, take your |Mellow Banana | time to search the small huts, up a couple |Juraikan Coffee Beans | of ladders and outside, for several chests |Wishing Star (Earth Key)(5) | containing DREAMFLOWER ASH, JURAIKAN COFFEE |Star Earrings | BEANS x3, a chest requiring the Earth Key, |Ancient Scroll I | a pair of STAR EARRINGS, RECHARGE DRINK x3, |Recharge Drink x3 | MELLOW BANANA, and final an ANCIENT |Earth Key | SCROLL I. Up the hill in the north side of |Heal Potion x3 | the village is a shopkeeper hut. There are o---------------------------------o quite a few nice things to buy. Omega Stars and Hyper Crystals can be fused with any weapon that is maxed with skill to add points to various elemental properties, depending on what number of points they are sitting at. It's best to avoid them for now, since they are not needed at this time and are rather expensive. Get what weapons and items you want and take the path to the north. Follow it until you reach the end for a chest containing HEAL POTION x3. Now head back to the village and make your way to the small hut with the large double doors. AS you approach the doos there will be a scene. Aferwards head bach into the Chief's hut and open the chest inside for the EARTH KEY. That's one of the three keys now. You can open the chest in the village requiring that key to obtain WISHING STARS. Head back to the area you fought the Mud Whooper for another Earth Key chest containing THUNDER STONE x2. And finally make your way due north from the Creekside teleporter to find the third Earth Key chest containing DYNAMITE HANDS. Once to have all those make your way back to the village. Head towards the house near the transporter and then head up to the door. After the scene it will be morning again and you will be free to move around freely. I would strongly suggest that you try synthesizing some better weapons right now. Always save before trying. Here's a hint; if you mix a Rock Crusher and a Ridge Crusher together it will create a Gaia Crusher, and the other weapons will disappear permenantly. There are hundreds of different to go with, this is just a start and to show you how it works. Once you are ready, make your way up to the western exit. There will be a short scene to follow. Once that is finished you are able to travel to your next destination. o--------------------------------o | Jurakai, Path to the Altar | o--------------------------------o o---------------------------------o Before heading down the path, make sure to | Treasure Chests Found (14) | check beside the entrance back to the o---------------------------------o village for a chest containing some |Medusa's Locks | MEDUSA's LOCKS. It would also be a good |Ancient Scroll I (Earth Key)(6) | idea to use those Star Earrings you got in |Magic Lipstick | the village and teach Jaster the Illusion |Heal Potion x3 | Sword Lv.1 ability. You will need a Diamond |Frozen Slasher | as well, so if you never got one from an |Hoho Bird Feather x4 | enemy drop, head back to the shop at Rhyzas |Mimic | Swamp and buy one there. Not only does this |Myriad Branch x2 | skill increase Jaster's attack, it also |Ruby | allows him to attack from a safe distance |Wanderer's Coat (Star Key)(4) | with his sword. The other added bonus is |Queen Bee Stinger x2 | that it adds the holy element to his |Jungle Coat | attacks, making it an effective Mimic |Snow Crest | killer move. |Magic Lipstick * | |Antidote x2 * | Continue up the path now and you will reach | | a T-junction. For now take the path leading |* - Available after chapter 5 | to the right on the map. Follow the path o---------------------------------o all the way as far it goes and you will a | Enemies found in area (11) | reach a teleporter. Save, and search to the o---------------------------------o right side of it for a chest containing an |Mutch (30) | ANCIENT SCROLL I, which requires the Earth |King Bee (35) | Key. Now continue up to the crashed |Blue Thunder (30) | ship and a scene will play out. Afterwards |Gorra (25) | you will receive the Broken Freeze Shot. |Moui (30) | You can't do anything with that just yet, |Maurya (20) | but there are four chests around the ship. |Stinger (30) | To the left side and towards the back are |Red Spider (30) | two chests containing HEAL POTION x3, and |Cactugus (30) | some MAGIC LIPSTICK. To the right side and |Shadow Wood (20) | to the back of the ship is a chest which |Muu Muu (20) | contains a FROZEN SLASHER. Now if you |Horrorwood (30) | check the northern tip of this area you can o---------------------------------o find a chest containing HOHO BIRD FEATHER x4. You may have to turn rotate your position to be able to see it. Once you have gathered the chests and such, make your way back to the intersection and take the other path this time. Follow the path for a short distance and there will be another intersection. For now make your way down the path to your the left. Follow the path alongside the river bank and you will come across a chest which contains a Mimic. Once you have beaten it, make your way down the path and you will eventually reach a transporter. Save, and make your way to the hut. Upon crossing the bridge a small scene will play out. You will now have acquired the Freeze Shot. Inside the hut there is a chest at the top of the ladder which requires the Star Key. Outside the hut there are two chests containing MYRIAD BRANCH x2, and a RUBY. Once you picked up both chests, make your way back to the intersection and proceed down the other path this time. Ahead you will find another teleporter, and a shopkeeper. Save and purchase any items you need. Don't waste too much money at the moment. If you insist on getting everything, then it would be a good idea to fight around for a bit with the local groups of enemies. You will need quite a bit of cash for after you complete your objective and such. To the left of the shopkeeper there is a lone chest containing a QUEEN BEE STINGER. From there you will need to swim across the water and head to the base of the huge waterfall. Remember that Freeze Shot you just acquired? Well now you need to use it at the "Thinking Circle". This will freeze the waterfall for you. Now in order to get to the top of the waterfall you will need to use that trusty old Monography Shot on the same circle. This will create a set of small platforms up to the top. Once you get up about 3/4 of the way there will be a chest to the right side which contains JUNGLE COAT. Be careful when jumping or you may have to make your way back up again. Once you reach the top, follow the water down and search the bank to the right for a chest containing a SNOW CREST, continue following the river until you see a path leading to your right. Up ahead there will be a small scene and Zegram will leave your group temporarily. Up the path a little further is another transporter, so make sure you save and cash in for any hunter points you may have earned up to this point. If you have any Revelation abilities, now would be a good time to learn them. Once you are ready continue down the path for a scene and a boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Individer (Recommended level 16) HP 7,000 Elemental Weakness; Ice Difficulty; Medium Drops: Tri-Heal, Resurrection, 560 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience The first thing you should realize is that for now you will only have Kisala with you, which makes it a little more dangerous than if you had three with you. Start by equipping the Freeze Shot. You can't damage it unless it is frozen. Shoot it once to freeze it. Now that it's frozen, use that Illusion Sword Lv.1 technique you learn earlier. You may have to move the target by using the left or right directional buttons since there are mutiple worms as well. Just concentrate on the boss. The effects of the Freeze shot are only temporary so you will need to blast another shot at it if it wears off. After doing a bit of damage to it, you will be joined by Lilika for the remainder of the battle. Just use the same techniques as before, and heal when needed and the battle will be over shortly, and you will emerge victorious. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** There are two chests in this large area as well, but you can't get them yet. After the battle, and a few small scenes Lilika will now join your party as a permenant character. End of Chapter Three, The Star God's Altar.. ______________________________________ / Chapter Four, The Great Escape \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------[0004] o--------------------------------------o | Zerard, The Great City of Zerard | o--------------------------------------o For the entire chapter, you will only be able to use Jaster, Simon, and Lilika o---------------------------------o Now that you have left Juraika, there will | Treasure Chests Found (21) | be a few scenes to follow. Once they are o---------------------------------o finished, you will now be on the main |Absolute Zero Stone x2 | street in the city of Zerard. While it |Spirit Bell | ultmately is your objective to renew your |Dreamflower Ash | travel visa at the Galaxy Corperation, |Silver Bangle | there are a few things you should do first. |Max Heal x2 | If you turn around and head down on your |Firestone x3 (Star Key)(5) | map, you can enter the Space Port. Inside |Divine Healing | this room, there are two chests. One of |Ruby x3 | them requires the Star Key, and the other |Lapis Lazuli | chest contains a DIVINE HEALING. Now head |Ranger Pod I | through the door to the south. There are a |Tri-Heal | total of five chests in this area. To the |Geo Hands | right of entering open the two chests for |Retro Boombox x3 | a SILVER BANGLE, and MAX HEAL x2. Head down |Ancient Scroll (Earth Key)(7) | the stairs and search to your left for |Hard Candy x2 | three more chests containing DREAMFLOWER |Ancient Scroll I (thief's trap) | ASH, a SPIRIT BELL, and ABSOLUTE ZERO STONE |Energy Charger | x2. Once you have collected all the chests |Flame God's Stone x2 | possible return to the main street. |Thunder Stone x2 | |Hoho Bird Feather (Star Key)(6) | Make your way up the road and you will |Dreamflower Ash | reach a shopkeeper and an intersection. o---------------------------------o Purchase a few healing items, but don't spend too much just yet. You may notice that there is a card icon beside the Strength Star. In order to purchase those items, you will be required to obtain a specific License. Unfortunately it won't be available for some time. The two paths leading to your right and left are dead-ends, only the path to your left has anything. Open the chest down the short road to the west for RUBY x3. Now head back and take the road leading to the north on your map. You will come across a large fountain and another 4-way intersection. The road to the north leads to the Galaxy Corperation, while the roads to the east lead to the East and West Side, respectively. For now take the road leading west. Make you way down the long road and through the tunnel and you will be in the West Side area of the city. Upon leaving the tunnel there is a shop up ahead. There are also two chests beside it containing a LAPIS LAZULI, and a TRI-HEAL. Head inside the shop and check out the merchandise. You can buy some different materials here, but be careful how much you spend. You can always come back at a later time and get these, plus there are still more shops to go to. Head back outside and continue following the road to reach another shop on the left side of the road. This shopkeeper specializes in weapons. I strongly suggest that you only invest in equipment for your active party at the moment. Head back outside and continue down the road. You will soon reach an area that is blocked off for the moment. If you rotate the camera you will spot a chest which contains a RANGER POD I. Once you have everything, head back to the fountain and take the road to the east. Follow the long road again and head through the long tunnel to reach the East Side area of the city. Upon entering the East Side you will soon spot a chest containing GEO HANDS. Up ahead is another chest containing RETRO BOOMBOX, and a shop to the right. This is another item shop, so try not to spend too much money here if you can avoid it. There is also a chest if you climb the ladder which you can open with the Earth Key for an ANCIENT SCROLL I. Head back outside and continue down the road until you reach another intersection. If you take the road to the east you will reach another transporter, and the entrance to the Insectron Stadium. Inside there are two shops. The shopkeeper in the front counter will sell you an Insectron License for 3,000 Zehn. If you can spare the extra cash then get it, otherwise you can always get it later. The person at the back counter will sell numerous different materials which can be used for either Revelations of for for raising any Insectors. I would advise just leaving those items in here alone for the time being unless you have a good amount of Zehn. In the back there are a few of the Insector players you can talk to, and a person standing in the middle. Here you can register for an Insectron tourmament if you have collected five Insectors. Chances are you won't have collected much and right now you would stand no chance even if you did. This quest is better left alone for a while until you have more money, and you can get more materials. Trust me you'll be burning through these items like crazy when building a team. For now head back outside. Head back to the intersection and take the other road this time. You'll soon come across another shop that also specializes in weapons. Like before with the other weapon shop, only get equipment for your active party. You won't be able to go any further down the road for now, but there is a chest outside of the shop which contains HARD CANDY x2. Now make your way back to the 4-way intersection at the fountain. Now make your way north and you will see another transporter. Use it if you want, and make your way up a little further to reach another shop. If you have what you want from the other shops and have any extra cash, them by all means top up your items. Up the path there is another 4-way intersection. For now take the road to the right and you will reach two chests containing STICKY GUM x5, and a TRI-CHARGE. Now head back and take the road north and enter the Galaxy Corperation. Once inside, there are a few chests you can get before you go and try to renew your visa. Save at the transporter, and then search around the outer ring of the room for chests containing an ANCIENT SCROLL I (thief's trap), an ENERGY CHARGER,, FLAME GOD'S STONE, and THUNDER STONE x2. Now enter the upper foyer from the back side of the room, and you will spot two chests. One requires the Star Key, and the other contains a DREAMFLOWER ASH. For future reference there will be a shop at the back counter that specializes in monster quarries, this will become available once the story progresses some more. Once you are ready, head towards the front counter for a few scenes. Now you will have to prepare yourself for quite a long and hard dungeon. o--------------------------------o | Zerard, Rosencaster Prison | o--------------------------------o o---------------------------------o After a few scenes you will now be inside | Treasure Chests Found (49) | Hell (or what will seem like it). Walk up o---------------------------------o to the man in the corner of the cell to |Heal Potion x3 | start a scene. Afterwards you will be |Tri-Heal x4 | released from the cell. Upon exiting the |Recharge Drink x3 | cell, there is a shopkeeper that has a few |Heal Potion x4 | items for sale. If you need anything later |Max Heal x2 | in the dungeon, you can come back here to |Metal Breaker | purchase more items. To the left and ahead |Tri-Resurrection x3(thief's trap)| are two prison cells which can be entered. |Paralysis Cure x5 | The cell to your left contains HEAL POTION |Resurrection x2 | x4, MAX HEAL x2, METAL BREAKER, and |Heal Potion x4 | TRI-RESURRECTION x3 (thief's trap). Now |Dragon God Skull | search the wother cell for chests which |Tri-Heal | contain HEAL POTION x3, TRI-HEAL x4, and |Recharge Drink x4 | RECHARGE DRINK x3. Equip Jaster with the |Prison Barrier Card | Metal Breaker you just picked up and save |Binding Frost | at the transporter. Take the elevator to |Silver Bangle | the right and ride it up to Prison Level 3. |Magic Lipstick | |Dreamflower Ash | Make your way through a door and you will |Cursed Mask | be inside a large chamber. Beware of the |Flame God's Stone x2 | enemies that are in the prison, since they |Dragon God Skull | are rather powerful at the moment. From |Electro Nozzle | the entrance here, take the path leading |Dream Mushroom | down. Down a bit you will reach a chest |Heal Potion x3 | containing PARALYSIS CURE x5. Now jump off |Medusa's Locks | the edge and you will land at the bottom. |Max Heal x2 | To the left of the staircase there are two |Antidote x2 | chests containing RESURRECTION x2, and |Resurrection x3 | HEAL POTION x4. Now make yor way back up |Heal Potion x2 | to the entrance door and follow the path |Mimic | straight across this time. Once you reach |Absolute Zero Stone | the other door you will find two chests |Max Heal x3 | containing a DRAGON GOD SKULL, and |Ancient Scroll I | a TRI-HEAL. You can now learn Jaster's |Mimic | Desert Wind Lv.2 provided you learned |Tri-Resurrection x2 | Desert Wind Lv.1, and have the materials; |Tri-Heal x4 | Dreamflower Ash, Sanchez Fruit x2, Hot |Killer Grenades | Breath and the Dragon God Skull you just |Silver Bangle x2 | picked up. This will really ease your way |Prison EV Startup Chip | through this dungeon. |Cursed Mask | |Ruby | Now head through the door in front of you, |Sea Gazer Bow | and then proceed through one more door. |Mimic | Down the hall there will be another shop. |Lubricant | This shop carries some good weapons, but |Divine Blessing x2 | they are rather expensive. Be sure to stock |Pirate's Grog | up on supplies, and battle some more |Dreamflower Ash x2 | enemies if you require extra cash. The |Mirror Unit | Binding Frost and Triton's Hatchet you can |Ultraspicy Pepper * | find in chests further ahead, so it's your | | call. Once you're ready head though the |* - Available during Chapter 5 | next door and save at the transporter. o---------------------------------o Through the next door you will be inside | Enemies found in area (11) | another large chamber. You will witness a o---------------------------------o short scene and a battle. Just a standard |Roller (20) | battle. Dispatch them with Desert Wind Lv.2 |Slime (30) | or with Illusion sword buffing. Now head |Tarantula (30) | down a bit and grab the chest containing |Petit Pooch (30) | RECHARGE DRINK x4, and then head down to |Livid Ape (30) | your right. Around 3/4 of the way down you |Shadowman (30) | you will find a chest to the left of the |Savage Dog (30) | "Thinking Circle" containing the PRISON |Crow (30) | BARRIER CARD. Before heading to the right |Proto Beast (30) | there are two chests at the bottom which |Nelvoron (25) | contain a BINDING FROST, and a SILVER |Phantom Tail (30) | BANGLE. Now make your way to the "Thinking o---------------------------------o Circle" and use the newly acquire Prison Barrier Key and proceed through the next foor doors, to reach another large chamber. Take the path leading up and be sure to check beside a cage for a chest containing a MAGIC LIPSTICK. Further ahead you will find two more chests containing a CURSED MASK, and DREAMFLOWER ASH x2. Make your way to the top and enter the door. Make your way down the hall and then follow the path leading to the right. Open the chest at the end of the hall for a TRITON'S HATCHET, and then take the elevator up to Prison Level 2. Once you reach the top, make sure to save at the transporter and then head through the door. Search to the right for a chest containing FLAME GOD'S STONE x2. Down the hall you will find another shopkeeper. Be