Heart to Heart

Phase 1: The truth

Intro

Mina’s Prov…

In a black world of nothing but darkness sat a young man, his silver shoulder length hair blowing in the wind that felt like sadness. He was barely visible because of the cloths he was wearing: a black leather jacket that went down to his ankles and it was open from the bottom to his knees, black pants, black boots that almost went up to his knees, black gloves and oddly enough a black blindfold over his eyes.

Phase 1: The truth

Story

I appeared in front of him wearing the same thing, but with the hood over my head so you couldn’t see my face. I was looking for him though I was angry. “What are you doing here?” I asked showing my anger, but not towards him.

“I always come here… Why are you here?” the young man asked.

“Well, one to find you and two… To ask you a personal question,” I replied with some embarrassment.

“What is it, Mina?” he asked in his laid back tone.

“I’d prefer to ask it some where else,” I replied hoping he would listen.

“Fine, where?” he asked.

“Traverse Town…” I replied.

“Fine…” he said before disappearing.

“This will be tough...” I said before doing the same.

We both appeared atop a building in Traverse Town. I walked over to the edge and sat down so my feet would hang. “Now, what do you want?” he asked as he walked over to my side, but instead of sitting down he just stood next to me.

I brought one of my knees up to my chest and placed my head on my knee. “Did the darkness take away your…Emotion?” I asked with fear that he might get mad.

He didn’t reply he just stood there looking at the dark starry sky.

“Riku…”

“No…It didn’t, I can still feel and show emotion,” he replied still looking into the sky.

“So… How come you never show it?” I asked hoping I didn’t get him infuriated.

“I have no need to,” he replied before vanishing.

“No need…to,” I repeated.

I didn’t bother talking to him, unless he wanted to talk, for at least four days. I was so mad at him, how he replied to my question… It was so mean, did he not know I had feelings for him. We had known each other since he came to the darkness. I helped him…I gave him the Keyblade he has now and still he replies that he doesn’t show any emotion because he doesn’t need to. Doesn’t he at least feel happy that he has a friend? He shows more emotion to darkness then he does to me! It made me so mad! Yet, some how I felt I understood how he felt…Because maybe I felt that way too…

Riku’s Prov…

In a black world of nothing but darkness was where I sat, my silver shoulder length hair blowing in the wind that felt like sadness. Phase 1: The truth

Story

I smiled as darkness again tried to take over my heart. The darkness would never to be able to take control of my heart because of my past. A person obsessed with darkness took over my body and engulfed my heart in darkness. I was able to break free of the darkness but in the process I lost my sight in the light and no darkness could take over my heart. Why I am here may make you wonder, but I am here because the darkness amuses me. The way it tries to take over my heart, the way it fails, it amuses me so much.

She appeared in front of me wearing the same thing, but with the hood over her head so you couldn’t see her face. “What are you doing here?” She asked.

“I always come here… Why are you here?” I asked.

“Well, one to find you and two… To ask you a personal question,” She replied.

I didn’t reply I just stood there looking at the dark starry sky. I didn’t want to reply.

“Riku…”

“No…It didn’t, I can still feel and show emotion,” I finally replied still looking into the sky.

“So… How come you never show it?” She asked.

“I have no need to,” I replied before vanishing.

She didn’t bother talking to me, unless I wanted to talk, for at least four days. I was fine with it too. It wasn’t like I cared how she felt. So what she gave me a Keyblade, big deal. It would have come to me one way or another. But even then there was a moment where I felt sorry for saying what I said. Who cares though…It’s not like she loves me…Hopefully…

Phase 2: No Hope

Intro

Mina’s Prov…

I wandered around Wonder Land because I knew Riku wouldn’t be here. He couldn’t be in a place with lots of light, so I could be free of his non-emotion. Yeah, I was still mad at him and it’s been over a week. But he deserves this…He was being very mean…But maybe I’m being mean too. I guess I’m acting like him…So I decided to go back to the world that only we knew about. But when I got there, I…

