Chapter one
The Portal
This stars filled the night sky like fireflies the moon emitting its luminous light over the calm ocean.
A large shape moved across the water not creating a single ripple, the Balamb Garden silently hovered across the sea emitting its own light.
A soft humming coming from the Garden is the only source of sound.
Rinoa and Squall stared out at the at the ocean stretching out to the horizon, Rinoa gave Squall one small kiss and went back inside. Squall stood there for a moment then followed her back inside.

“Zell! Your up early.” The cafeteria was empty except for Zell and Selphie just came in.
“Yeah well, can’t sleep.” Zell replied munching on some hotdogs.
“You’ve been awake all night?” Selphie said a little surprised.
“Of course not.” Zell snapped, “I just woke up early.”
“Is it because of yesterday?” Selphie ask cautiously. Zell put his hotdog down and closed his eyes, Selphie know what it was. It had been haunting her in her dreams too the screams, the cries and the last word of Ultimecia just as she died. That’s when Irvine burst in.
“Hey! You’re both up!” Irvine said in his usual happy self, arms outstretched. He stopped and drooped his shoulders as soon as he saw Zell and Selphie unusually quiet.
“What’s wrong you guys?” He said pulling out a chair and flinging his leg over it and leaned forward on the headrest. Still no one spoke.
“Oh, I see,” Irvine said folding his arms and leaning back, “It’s the morning bug is it?” he said obviously not getting the point. Selphie finally looked up and shook her head slowly. “Cant you believe its only yesterday that it happened.”
“Oh so that’s what it is.” Irvine said finally catching on. “Chill out guys, she dead there’s nothing to worry about.”
“Yeah, I guess your right Irvine.” Zell said continuing eating his hot dog.
‘I hope your right Irvine,’ Selphie add silently ‘I hope your right.’

Six months have passed now and a lot has happened, Rinoa and Irvine are fully officially SeeDs and there are new people joining the Garden. The Car park that is now use less to cars has been rebuilt into a launch pad and landing site fit for large airships like the Legendary Ragnarok. Squall is the General for the Garden helping Cid doing some work and Quistis is now a resigned Instructor but still a seed.
"Quistis Treppe, please report to the Headmaster's office at once," Xu's magnified voice echoed through the Garden.
What now? Quistis thought, standing up from her desk. She stretched her arms out in front of her and closed her sapphire eyes, sighing. Neatening up her desk, the renewed instructor left the classroom.
After the elevator reached the top floor with a short *ding*, Quistis knocked twice on the giant oak doors before going in. The room what used to be Cid’s room now has the cockpit for the Garden but Cid still works here just has a desk and some seats. A large pillar extended above is where the controls for the Garden are.
"Quistis, thank you for coming so quickly. Please, have a seat."
“What is it headmaster?” Quistis asked politely
“I’ve called you because I have a mission for you team.” Cid said sitting down
“My team?” She answered confusingly, and then she thought for a moment. “Oh, you mean Squall, Zell, Selphie, Irvine and Rinoa?”
“Yes,”
“Shouldn’t you call Squall, he is our leader after all.”
“Yes, yes I know.” Cid said impatiently “he’s getting the others now.” As if right on queue the doors open and five of them came in.
“Sorry I’m late headmaster,” Squall said hastily “it took me a while to find them all.”
“That’s quite aright, Squall,” Cid said “Please all of you sit down.”
All of them sat down, Squall of course next to Rinoa but Quistis keeping a distance from her. Fortunately no one noticed.
“Now, I know all of you are tired from all that is happening, new comers, supporting but I have something I want you all to do.” Cid said getting up and pacing around.
“Take the Ragnarok and fly near the Island Closest to Hell, but I don’t want you to land there!” He added quickly as soon as he saw their faces. “There is a large whirl pool that’s strangely producing some sort of matrix.”