sure to restock your supplies if needed. At the end of the hall there is a chest containing SMOKED RAINBOW NEWT x2. Head through the door on your left side, and into another large chamber. Take the path leading up and you will find chests containing DRAGON GOD SKULL, and ELECTRO NOZZLE on your way to the top. In the next room there are two chests which contain a DREAM MUSHROOM, and HEAL POTION x3. Now head through the next door and you will be in another large chamber. Head down to the bottom and search for three chests containing a MEDUSA'S LOCKS, an ANCIENT SCROLL I, and ABSOLUTE ZERO STONE x2. Now make your way up. Grab the chests on the way to the top for MAX HEAL, and ANTIDOTE x2, and enter the door at the top. You will now be in a smaller chamber. Make your way to the top and through the door, to reach Prison Level 1. You just over half way done now. Take the path leading up for now to find four chests containing RESURRECTION x3, HEAL POTION x2, a Mimic, and finally an ABSOLUTE ZERO STONE. Once you have picked up all those chests make your way back down and take the other door. There are two chests in the next room which contain MAX HEAL x3, and an ANCIENT SCROLL I. Now proceed through two more doors. In this room there are three chests containing a Mimic, TRI-RESURRECTION x2, and TRI-HEAL x4. Now head through the door to your left and you will be in another large chamber. At the bottom you can search for a chest containing some KILLER GRENADES. Now make your way up. Make sure to grab the chests along the way for SILVER BANGLE x2, a PRISON EV STARTUP CHIP, and a RUBY. Head through the door at the top, and you will be in a room with a teleporter and another shopkeeper. Save, and purchase any items you need. You can purchase some Omega Stars or Hyper Crystals if you want, but don't waste them on a weapon you plan to combine right away. Once you are ready, use the Prison EV Startup Chip at the "Thinking Circle" and then make your way up to Interior Pathway A3. There are some new enemies that you can fight from now, until the conclusion of this dungeon. Head through the doorway and enter the room to the left. Inside you will find a chest containing a SEA GAZER BOW. Now head back out, and make your way down the zig-zagging path until you reach another transporter. Make sure to save, and then enter through the door. Inside the next room you will see the remains of what appears to be the Mark VIII Salamander tha you defeated on Rosa. Move forward a bit to encounter a small scene. Afterwards, grab the chest by the remains for a CURSED MASK. Now make your way up either set of stairs and enter the door at the top. Follow the zig-zagging path and you will come across two chests containing a Mimic, and some LUBRICANT. Follow the path a little more and another small scene will occur. Once that is finished, follow the hallway down a little further until it branches. Take the hall to your right and proceed until you can enter a small room on the right. Search inside for a chest containing DIVINE BLESSING x2. Now head back out and back to the branch. Follow the hall down a bit to spot a chest containing some PIRATE'S GROG. Now turn right and follow the hallway until you reach an intersection. Ignore the path to your right, since it will just loop around and head to your left. Down the hall you will find a transporter, and a elevator leading to the next floor. Save, and take the elevator up to Interior Pathway A2. You're almost finished this dungeon. Follow the path down, ignoring the first hallway to the right and turn right down the second hallway to the right. At the bottom, ignore the hall leading to the right, since it just loops around. A little further down you will reach another transporter . You should probably try and build some skills in your Revelation chart if possible. You can also synthesize new weapons if you want, but it shouldn't be too much of a concern right now. Now head through the next door for a scene and be prepared to face a boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Rosencaster (Recommended Level 25) HP; 7,500 Elemental Weakness; None Difficulty; Slightly Hard Drops; Max Heal, 840 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience This is a harder battle than the ones you have faced so far. You do not want to get too close to this guy, since he inflict absurd amounts of damage in quick succession. There are a couple of differt ways to deal with him. The first way is by spamming multiple Desert Wind Lv.2 at him, and the second way is too stand back an use Illusion Sword sword enhanced attacks. Just remember that if you go with the Desert Wind spamming, if you don't block right after it, you will lead yourself wide open to his attacks while your action gauge is replenishing. If you decide to go the Illusion Sword way, it would be a good idea to have Lilika use Warrior God's Cry, assuming you have it, to further enhance your attack power. You will be healing more often, but you will also be racking up the damage a lot faster. Either way just keep up the damage and healing and he will go down and you will come out the victorious. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After a few small scenes you will finally be out of this prison and get to see the light of day again, but before heading back to the Galaxy Corperation head back into the prison from the exit you came out of and just down the hall there will be a transporter. Save, and continue down and you will find two chests containing DREAMFLOWER ASH x2, and MIRROR UNIT. After that you will have to take the long way back to the Galaxy Corperation. You can also check some of the shops for some newer stock as well, since you should have a good haul from the prison. Upon exiting the long tunnel there will be a couple of short scenes and a little further down there you will witness your first of many scenes with Miyoko and Chie. Simon will now leave you party for now and Steve will join up. Once you are ready head back to the Galaxy Corperation and up towards MIO. End of Chapter Four, The Great Escape.. _______________________________________ / Chapter Five, The Master Hacker \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------[0005] For the next chapter your party will consist of Jaster, Steve and Lilika. Once that scene finishes, you can head back to the Rosencaster Prison and ride the elevator down from the exit you came out of reach a new unexplored section of the prison. Follow the path and enter the elevator heading down to another part Interior Pathway A3. Follow the hall for a bit to find a chest containing an ULTRASPICY PEPPER. Yay! That's it for the prison. If you want you can visit the shops around the city to stock up, and to check out the new stock available. Now make your way to the East Side and head past the weapon shop. Ahead you will encounter a small scene. Once that is finished, be sure to save at the transporter. If you check to the right side of the building you can find two chests. One chest contains YAGO MILK x3, and the other chest requires the Star Key. Once you are ready enter the building. o----------------------------------o | Zerard, The Starship Factory | o----------------------------------o o---------------------------------o Head down the steps for a scene and you | Treasure Chests Found (22) | will face off against a group of 8 Max o---------------------------------o robots. Use Desert Wind Lv.2 to make short |Yago Milk x3 | work of these guys. Once you have beaten |Captain's Sock (Star Key)(7) | these robots, take the escalator up and |Lapis Lazuli | enter the next area. The next area consists |Dreamflower Ash x3 | of a series of looping hallways. From the |Energy Charger x2 | entrance immediately head to the west. |Factory Key | Once you reach the intersection, turn to |Ancient Scroll I | left and simply follow the hallway down |Electric Eel (Earth Key)(8) | until you reach a transporter. Save, and |Revolva Alloy | enter the door beside it. The other paths |Super CPU | just loop around to the other side anyway. |Lab Coat (Sun Key)(2) | |Mimic | You will be inside of a large cargo type |Mirror Unit x2 | area. To the left of entering you will |Tri-Elixir | find a chest containing a LUPIS LAZULI. |Dragon God Skull | Now head south on your map through any |Factory Key | one of the three doors and make your way |Tachyon Motor | to the other side of this cargo area. |Mimic | At the end you will find a steel-caged |Lubricant x2 | lift. Take it to the top and you will see |Zenon D * | a long linear catwalk in front of you. Be |Brave Sprit * | sure to check to the side just ahead for |Zaranium Armor * | a chest containing the FACTORY KEY. Once | | you have that, make your way across the |* - Must be at least Chapter Six | long catwalk until you reach another wider o---------------------------------o platform. If you look to the right you can | Enemies found in area (10) | see a small gap in the fencing. You will o---------------------------------o need to jump from this spot onto a moving |Tarantula (30) | platform. You may have to wait for the |Petite Dog (30) | platform to get to you. Be careful when |Cleaner Bob (30) | jumping on to it, otherwise you will have |Type-J (25) | make your way back up the lift again. When |Type-K (25) | you board quickly move to the other side |Max (30) | and jump through the gap in the fence on |Yellow Bolt (30) | the other side. Pick up the two chests |Green Bolt (30) | containing ENERGY CHARGER x2, and some |Oilder (30) | DREAMFLOWER ASH x3. Now jump back on the |Shock Gem (30) | moving platform again and ride it down to o---------------------------------o the other side. Jump off on the bottom right corner of your map through the small gap. Use the newly acquired Factory Key at the "Thinking Circle" and then make your way through the door. You will now be in another set of looping hallways. Follow the hall to the right and ignore the halls leading off to the left, and then the right. You will soon come across another doorway. Inside the next room is another large cargo area and a short scene will follow. Afterwards you will have to re-enter the room. To the right of entering is a chest which contains an ANCIENT SCROLL I. Now save at the teleporter and cash in any hunter points you have at this point. Head over to the edge and fall off. Head over to the elevator straight across from where you landed and make your up. Just ahead if you check to the side of the crates you can find a chest containing and ELECTRIC EEL which you'll need to use that Earth Key of yours. Now follow the catwalk in front you down to the other side and jump off. In the upper left corner of the map are two chests containing some REVOLVA ALLOY, and a SUPER CPU. Now make your way through the door on the upper right side of the room. You will be in another set of looping hallways. Take the path to your right, ignoring the path leading off to the left and turn the corner. At the next intersection head right and follow the path until you reach another teleporter. make sure you save because there is a mini boss battle coming up. In the next area is another large cargo area where you encounter a small scene and group of bosses. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Attack Walker x3 (Recommended Level 26) HP; 7,300 (each) Elemetal Weakness; Electric Difficulty; Medium Drops; 210 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience Your first priority when dealing with these guys are to use charge attacks to get rid of their shield. Once their shields are down have Jaster use his Flash Blade skill since these guys are weak to lightning, and have Lilika use Warrior God's Cry. Have Steve use Electro Punch as well if you learned it yet. Try concentrating on one at at time. Be sure to heal frequently because they can hit rather hard and juggle you around a bit. When your skills runs out make to to use them again. It shouldn't take take too long before these guys fall and you emerge victorious. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the battle a couple of scenes will play out and you will now be in Dr. Pocacchio's Lab. Inside his lab there is a chest which requires the Sun Key. Before continuing on there are some chests we have to back and collect. Save at the teleporter and head west until you reach small branch in the hall. Head west ignoring the path leading to the right and continue down and enter the door to your right. Just inside the large room there is a shopkeeper, so purchase any items you may want and then jump off the ledge. In the upper left corner of the room there is a chest containing a Mimic. Damn these guys are getting strong! Now head to the southeast and open the chest beside the elevator for a MIRROR UNIT x2. Ride the elevator up and grab the chest at the end of the platform containing TRI-ELIXIR (cursed trap), now carefully time you jump and get on the moving platform, just ride it to the upper right and jump to the right again to re-enter the hallway you came in from. This time head straight east down the path ignoring the path leading off to the left and then ahead to the right and keep going until you find another teleporter. Save, and enter the next large area for a small scene and another battle against some more Max robots. Dispatch these guys like you did the last ones you faced to make things easier on yourself. Once the battle is over, grab the chest in the upper left corner of the map for a DRAGON GOD SKULL. Now make your way down to the bottom area of the room and search there for a chest containing a FACTORY KEY. Now make your way to the upper left area of this room and take the steel-caged lift to the top. Make your way over the the upper right corner using the moving platforms again to grab a chest containing TACHYON MOTOR x3, Now make your way across the moving platforms and search the bottom left corner for two more chests which contain LUBRICANT x2, and a Mimic. You next destination is the bottom right corner across the moving platforms. Now use your newly acquired Factory Key at the "Thinking Circle" and enter the final set of looping hallways. All you need to do now is follow the hallway to the right and follow it straight down until you reach another teleporter. Now befreo entering the next and final room, make sure you update your Revelation Charts. It would also be a good idea and try and synthesize some better weapons. Around 130 attack is more than sufficient. Once you are ready enter through the door to the right for a scene and a boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Jupis Robot/Jupis Robot DX (Recommended Level 28) HP; 16,450 (combined) Elemental Weakness; Electric Difficulty; Hard Drops; Space Compressor, Moebius Battery, 1330 Zehn Experience; 1,236 for active member and 2/3 of that for reserve characters At the start of this battle you will quickly notice that no matter what attack you use, it will have absolutely no effect. For now the best thing to do is just hold R1 for a bit. Make sure you heal if needed. After about 35-40 seconds a small scene will play out and you will receive the Barrier Break Shot for Jaster. Equip that blaster and fire one shot at it to remove its barrier for good. Since this boss is extremely weak to electrical attacks, have Jaster use his Flash Blade, and Steve use his Electro Punch ability. Coupled with a Warrior God's Cry from Lilika, you can cause you to do great damage to this guy. However, he does move around quite a bit so you will have to chase him down. Make sure to block if he shoots his rockets at you and make sure to keep your HP up. Once you take his HP down to around the half-way point a small scene will occur and the robot will transform into the Jupis Robot DX. Now he will hit a little harder and moves around quite a bit. Your best option for this part of the battle is to have Jaster using Illusion Sword attacks, while Steve continues using his Electro Punch and Lilika uses her Warrior God's Cry. If your abilities run out, use them again. Make sure you keep an eye on your HP and you will eventually emerge victious. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the hard battle and a couple of scenes, you will now be inside of Pocacchio's Lab. You will acquire the Factory:) As you collect various blueprints from around the galaxy, you can make new items that can only be obtained through this method. You can talk to the shopkeeper Joshua to purchase a buch of very useful materials if you want. The Factory will now be available in your main menu, so you won't have to come back here if you want to make an item. Now that that is finished, you can use the teleporter outside the lab, and teleporter directly to the entrance of the Galaxy Corperation. Talk to MIO at the counter to finally obtain the Galactic Travel Visa. You will also acquire a MIO Fan Club Card #0078500. The shop at the back counter is finally open for business. Instead of buying items here, you can purchase monster quarries. For now there are only two available. Buy the following quarries; "The Tomb Guardian" 800 Zehn "The Cave Bandit" 800 Zehn Both of these quarry hunts are on the next planet you will be visiting shortly. Now is the time to start collecting some factory blueprints. NPCs that carry them can be indicated by a yellow orb over their head. Here's a list a currently available blueprints; *Names in the brackets is the name of the blueprint* Elbim on the West Side inside the item shop; - Freeze Guard (Freeze defense) - Mind Guard (Confuse defense) - Daze Guard (Daze defense) - Shock Guard (Shock defense) - Poison Guard (Poison defense) - Paralyze Guard (Paralyze defense) - Flame Guard (Flame defense) Maddox outside of the item shop on the West Side; - Perfect Reviver (Miraculous Flames) Museen inside the East Side item ship; - Tri-Elixir (Recovery vial) Sando on the East Side near the weapon shop; - Alexander (Sword of holy lightning) Kabter inside the back area of the Insectron Stadium; - Rearing Cage III (Elusive bug cage) Osmond inside the back area of the Insectron Stadium; - Insector Trap III (Elusive bug cage) Kobbit on the outside of the Starship Factory; - Twin Tornado (High-tech tornado gun) Eman in the first room of the Starship Factory; - Divine Blessing (Healing vial) Korbi inside the first large cargo area; - Trap Canceller (Treasure hunter's ally) Other blueprints available; - Assembler III (Ultra-useful assembler) - Create the Athanor first - Unconscious Guard (Unconscious defense) - Create the Athanor first - Athanor (Magical smelter) - Comes with the factory That's a total of 18 blueprints available already. You're already half way to getting them all:) Purchase all the items from shops you want and head back for the Dorgenark and your next destination. As you arrive in the control room near the helm Jupis will now join your party. Head outside onto the deck, walk out a bit and try to re-enter. You will encounter a few small scenes, afterwards head up to the control room for a couple of scenes and now you're ready for the next destination. Before doing that head to Juraika and then head back to the area that you fought the Individer and collect two chests containing MAGIC LIPSTICK and ANTIDOTE x2. Once you are finished, choose Vedan at the helm as your destination. Your party will now consist of Jaster, Kisala, and soon to be your eighth and final character for next chapter. Once you're ready enter the bar, and a scene will play out. Now once that is finished, turn around and enter the bar again. To your left side upon entering is a chest which contains the STAR KEY. You will need to use the Earth Key to get it. You are also joined by your final party member, Deego. *Please note that if you do not grab the Star Key at the this brief gap in the storyline, you will have to wait until chapter eight for another chance to acquire it.