Phase 2: No Hope

Story

“Riku!” I yelled as I ran over to him. He was very beaten and bleeding badly. I looked at his wounds. He wouldn’t talk nor move and I started to panic. My potions wouldn’t work and he wasn’t dead, I just didn’t know what to do. I was so scared I missed the reason, the reason why he was so injured. Finally after looking around my mind figured out why he was injured, it was the light. There was a very bright light in the world and to top it off Riku’s blindfold was off. But that still didn’t explain why he had cuts. At the moment I couldn’t worry about that, I had to get Riku out of the light…But where, where was I supposed to go? There wasn’t a single place that didn’t have a lot of light. Where?! After some deep though I decided to take my chances and go to the Deep Jungle. I place my hand on his chest and thought real hard about the Deep Jungle. The next thing I remember was appearing in the Deep Jungle. I had appeared just where I wanted, out of most light.

After a few hours I woke up to see he was awake and bandaged up. I certainly didn’t do that, so who did? “You were a sleep…When you save some one’s life, your expected to take care of there wounds…” he said showing slight anger.

“Well excuse me for saving your life! You’re lucky I did that, after what you said the other day!” I snapped back, I was quite angry.

“I’m sorry…” he said with no emotion; figures.

“Good,” I said getting up; I was going to help him.

“Sorry for meeting you!” he continued, with anger, before vanishing.

“Well I’m sorry I meet you!” I yelled after him. That’s when I felt awesome. I had finally gotten through to him and the best of all was the fact that he left his Keyblade. Wait it’s not his Keyblade it’s mine! I did feel kinda bad though…He was out there with no protection.

            Phase 2: No Hope

Intro

Riku’s Prov…

I sat in the world of darkness watching the darkness as it tried to take my heart once again. This time I was bored out of my mind. Mina was gone and she was still mad, which was starting to make me real mad. She had no point to be mad, now. I was starting to show more emotion around her, but she still didn’t think it was enough. Man, she can be a real pest at times…I was just about to close my eyes when I suddenly saw something.

Phase 2: No Hope

Story

It was very small and round. Though it was bright it was so small it didn’t really make a difference to my eyes. So instead of being smart and putting on my blindfold, I walked over to it and examined it. Stupid huh, suddenly the stupid thing became bigger engulfing the world in light. I yelled and put my hands over my eyes. It was too much, the pain increased as the hole grow. Then to make matters worse some thing decided it was the best time to attack. The next thing I knew Mina was trying to teleport me to a different place. She does still care for me. After that I was out, dead to the world and everything around me.

I woke up some time later to see Mina was sleeping and I was still injured. Why didn’t she heal me? Did she run out of potions? I ignored that fact and started bandaging myself. A few minuets after I was done she woke up. Not the perfect time for argument, think again.

“You were asleep…When you save some one’s life, your expected to take care of their wounds…” I said showing slight anger.

“Well excuse me for saving your life! You’re lucky I did that, after what you said the other day!” She snapped back, she was quite angry.

“I’m sorry…” I said with no emotion.

“Good,” She said getting up.

“Sorry for meeting you!” I continued, with anger, before vanishing. That was the last time I planed on talking or seeing her. That was when I made the biggest mistake of my life. I had left my Keyblade there…With her. I left it because I felt guilty; I just wanted every thing to end. At that moment, even my life. I was sorry I met her; real sorry to tell the truth because if she didn’t meet me she wouldn’t be so miserable.  It was my fault and my fault alone. At that I decided it was time to visit an old friend.

Phase 3: Survive

Intro

Mina’s Prov…

I grabbed my Keyblade and planed on leaving to Traverse Town. This was awesome! I was finally alone and on my own. But, for some reason…I didn’t feel as happy as I let on…I was scared…For Riku. He was out there on his own. With no Keyblade and worse was that he couldn’t see in the light…Would he survive? What am I saying?! He’s the one that left! It’s not my fault if he dies! Is it? No…It isn’t… I had to go some where, any where… So, I decided to go visit my old friend, Kairi.