“Wait a minute,” Zell interrupted, “Are you sending your best team out just to look at a electromagnetic whirl pool?”
“Its not as simple as that Zell.” Cid said rather disappointed, “It wasn’t there before.” “Why us? Squall demand, “Why can’t you send some of your people who are specialist for this kind of stuff?”
“That’s the thing, I did,” Cid said worryingly, “They never came back.”
There was silence.
“Are you saying they just disappeared?” Rinoa asked.
“Yes.”
“Whoa whoa, time out,” Irvine said cutting in, “Who did you send?”
“Shelia and Liam,” Cid replied, “There’re both very good computer specialist and top scientist in the garden.”
“So are you also risking us to look for them?” Quistis said.
“I trust you all,” Cid said proudly, “you are a great team, if you could travel in time and come back in one piece I’m sure that a mysterious whirl pool should be no problem.”
“So we’re actually doing this?” Selphie piped in.
Cid nodded “I want you all to leave tomorrow morning, take the Ragnarok and study the Whirl pool,” Cid instructed, “and try and look for Shelia and Liam.”
“I hope you know what your doing Cid.” Squall said getting up.
They all got up and left leaving Cid thinking. ‘Good luck to you all’ he whispered ‘come back alive.’
***
It was still dark, the stars and the moon where the only source of light. A figure stood there at the edge of a cliff just east of the island closest to Hell, his ruined white trench coat billowed slightly against the wind.
The sea breeze whipped through his blond hair messing it up a bit, he narrowed his dark green eyes maliciously. Seifer Almasy stood there hating the world. His faithful Gunblade rested at his side. A month a go he left is comrades Raijin and Fujin behind not wanting to face them any more after what he did to them.
Dawn was near but he hated the sunrises, so he turned around and walked away wishing he would just disappear, he walk silently though the forest for a while, but then he was stopped short. A large shadow loomed over him, blue and red scale covered the shape as it was breathing heavily while staring at Seifer, it was a T-Rexaur.
“Oh shi-” but his words were cut short by a monstrous mind-boggling roar. The dinosaur reared up even more and lunged at Seifer. Normally Seifer would have his Hyperion out ready for anything, but now Seifer was exhausted. He wouldn’t be able to dodge continually let alone strike the beast, if he concentrated any magic he would surely pass out. He was brave but not stupid, so he turned and run.
The creature roared even loudly and ran after him, Seifer ran back where he was going and tried to think how he was going to get rid of the beast. Beams of gold light shot through the trees as Seifer stopped just in time almost falling of the edge of the cliff. Tiny chunks of rocks crumble away falling down off the cliff when Seifer staggered to a halt. Dead end.
Seifer turned around just in time to see a massive muscular tail slam into him sending him flying backwards off the cliff, he was flying for a moment but then as gravity turned against him he started to fall towards the water. Towards the deep blue sea.

“Zell! Close your mouth when you yawn.” Quistis snapped looking down on Zell who was sitting in the weapon control seat.
“Yes mother.” Zell replied sarcastically.
“Don’t start Zell.”
“Hey knock it off you two.” Squall ordered looking over his shoulder, then turning back to the cockpit where Irvine and Selphie was in. “Any sign of it?”
“Nope not yet,” Irvine replied looking at the radar. “Oh wait, here it is.”
“Wow, look at the pulsars it’s giving out,” Zell said surprising Squall for a minute, “The radar’s going haywire.”
“There! I see it.” Rinoa cried pointing out the window. All of them scrambled to her trying to get a good view almost crushing her.
The whirlpool was massive about ten meters in diameter. It seems to revolving very fast and crackling with electricity.
“Selphie, circle around it and don’t get too close,” Squall told Selphie “We’re not going near it until we know what pulsars its giving out.”
They circled it about four times until Quistis read the info.
“According to this computer the whirlpool is not natural to be here, there’s no currents to create it,” Quistis read slightly put off by Zell and Irvine peering over her shoulders. “There’s something else creating it, the electromagnetic fields it’s creating are disappearing inside it almost like a black hole.”