* ***OPTIONAL QUESTS*** Now that you have finally acquire the Star Key, it's time to grab some chests, as well as completing a few other events. First, make your way to Rosa to grab three locked chests. The chest near the beginning of Salgin at the dead-end contains an ALLOY HAMMER. Use the Star Key for this chest. Enter the building down from the T-junction and open the chest in there for a MEDUSA'S LOCKS. Use the Earth Key for that chest. Now make your way to the landing pad area at the Spaceport and open the chest there for MYRIAD BRANCH x2. Use the Earth Key for that chest. Now head for Juraika to grab two locked chests. Head to Filio's hut and climb the ladder to grab the chest containing a MILITARY-GRADE BATTERY. Use the Star Key for this chest. Climb the ladder in Sherio's hut and grab the chest there for a WANDERER'S COAT. Use the Star Key for this chest. Now make your way to Zerard for three more locked chests. To the right side of the Starship Factory is a chest containing a CAPTAIN'S SOCK. Use the Star Key for this chest. Inside the first room of the spaceport, grab the chest for FIRESTONE x3. Use the Star Key for this chest. Now head to the Galaxy Corperation and open the chest here for a HOHO BIRD FEATHER. Use the Star Key for this chest Now that you're back in the Galaxy Corperation, talk to MIO if you have any Hunter Coins. You will need a total of 120 Coins in total to obtain the Silver License, The Gold License, and the Platinum License. You must get them in that order, which means you can't just skip the Silver and Gold to go straight for the Platinum License. Bummer huh? You can also check out your completion rank. There are a total of eight categories. (See section MIO's Rewards for more information). If you complete any of these to 100%, you will be rewarded for it. Hopefully you at least have enough coins for he Silver License and have a good count towards the Gold License. There is one more place to go to. Make your way to the first large cargo room in the Starship Factory. Ride the steel-caged lift up to the top and then make your way to the top right platform. The door there will now be open. Make your way and turn right at the intersection. Continue following the hall, ignoring the hall to the left and you will eventually reach the first of three battles against Assault Walkers. Your first order of business is to blast each one with a shot from your Barrier Break shot. With the barriers out of the way, just spam multiple hitting moves like Desert Wind Lv.2, or any other effective move. Keep an eye on your HP since these guys can hit quite hard. They will fall eventually. Continue down the hall until you reach a T-junction and your second battle with two Assault Walker. Use the same strategy as before and take them out. Now follow the path leading north and you will reach the final battle against two more Assault Walkers. After you defeat them, continue down the hall for a bit and search to the left for three chests containing ZENOM D, BRAVE SPIRIT, and the ZERANIUM ARMOR. You won't be able to equip the weapons until those characters levels are in their mid 30s. *Note; that you MUST defeat all three Assault Walker battles or the chests will not appear* Once you are finished make your way back to Vedan. ***END OF OPTIONAL QUESTS*** You can now open the two chests you cam across ealier. The first chest is in the North Myna Station, which contains an ANCIENT SCROLL II. Use the Star Key. The second is near the 4-way intersection before reaching Angela's Bar. Open that chest for a GUARDIAN 44. Use the Star Key for this chest as well. From, the intersection take the road to the west for now. Continue down the winding road and you will end up at the west Observation Deck. To left of entering this area is a chest containing SNOW CREST x2. There is also a teleporter, so make sure to save. Now purchase any items you need from the shopkeeper. In this area you can battle two different enemies that will not show up anywhere else other than the two Observation Decks. Once you have everything here, make your way back to the 4-way intersection. Now head east this time, and make your way into another plaza type area. Search the eastern wall in the area for a chest which contains FLAME GOD'S STONE x2. Head south and you will be back in front of Angela's Bar. Save at the teleporter and head east. After a short distance check to the right for a chest which contains another Dustbox. Continue down the road, and through the tunnel-like passage. You will now reach a T-junction. There are three chests in this area. Two of them are easy enough to spot, and they contain some CARBON ALLOY, and YAGO MILK. The chest containing STEALTH PILLS requires you to jump up onto a small ledge in the middle of this junction. Press the R3 button to go to a first person view if you can't find it. Now take the road leading north. Once you reach another T-junction, head west. Down the road a bit there are three chests. One requires the Sun Key, the other two contain a SNOW CREST, and an ELECTRIC EEL. To the north there is a passage leading off to the west, which you can't enter at this time. Be sure and talk to Drapp to receive the blueprint; Crystal of power Now make your way north until you reach another T-junction. From here head east Down the road there is a chest to the right which contains a CURSED MASK. Now make your way down the road until see a building on your map that you can enter. Inside there is a shopkeeper who specializes in weapons. Purchase what you need here. There are two chests in here as well that contains a PRIMEVAL BEEF (bomb trap), and a DIAMOND. Talk to Trimble in the shop to acquire another blueprint: Seals away power. Now head outside and save at the teleporter. Make your way past the next intersection and grab the chest for a STELLA CRYSTAL. Once you reach the next intersection, head north from there, and make your way down the long winding road. You will now be in the east Observation Deck. Upon reaching this area search to your left for a chest containing HARD CANDY x2. Save at the teleporter and head to your right. On the far eastern tip is another chest which contains MERCY SPRITES. If you would like you can make your way to the end of the long platform and use a Mirror unit the the "Thinking Circle" here to battle the quarry hunt; "The Tomb Guardian", otherwise you can skip this part, its up to you. You will get to keep the Mirror Unit that you use here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OPTIONAL BOSS BATTLE; Flabbergazer (Recommended Level 32+) HP; 15,000 Elemental Weakness; Electric Difficulty; Medium Drops: Guardian 44 Experience; Depends solely on your current level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience Hunter Point Value; 8,500 Hunter Points You will have a hard time defeating this boss if your levels are under 30. Since this boss is weak against electric-based attacks, you should have Jaster using his Flash Blade skill (the higher level the better). Have Kisala use her Dagger Slash, and Deego use any attack buffing skills if you have learned any for him yet. You will need to jump and attack his head, just in the same way you took out. With the Flash Blade in effect you have a small chance of causing him to elctricute. This works much like the poison status, and will last for a few seconds. Make sure to constantly heal, because you will be up close and personal for this battle. Use your Flash Blade if it runs out and continue pummeling this beast until you eventually emerge victorious. You can cash in for 8,500 Hunter Points at any teleporter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that you have everything in this area, it's time to make your way back to the intersection. Continue south from there to find three chests close to each other containing FIRE SHIELD, MAX HEAL x2, and TRI-HEAL x4. Continue down under bridge and talk to Shukoka for the blueprint; Hide from beasts Ahead of you is a teleporter and a shop. Save, and head inside the shop. Here, you'll be able to purchase an infinite supply of Tri-Heals, so make sure to stock on those. Make sure you keep at least 1,500 Zehn so you can purchase the Mine ID Card. Talk to Minth for another blueprint; Seals away defense There is also two cheset in here which contain a WALKIE-TALKIE (thief's trap), and an ENERGY CHARGER. Now head outside for a scene and you will encounter another small battle against Morarty's Henchman. Dispose of them with a Desert Wind Lv.2. Once that is done, make your way back to Angela's Bar for a scene. Now head east again from the bar and ignore the road leading north this time. Head through the tunnel-shaped passage. Up ahead inside you will find a chest which contains another Dustbox. Once it has been defeated, continue through the tunnel until you reach the other side. Jump up to your right and climb the stairs. Save at the teleporter. There are three other chests through Myna for now that you can collect. Each one of the requires that you jump from the top of the train that travels throughout the town. The first chest is at the end of the tunnel to the east of Angela's Bar, at the end of the tunnel. Press the R3 to spot it up on some metal grating. The train will travel through this area but you will have to be patient. Jump up and open the chest for a SILVER AXE. The second chest is to the east of the item shop and slightly north of the overpass. Press the R3 button and search above to see on the metal grating. Again you will have to wait for the train to come nearby. Jump up there when you can to reach a chest containing ULTRAVIOLET SABRE. The last of the three is located to the north of the weapon shop. It's located where the road turns south. It's on your left hand side if your travelling from the weapon shop. Use your R3 button again if you are having problems locating it. This chest contains the PHANTOM ROBE. Once you picked all those up, make you way back to the southeast section and enter through the door beside the teleporter. Proceed through the next two doors and you will be in the South Myna train terminal. Near the top of the escalator is a chest which contains a MAGIC LIPSTICK. Use the Star Key for this chest. Now board the train and