Phase 3: Survive

Story

I appeared on the beautiful Destiny Islands, it hadn’t changed a bit. Now, to find Kairi and knowing her, she was in the Secret Place. I walked over to the Secret Place and sure enough she was there. “Kairi, hey,” I said as I ran over to her.

“Wow, Mina. It’s been too long,” she said as we hugged.

“No kidding…But I came here because I need your advice…” I said looking at here with no hope.

“What wrong?” she asked.

At that we sat down and I told her everything that happened over the last few days.

        “That’s a tough one…” she said when I finished.

“That’s why I came to you…” I said.

“Hmmm…I think you should give him another chance. Although he can really get on your nerves, Riku isn’t that bad of a person…He had to have some reason to leave…Maybe he was afraid?” she said.

“My Riku-” I cut myself off and held my hands to my mouth. What had I just said? Did I really say ‘my Riku’?

“I see…But you’re probably right. He’s probably not afraid…” she said making circles in the dirt.

“I didn’t mean to…I’m sorry, I know he’s yours…I wasn’t thinking, I’m soooo sorry…” I said as I took my hands away from my mouth.

“He’s not mine…He never came back after I told him, so I gave up…Plus, now my heart belongs to Sora…I love him now, not Riku,” she said as she stopped making circles and started to draw Sora.

“You always were a good artist,” I said as I looked at her draw.

She laughed and looked at me. “You never change. Good, don’t change. Promise?” she said as she got up and offered a hand.

“Promise,” I said as I took her offer and pulled myself up, but before I could Kairi took her hand away and I fell to my butt.

“Kairi!” I said in anger.

“I’m sorry…It’s just…Never mind,” she said as she held her hand as if it hurt.

I got myself up, but I was confused. Why did she do that?

We were outside on the beach and Kairi seemed to be back to normal.

“Well, see ya. Next time I promise to stay longer,” I said as I waved and then vanished.

Phase 3: Survive

Intro

Riku’s Prov…

I appeared in some world. I didn’t know where and I didn’t care, the only thing I was looking for was a world with darkness and that’s what I got. I took a few steps before my legs gave out and I fell to the ground. I was breathing hard and I felt really bad. I was amazed at how much energy it took to teleport to a world. When I’m going on full health I didn’t even notice the energy it took, but at the moment my wounds were weakening me.

I cursed as I throw a fist down. Then some thing moved in the shadows. “Who’s there?” I asked into the darkness.

Phase 3: Survive

Story

“You look like a little baby, crying like that,” a deep male voice said.

“I’m not crying!” I snapped back.

“Not to the eye, but to the soul, your winning like a baby wanting to be fed,” the male voice said as Riku felt it come closer.

“What do you know…” Riku said as he closed his eyes and concentrated.

“I know that you long for strength. I also know you want to impress someone with this strength,” The male voice said as it again got closer.

“Shut up…You know nothing…” Riku said in anger.

“I can give you this strength…The power you long for. I can give it to you right now,” the male voice said as black boots appeared in front of Riku’s face. Riku’s eyes widened when the man told him that.

“How, can you really?” Riku asked with eagerness.

“Yes, just give me your hand,” the male voice said.

Riku was about to accept when a memory raced through his mind.

It wasn’t that long ago, maybe a year or so.  Mina and I were sitting in our world looking at the darkened sky.

“Riku…” she said still looking at the sky.

“What?” I asked as I looked at her.

“ Promise…Promise never to accept strength,” she said as she looked at me.

I looked at her in confusion.

She laughed a little and looked into the sky. “You’ll know what I mean when the time comes,”

My hand was almost in the man’s. I took my hand away. I understand…I finally understand…

“You were so close. Let’s try again,” the male voice said again.

“I have all the strength I need…” I replied as I got up. “And thanks to my friends, all the sanity I need,”

“Is that a smart remark? Well, if you don’t want strength, it’s your problem,” the man said.

I glared at him and vanished to a new world.
