Never forgotten…
A tribute to Tidus & Yuna
Disclaimer: Disclaimer: All of the characters used in this story are the sole property of the Squaresoft Company. Let’s just say I’m “borrowing” them for a while.
This is my first real attempt at a work of fiction based on an RPG, so hopefully it goes well. The original game that I based this story on was Final Fantasy X, so bare with me. Also to make things more different from the game I added a few Characters. Oh and don’t get mad if say Yuna falls for another guy before she helps Tidus, just a thought. It’s not like it would really happen.
A young summoner, Yuna, stood on the sandy shore. She was looking at a grave. It had no body or soul, but it was for someone who died; someone close to her. She knelt down next to it. It had a tomb stone that had Tidus engraved in it. Most people would cry at the sight of a tomb or grave of a person close to them, but she held her head up high. She wouldn’t let his death get her. Suddenly a young Al Bheding girl, Rikku, ran up to her.
“Yunie, I found something. It’s about Tidus…” she said as she reaches the summoner. “I found it at the Moonflow. The sphere has something about Tidus on it,” Rikku said. A black mage, Lulu, and a retired Blitzball player and coach, Wakka, run up to them after Rikku said that.
“Rikku, did you tell her?” Lulu demanded to know.
“I did! She needed to know…” Rikku answered.
“Why? Wakka and I told you not to,” Lulu stated.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, I said nut’en. You just assumed I was on your side,” Wakka responds.
“I told her because she loved Tidus and deserved to know,” Rikku replied.
“What is going on?” Yuna cut in. She wanted to know what Lulu and Wakka were trying to hide.
“Rikku found a sphere with Tidus on it…” Lulu confessed.
“So why were you two trying to hide it?” Yuna asked.
“We thought you’d be a little upset, ya know…” Wakka confessed.
“Well I am upset, but not because of the sphere with Tidus on it, but because you didn’t tell me,” Yuna says as Rikku hands her the sphere.
“Sorry…” Lulu and Wakka both say.
Yuna accepted the apology and then looked at the sphere. ‘Do I really want to do this? Do I really want to reawaken Tidus? By watching this I will see Tidus, which will make me want to find him. Then he will be alive…Again…’ Yuna thought before she turned on the sphere.
Tidus appeared on the sphere. He seemed panicked and in trouble, he also seemed to be running. “Yuna or who ever are watching this listen to me…This may be my last chance…And we may die, but please listen…” Tidus said, kinda breathless. “It’s about Seymour…He’s still alive and he’s even stronger…I can’t beat him…You have to tell some one…Get a strong group together…Then” It cut of as Tidus fell.
“Is there more?” Rikku asked
“I’m afraid not…” Yuna replied.
“So then where are we supposed to go?” Rikku asked.
“I don’t know…Let’s just leave it alone,” Yuna said as she started to walk back to Besaid.
And that’s what she did; she left it alone for the next five days until a villager gave her a sphere.
“Lady Yuna, some one gave this to me to give to you,” the villager said handing her a sphere.
“What’s this?” Yuna asked when she got it.
“I was told not to look at it, Lady Yuna,” the villager said before walking
away.
“Wait, who gave it to you?” she yelled after the villager, but it was to late
the villager was gone.
“I wonder…” she said looking back at the sphere. She turned it on and watched.
Tidus, again, appeared on the sphere. He looked more relaxed, but still tense. “Yuna…I’m sorry about the last sphere. They caught me and deleted some of the info…I can only do this one more time, so I can’t let them get this… As I was saying, get a strong party and then go to were Home once was… I hope to see you there…” Tidus said right before a person came into the background. The sphere then cut off.
“No, Tidus!” Yuna screamed at the sphere. She then remembered he couldn’t see her and that this was taken a while ago.
“What do I do now? Lulu and Wakka are out sphere hunting… Rikku and Kimahri are at the new Home… And there are no longer any strong Villagers…” She said setting the sphere down on a table. “I’ll have to go on my own… Tidus will be there so I’ll be fine…Now how to get there?” she said walking out of her home and walking down to the shore. She looked at were the water meet with the shore. A ship that looked like the Tiny Bronco (FF7…Love that ship!) was parked there. “I wonder…Was some one else involved with Tidus?” she said as she walked over to the ship.
“For you, Lady Yuna,” said a cat like figure as it bowed in front of her. It was a white child size cat. It wore an old peasant suit and had a brown star on its right eye. From the sound of the voice it was a female.
“Who are you?” Yuna asked in shock.
The Cat didn’t answer; instead it did a back flip and disappeared.
She sighed, for some reason nobody planed to explain any thing to her. “I guess I’ll use it then…” she said as she got into the ship.
For three days she rode over to the Bikanel Island. It also took her two hours to get to the old Home. When she got there she gasped and her eyes widened.