head for the Rockbelter Mine Station. Now make your way to the end of the train to find two chests containing a LAPIS LAZULI, and FLAME GOD'S STONE x3. Head through a couple of doors and you will reach the entrance to the mines. o----------------------------o | Vedan, Rockbelter Mine | o----------------------------o o---------------------------------o As you enter through the last door and into | Treasure Chests Found (17) | the mine make sure to save at the o---------------------------------o teleporter. Synthesis some new weapons if |Dragon God Skull | you can. I would say having weapons with |Mimic | around 175-180 would do nicely. Follow the |Tri-Elixir x2 | shaft for a bit and you will encounter a |Medusa's Locks | scene. Once that is finished, continue down |Lapis Lazuli | the mine shaft and collect the chest up |Myriad Branch | ahead for a DRAGON GOD SKULL. Down the |Hellpot Flame x2 | shaft a little further is chest which has a |Premiere Toy Box | Mimic inside. Now make your way down a bit |Electric Eel | further to reach an overpass intersection. |Thunder Stone | Jump down to your right and you will reach |Alluring Lamp | a chest at the dead-end containing |Ancient Scroll II (cursed trap) | TRI-ELIXIR x2. Make your way back to the |Tri-Heal x2 (Star Key)(10) | overpass and continue heading to the east. |Lapis Lazuli | Continue down the shaft and ignore the two |Retro Boombox | paths leading north and you will reach an |Flame God's Stone x3 | overpass. Search underneath it for a chest |Heavy Attachment | containing some MEDUSA'S LOCKS. Continue o---------------------------------o down the shaft to reach another | Enemies found in area (8) | intersection. To the east is a teleporter o---------------------------------o and an elevator headind down. Head to the |Volcano (20) | west for now a search a small alchove just |Moleman (30) | ahead for a chest which contains a LAPIS |Shellknight (30) | LAZULI. Now make your way back to the |Undead Bandit (25) | teleporter, save, and then ride the lift |Killer Mountain (20) | down to the 2nd Strata. |Hypher (30) | |Ghost Animal (25) | At the bottom turn the map and search to |Glaring Claw (25) | the right of elevator for a chest which o---------------------------------o contains a MYRIAD BRANCH. Now follow the shaft down and will pass under an overpass. Keep following the shaft and you will reach another overpass with a shopkeeper in the middle. Purchase what you need here and continue heading south until you arrive underneath another underpass. Search for a chest containing HELLPOT FLAME x2. Now make you way back to the last over pass. Jump down to the east and make your way down until you reach a dead-end that has a chest containing a PREMIERE TOY BOX. Now head to the east just in front of the chest, and follow the shaft and reach an overpass. Jump down to the south, and follow it down the rest of the way, and then save at the teleporter. Once you are ready, take the left down and you will enter the Excavation Site. Up ahead a bit there is a chest which contains an ELECTRIC EEL. Before you go any further I would strongly suggest that you learn both Top Dog and the Bone Shield Revelation skills for Deego. Once you are ready continue following the path and you reach a semi-large open area. There will be a scene and you will have to battle two bosses consectively. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Early Model Drill Rig (Recommended level 34) HP; Right Arm 5,043 Left Arm 5,043 Body 10,086 Elemental Weakness; Electric Difficulty; Easy Drops; Perfect Heal, Perfect Reviver, Tri-Elixir, 1,400 Zehn Experience; 3,012 for active characters and 2/3 for reserve characters To start this battle, you must take care of both of the arms first. This is a rather simple task. Stand back from a distance and spam your strongest multiple hitting moves. It will take a few of them, but it will keep you out of harms way for now. Once the arms are destroyed you will now be able to attack body. Since this boss has a huge weakness to electric type attacks, you should have Jaster using Flash Sword Lv.2, and Deego using his top dog skill. Just hammer away at him, and of course make sure to heal when needed. It should drop in a matter of a few seconds. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's not over yet, now there will be a short scene to follow and now the real battle begins. You will have to control Deego alone for the next battle. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Gale (Recommended level 34) HP; 10,340 Elemental Weakness; None Difficulty; Hard Drops; Tri-Heal Experience; 1,000 for Deego and 2/3 for the rest of your party members Ok this battle is hard. It is one that can be lost at a blink of the eye if you are not careful, he hits fast and hard. Start the battle by using the ability Top Dog which boosts his attack power a little. The only time you want to attack him is when he is either "taunting" you, or reloading his ammo. So block right away if he attacks. Heal if necessary. If your Top Dog expires make sure to re-use it at your next opportunity. Don't gamble in this fight, he has a LOT of HP and one mistake can force you to battle both bosses again. And don't be distracted like I was the first time by all the chests. After awhile he will eventually fall. Phew, that's finally over:) You will get the Officer's Coin from Gale. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the scene open the chests in the room for THUNDER STONE, ALLURING LAMP, ANCIENT SCROLL II (curse trap), LAPIS LAZULI, and TRI-HEAL x2 which requires the Star Key. Now head west through the small passage way into a huge open area, saving at the teleporter along the way. Climb down the sets of stairs to find a chest containing RETRO BOOMBOX. In the Southeast section of this room is a chest containing FLAME GOD'S STONE x3, and in the Northwest corner is a chest containing HEAVY ATTACHMENT (search behind the large boulders). Now if you have purchased the bounty information for the Quarry "The Cave Bandit" you can use a Stella Crystal at the "Thinking Circle". However it's best to avoid this one for now anyway (I'll let you know when it's a good time). Now that that's over with, make your way out of the mines by teleporting and then head back to Angela's Bar for a short scene. Now head to the North Myna train station for a few scenes. From now on you will now be able to pick and choose you active party. Jaster can't be removed however. End of Chapter Six, The Guide.. _______________________________________ / Chapter Seven, Valkog's Ambition \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------[0007] Upon arriving back on the Dorgenark you will be given the Dorgengoa's Coin. Use this on Jaster's Revelation chart to unlock Shooting Star. Now before you head to Rosa there are few things to do first. *** OPTIONAL QUESTS*** Head to The Galaxy Corperation and talk to MIO if you have enough coins for another Licence. Be sure to make a stop by the back to get the new quarries; "The Steel Shipwright" 1,200 Zehn "The Voracious Wanderer" 1,200 Zehn "The Wayward Phantasm" 1,200 Zehn Only one of those quarries can be completed right now. Head to the Rosa Nebula, and make your way to the deck of the ship. At the very front of the ship you will find a "Thinking Circle". If you have a Primeval Beef you can use it here to face off against the quarry " The Voracious Wanderer". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OPTIONAL BOSS BATTLE; Hammerhead (Recommended Level 36) HP; 18,000 Elemental Weakness; Wind Difficulty; Semi-Easy Drops; Cosmo Jacket, 1,120-1,400 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience Hunter Point Value; 18,000 This battle is much like the battle against the 4 Devilers you fought at the start of Chapter Two. Now there is only one of them to deal with this time around. Start by have Jaster use his Illusion Sword ability. Have your other two character using attacks raising buff to increase damage output. You may notice that he has a set pattern when circling around the ship. So when he comes around, stand to the side and hammer away from a safe distance with Jaster. Make sure you heal when needed and just keep pounding away with him. You can also use your blaster if you want as well. It shouldn't take too long to defeat it and emerger victorious. You can cash in for another 18,000 Hunter Points when you reach another teleporter. You should be in the 20-30 range if you have been completing most of the monster hunts and quarries up to this point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** END OF OPTIONAL QUESTS*** Now make your way to Rosa when your ready. Purchase what items you want from the shop, and then make your way to the right side of the Salgin Residential town square. Save at the teleporter and head through the nearby exit. *Just a note, when following the directions I give, be sure to follow them with the mini-map, not the compass. The compass in this game is rather annoying to follow* The directions are all different on this planet. Stupid, I know >_< o------------------------------------------o | Rosa, Sylvazard Desert/Ancient Ruins | o------------------------------------------o o---------------------------------o Follow the path for a bit and the path will | Treasure Chests Found (25) | split for a brief distance. Continue on o---------------------------------o until you see a path leading off to the |Flame God's Stone x2 | left. Follow it and grab the two chests |Zipangu Axe | which contain a ZIPANGU AXE, FLAME GOD'S |Tri-Heal x4 | STONE x3. Now head back and continue down |Seventhmoon x3 | the main path. Eventually you will come |Star Earrings | across two chests containing TRI-HEAL x4, |Absolute Zero Stone x2 | and SEVENTH MOON x3 and a teleporter. Save |Nebuladon Egg (Star Key)(12) | and enter the ruins. This place is like a |Ruby x3 | maze and is a little bit hard to navigate |Hoho Bird Feather x2 | your way through. Continue up a bit and |Mimic | head to the left and around a wall to spot |Juraikan Coffee Beans x3 | a shopkeeper. Stock up supplies if needed |Medusa's Locks | and be sure to grab some Ancient Scroll II |Sticky Gum x3 | while your at it. Head east on your map and |Hellpot Flame x2 | take the second short path to reach a chest |Sanchez Fruit x3 | which contains a STAR EARRINGS. Now take |Ancient Scroll II | the path on the other side of the wall this |Mimic | time. |Reflect Armor | |Flame God's Stone x3(Star Key)(13) Down the path a bit you will see a set of |Diamond x2 | stairs. If you purchased the quarry "The |Snow Crest x3 | Wayward Phantasm" you will see a "Thinking |Elixir x2 | Circle" at the bottom. To the right side of |Babylon's Hatchet | the steps is a chest containing ABSOLUTE |Skull Necklace | ZERO STONE x2. Now head south on your map |Lunar Ribbon | through the large opening and grab the o---------------------------------o chest to your left for NEBULADON EGG. Use | Enemies found in area (8) | the Star Key for this chest. Now head west o---------------------------------o and enter the doorway on the left. Turn |Scorpion (30) | east and follow the path until you reach |Vulture (20) | a doorway to the east. In the next room |Killer Mish (30) | turn and head south the reach a teleporter |Worm (20) | and three chests. Save, and search the |Shisa (30) | chests for RUBY x3, HOHO BIRD FEATHER x2 |Lord Bee (35) | and Mimic. Now head east and into a semi- |Living Lava (20) | open area of desert. Keep to the right |Black Horn (20) | and you will see a small set of stairs. |Death Skeletar (30) | Ignore them and jump to the left of them o---------------------------------o across and grab a hold of the wall. Climb over and jump down to grab the chest containing JURAIKAN COFFEE BEANS x3. Now jump back across and head down those stairs. Head south and enter the small circular room. Head east a tiny bit and enter the alchove. Jump up at the highest spot and onto the ledge. Follow it down a bit and you will see a scene. Up ahead take the doorway to the right. Grab the chest in this room containing MEDUSA'S LOCKS and head through the doorway beside it. There are two chests in this large open area containing STICKY GUM x3 and HELLPOT FLAME x2. Keep to the east in this large open area passing the lone man and up towards the three people. Jump down to the right just before reaching them, and enter the door on the right. Open all eight chests here containing SANCHEZ FRUIT x3, ANCIENT SCROLL II, Mimic, REFLECT ARMOR, FLAME GOD'S STONE x3 which requires the Star Key, DIAMOND x2, SNOW CREST x3 and ELIXIR x2. Now that you have horded all the chests, head through the doorway opposite of which you came in. Head up the stairs in front of you, head right and go up a tiny bit and then head left through the doorway. Instead of going through the doorway in front of you, go in behind a wall to the left of it to find another room with a chest containing BABYLON'S HATCHET. Head through the large doorway and into a large room with a teleporter. Grab the two chests to the left containing SKULL NECKLACE and LUNAR RIBBON and head up through the tunnel. Watch the scenes and be prepared to face a boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BOSS BATTLE; Seed (Recommended Level 38) HP; 20,000 Elemental Weakness; None Difficulty; Medium Drops; Nothing Experience; Nothing You can't win this battle, but you do have to hold out for around a minute. Make sure you keep healed up, because if you lose before the scene occurs it's Game Over. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once the battle ends there will be another couple of scenes and you will be back in the bar on the Dorgenark. Step on the teleporter to watch another scene with Mark and then save. End of Chapter Seven, Valkog's Ambition.. ______________________________________ / Chapter Eight, Chasing a Legend \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------[0008] First and foremost this a very long chapter, it will take over ten hours if not more to complete it. There are a few things to do right now before collecting the three key pieces. Start by heading to the Galaxy Corperation and purchasing the quarries; "The Shapeless Assassin" 1,400 Zehn "The Tower Predator" 1,800 Zehn "The Tower Metador" 1,800 Zehn You don't need to go to those right away, but you can do the quarry "The Steel Shipwright". Go to the shop (Bivine) near Pocacchio's Lab and purchase some Cyclonic Pump. In the same room, jump across a moving platform onto the spacecraft. Use a Cyclonic Pump at the "Thinking Circle" to battle a boss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OPTIONAL BOSS BATTLE; Strike Ogre (Recommended Level 38) HP; 18,000 Elemental Weakness; Holy Difficulty; Very Easy Drops; Grandius, 896-1,120 Zehn Experience; Depends solely on your current level, reserve characters earn 2/3 of the active party experience Hunter Point Value; 14,500 Hunter Points Another enemy that requires head shots. Start off by having Jaster use Illusion Sword. This boss is very vulnerable to it and will rack up the damage very quickly. Make sure you keep healing if needed and this boss should drop in no time. Not very hard, but you have to wait for those silly Cyclonic Pumps to appear in shops. Anyway head back to any teleporter and redeem your points. Now leave the factory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **If you want a really powerful sword at this point, here's a formula for Jaster's Seven Star sword Earthshaker; Desert Seeker I + Shining Blazon (weapon shop on Zerard) = Desert Seeker II Desert Seeker II + Alex Decider (Rosa, Salgin weapon shop) = Desert Seeker III Desert Seeker III + Blizzard Edge (Vedan, weapon shop) = Earthshaker This sword has 373 attack power and gives a huge elemantal boost to Fire and Holy elements. You must be level 40 to equip this. There are other formulas you can use to get the sword, this is just one of them. You can get the sword as early as chapter four but at that point you are nowhere near the level to equip it.** Now it's time to collect a few more blueprints from various planets. Here's a list of available blueprints during the course of chapter 8. Some NPCs will require that you obtain 1-2 key pieces first; *Names in the brackets is the name of the blueprint* Lark inside the Zerard Spaceport; - Justice Ray (Gun of the righteous) Chad in the loading area of the Zerard Spaceport; Pedock in the Rosa Spaceport; - Homing Shooter (Off-the-hook CD case) Masculin in the East Side item shop on Zerard; Anideba near Filio's Hut; - Heavenly Guide Bow (Winged Thunder Bow) Sulman inside the East Side weapon shop on Zerard; Slumba near Angela's Bar on Vedan; - Deep Drill Fingers (Chaos-inducing whopper) Jobman near the entrance leading down to the Cancer King's Ruins on Vedan; Rumar inside the first large cargo area inside the Starship factory on Zerard; - Deep Drill Fingers (Well-honed drill bit) Louin near the entrance to the Starship Factory; - Maid Betty Robot (Mechanical oddjobber) Ricard near the West Side weapon shop on Zerard; - Odin's Spear (Legendary demon spear) Duella inside the West Side weapon shop on Zerard; - Devil Forks (Claw glowing with evil) Lugei inside the Myna weapon shop on Vedan; Yorkman inside the Reasidential Area weapon shop on Rosa; - Gustbringer (Sword of biting gales) Suraia at the South Myna Station Plaza on Vedan; - Excelion Shard (Shard of ancient sword) Alban near the dead-end on Rosa where you rented the Yago; Mukajiri inside the Residental Area town square item shop on Rosa; - Crescent Moon (Sword of vivid moonlight) Agassimo in the large open area before heading into the Rosa Spaceport; Misanna inside the church on Rosa; - Ixion (Sword of frozen fate) * You must talk to Agassimo first, before you can talk with Misanna If you have been collecting all the blueprints up to this point of the game you should have a total of 34/36 possible blueprints. Make any purchases you need, and update you Revelation chart. It's time to get some key pieces. We'll start with Juraika first. o--------------------------------o | Juraika, Path to the Ruins | o--------------------------------o o---------------------------------o Go to Burkaqua village and take the road | Treasure Chests Found (26) | to the northeast now that it is opened. o---------------------------------o Up ahead is a teleporter, so save and |Walkie-Talkie (Earth Key)(9) | continue up the road and grab the chests |Ultra Spicy Pepper x4 | along the way containing WALKIE-TALKIE |Medusa's Locks x2 | and ULTRA SPICY PEPPER x4. You will soon |Dark Music Box | be on top of a bridge with the right and |Juraikan Coffee Beans | left passages leading to dead-ends and |Dreamflower Ash | nothing important, so continue north. Up |Flame God's Stone (curse trap) | the path you will find a chest containing |Ruby x3 | MEDUSA'S LOCKS x2. Continue up to reach |Ultra Spicy Pepper x3 | another teleporter. Just a little further |Hellpot Flame | ahead you will find a shopkeeper. Purchase |Dream Muchroom | some Perfect Heal, the shields and any |Tri-Elixir | other items you need. |Alkaid | |Nebuladon Egg | Head north just a touch and grab the chest |Nebula Opal (Sun Key)(4) | containing DARK MUSIC BOX. A little |Smoked Rainbow Newt | further north there is a collapsed bridge |Tri-Charge x4 | with two chests. Open them for JURAIKAN |Queen Bee Stinger x3 | COFFEE BEANS x3 and DREAMFLOWER ASH. Now |Mimic | head east from the broken bridge to reach |Ancient Scroll II | two chests containing FLAME GOD'S STONE |Hoho Bird Feather x2 | (cursed) and RUBY x3. Now you have a |Perfect Heal x2 | choice you can head north or west from |Mimic | the broken bridge. Let's head north for |Divine Healing | now. Head north and west until you reach |Heal Potion x5 | a large open room. Be very careful of the |Royal Servant's Clothes | Red Horns in this area they hit hard and o---------------------------------o often come in groups of 3-5. Now turn | Enemies found in area (8) | north again and follow the path to another o---------------------------------o large open area. |Dancing Doll (30) | |Fancy Fowl (30) | Collect the chests in this room containing |Smilier (20) | ULTRA SPICY PEPPER x2, HELLPOT FLAME, |Ancient Mish (30) | DREAM MUSHROOM x4 and TRI-ELIXIR. You can |Poisonous Fly (25) | talk to Mesod in the room for some info. |Infernal Fruit (20) | *Try and save one of your Dream Mushrooms |Red Horn (20) | and Hoho Bird Feathers because you will be |Go Oak (30) | able to get some Rose of Passion o---------------------------------o momentarily and have the opportunity to finally learn Desert Wind Lv. 3.* Now continue through the exit to the west. Follow this path to another large open area collecting the ALKAID along the way. In this room there are three chests. Two contain NEBULADON EGG and SMOKED RAINBOW NEWT, the other chest requires the Sun Key. Now follow the path to the west and continue until you reach another large open area. Save at the teleporter in here, and grab the two chests containing TRI-CHARGE x4 and QUEEN BEE STINGER x3. Take the south path first. Continue until you turn east and collect the chest containing Mimic. These Mimics are getting strong. Follow the path down until you reach another bridge. jump down to the west and grab the chests PERFECT HEAL x2, HOHO BIRD FEATHER x2 and ANCIENT SCROLL II. Now head back under the bridge and head east to find a chest containing another Mimic. You are back to the area near a shop so head there are resupply. Use the teleporter to the south and select Endpoint as your destination. Save here and follow the path north. Continue over the bridge ignoring the path to the right or left and search the small alchove on the other side for two chests containing DIVINE HEALING and HEAL POTION x5. A little further ahead you can check the right side of an alchove for a chest containing ROYAL SERVANT'S CLOTHES. Follow the path and you will eventually reach the next area. o-------------------------------o | Juraika, Leo King's Ruins | o-------------------------------o o---------------------------------o Save at the teleporter and then enter | Treasure Chests Found (22) | the castle. Inside the first room o---------------------------------o you will encounter a small scene and a |Sealing Sunsphere x4 | battle against some Dark Gigants. These |Stellar Dream Bow (Star Key)(13) | guys are actually a regular encounter |Ancient Scroll II | you will face inside the ruins so it'll |Hellpot Flame x3 | be a good warmup. Attack their head and |Cumulus Pendant | heal when necessary and you should be |Imperial Piercer | fine. After the battle head through the |Hoho Bird Feather x4 | next door. In the next area there is a |Malebolge 200X | main path and another path the side and |Antidote x2 | below that circles it. Take the main path |Mimic | path first. When you reach a split in the |Dark Music Box | main path take the right path to reach a |Heal Potion x2 | chest containing SEALING SUNSPHERE x4. Now |Perfect Heal x2 | head back and take the other path. A |Brave Symbol | little further ahead there will be another |Lunar Ribbon | branch in the road. Ignore that path |Skull Necklace | heading north and follow the other heading |Mimic | south. Before you can grab the chest you |Perfect Reviver x2 (Star Key)(14)| will encounter a small scene. Head back |Dark Onyx (thief's trap) | through the door and open the chest for |Queen Bee Stinger | STELLAR DREAM BOW (Star Key). There are |Primival Beef | two chests on the north outside path |Flame God's Stone x3 | containing ANCIENT SCROLL II and HELLPOT o---------------------------------o FLAME x3. Now head through the door to the | Enemies found in area (10) | east and into another smaller room. o---------------------------------o |Poisonous Fly (25) | Head up a bit and check the chest on the |Dark Gigant (20) | right next to the door for CUMULUS PENDANT |Angry Spirit (20) | and head through the door. In the next |Rafflesia (20) | large area save at the teleporter and |Stinger Assassin (30) | follow the main path. Ignore the path to |Club Titan (25) | the south and head north. Further up the |Mandorla (30) | path a bit there is a chest containing |Evil Monkey (30) | IMPERIAL PIERCER. It's a very strong |White Ghost (30) | weapon for Jupis provided you are level |Stone Tortoise (30) | 43 or higher. Further ahead is a chest o---------------------------------o containing HOHO BIRD FEATHER x4. Continue foward for quite a while and you will eventually reach a branch in the path heading north or south. Ignore the path to the south and head north a little to find a chest containing MALEBOLGE 200X. Continue the rest of the way down to find a door. Now jump down a circle the outside area for chests containing ANTIDOTE x2, Mimic, DARK MUSIC BOX, HEAL POTION x2 and FLAME GOD'S STONE x3, Find a good place to climb back up and then head through the next door. You are now in another huge area, the last one. Just inside the door is a teleporter so save and head east. Stock up on healing supplies and anything else that interests you. To the left of the shop is a chest containing PERFECT HEAL x2. Follow the path for a while an there will be another split in the road. Take the right path a little ways to find three chests containing BRAVE SYMBOL, LUNAR RIBBON and SKULL NECKLACE. Now take the north path and follow it until you reach another teleporter. Save, and head up a little for a chest containing Mimic. Continue up the path for another scene with Chie and Miyoko. Drop down below and search the outside area for chests containing PERFECT REVIVER x2 (Star Key), DARK ONYX (thief's trap), QUEEN BEE STINGER and PRIMEVAL BEEF. There are some good revelation material dropped here as well. Club Titan drops Biomemory, Dream Mushroom and Myriad Branch. Mandorla drops Magic Lipstick, Rose of Passion and Sealing Sunsphere. Rafflesia drop Edensia (extreme low chance). Take some time to get some of these great materials if you want. At least try and get one Rose of Passion to learn Desert Wind Lv.3. Restock your healing supplies. When you are ready head through the door to the east and save at the teleporter and synth some weapons. Around 205-220 should be good. If you made the Earthbreaker you will be much better off. A little further ahead you will encounter another scene and.. BOSS BATTLE; Mad Witch (Recommended Level 42) HP; 13,830 Drops; 4,100 Exp, 2,100 Zehn, Perfect Heal, Omega Star Another very tough batttle, or at least can be if you are not prepared. She is fast, she hits very hard and she teleports. Be careful because not only is her lightning skill devasting but she can also confuse you as well. There are two ways you can do this battle. The first is spamming Desert Wind Lv.3 or using Illusion Sword and a buff spell. Make sure you try and keep your HP topped at all times because you could wind up with two characters dead in less than a second. Thankfully she doen't have that much in terms of HP. If you are spamming Desert Wind Lv.3 try and keep one of the other two character dedicated to healing while your action gauge is filling. Either way she shouldn't take too long. After a small scene you will finally be able to leave this rock. You will also obtain the first of three key pieces. Now head back to the Dorgenark and try to pick another destination. You will now be able to do the optional planet Alistia. Now you can go there or you can go to the next key piece, but before you go anywhere head to the Galaxy Corperation and buy the Quarry; "The Jungle Master" Now if you want you can take a party of Jaster, Zegram and your choice and head to the End Point teleporter on Juraika, Path to the Ruins. Save at the teleporter, and then use a Cursed Mask at the "Thinking Circle" in the same room and be prepare to face.. OPTIONAL BOSS BATTLE; Beast Leone (Recommended Level 42+) HP; Head: 4,000 Body: 40,000 Drops; 6,000 Exp, 1,782 Zehn, Heavenly Guide Bow, 45,000 Hunter Points This battle is more of a test of endurance more than a test of strength. The first thing you need to do is defeat the core on his head. Use Zegram's Fire Sword since this boss is weak to fire attacks. If you have the Earthbreaker it will badly hurt this boss as well since it can get a 99 fire to its attacks and it produces flames. Jump to attack the core and it shouldn't take too long to destroy. Make sure you heal frequently because this boss can hit rather hard. Once the core is destroyed continue with the Fire Swords and any buffing skills such as Warrior God's Cry, Aromatic Boost or anything else that boosts party strength. Now you are free to swing away at the body. Be careful if he lunges at you, as he can inflict major damage. It will take a while to beat since it had a very high HP total and high defense. Eventually it will fall and you will be able to cash in for a whopping 45,000 Hunter Points. Sweet!!! You may even get to rank 10 with these points. If you were able to beat him, then you are ready to take on one more unfinished quarry. You should now be able to finish "The Cave Bandit" quarry. Head to Vedan and go back into the mines and use a Stella Crystal at the "Thinking Circle" in the large open area past the spot you fought Gale (the tablet pit). Be prepared to face.. OPTIONAL BOSS BATTLE; Paul the Ripper (Recommended Level 42+) HP; 40,000 Drops; 6,000 Exp, 1,684 Zehn, Winter's Chill, 18,000 Hunter Points Now for another fairly hard battle. This guy hits a little harder than the Beast Leone, and instead of a weakness towards Fire, he is weak against Lightning. Unfortunately the Earthshaker has low Lightning affinity, but you should be able to use Flash Sword Lv.3. Start the battle by using Flash Sword Lv.2 0r 3 and use a buffing skill with one of the other characters (I prefer Warrior God's Cry myself). Heal frequently, re-use your buffs when they run out. It will take awhile to beat him with his defense being high but you shouldn't have too much difficulty taking him down. Now cash in and get those Hunter Points. You should be around rank 8-10 by now provided you have finished a few of the quarries and got mos