“You mean a blue hole.” Irvine said sniggering.
“So what is it?”
“I think the pulsars it’s giving out are very powerful, it could shut down a whole city.”
“So shouldn’t we like, stay away from it?” Rinoa asked.
“Yeah we should,” Squall agreeing “Selphie take us back a hundred feet.”
“Roger that.”
“Guys I’m only guessing, but I think this whirlpool is a por-” But Quistis words where cut short by a violent jerk the Ragnarok was thrown off course. The lights of the ship flickered for a moment then died out.
“Er Selphie…what happen?” Zell squeaked breaking the silence.
“Um… the power went out.” Selphie replied less squeaky then Zell.
“Uh oh.”
The Ragnarok shot down like a slow moving bullet but still in tremendous speed, the ship hurled towards the whirlpool. All the SeeDs can’t do anything but scream as they slam into the water diving down into the pools mysterious depths.
***
“Urrgghhhh…” Seifer groaned lying on the shore, he didn’t know how he got there but he didn’t care. His head hurts like hell, but he kept his eyes tightly shut but that didn’t stop his hearing.
“Hey Blizzy, I think he’s waking up,” he heard a female voice on his left, and then heard the sound of someone walking on the sand approaching him to his right.
“How do you know Amber?” another voice, also female.
“I heard him groan and his eyes are twitching,” the other person replied. “It’s a good sign then him just laying there.”
A small hollow laugh came from the other one, “I bet he’s awake Amber. He’s just laying there like a moron would.”
“Hello? Are you awake?” A loud whisper was shouted in his ear.
Seifer snapped open his eyes and shot straight into a sitting position, having been lying on his back. He didn't allow his gaze to remain on any thing, taking in the scenery, lighting, and other things of interest. Then, he spoke -- demanded, actually. "Where the hell am I?"
The person in his immediate line of vision, a young girl to his left about his age or younger, she was wearing a bright orange wool shirt, black skirt and a black robe. She had shoulder length Auburn hair and her bright blue eyes blinked in surprise. She was sitting beside him but wasn’t expecting him to sit up so quickly.
The second girl to his right was knelling beside him was looking at him curiously.
She was pretty, about Seifer’s age or younger; she had wavy medium light golden brown hair that looks gold in the sun. She was wearing a white laced up shirt, a long black skirt that reached her ankles, a foot long slit at the bottom left side of her skirt revealing a bit of her knee length leather boots, she also hade a dark green cape. But what was more attractive was her bright emerald green eyes giving her appearance a mysterious look.
"Quick questioner, aren't you?" The girl to his right said studying him intently with her shimmering green eyes.
Seifer narrowed his own dark green eyes.
"Who the hell are you?" he demanded angrily, starting to get to his feet. “Where am I? How did I get here? Why am I here?”
The girl who spoke to him first grabbed his arm and dragged him back down.
"Stop with the attitude," she ordered, "or you'll never get answers."
“Yeah, you need to rest." The other girl added.
Seifer glared at them dangerously and violently shook his arm away from her grasp.
The girl backed up a bit knowing he doesn’t like being touched.
“Well, regarding your first question my name’s Blizzy,” The girl answered flicking a strand of blond hair away from her eyes, “and that is Amber.” Pointing to the red head.
“For your second question is you are in Crystal bay near the town of Calimar,” Blizzy continued “Your third is I don’t know how you got hear but by the looks of you’re appearance you swam here, and your fourth is I have absolutely no idea why you are here.”
She said it all flawlessly, Seifer glared at her in surprise. (She had a bit of an attitude for pretty girl like her.) Seifer thought.
“What is your name?” Amber asks politely.
“None of you business.” He snapped.
“Hey! She just wants your name you jackass.” Blizzy snapped more than him, “Your alive because of us, if we haven’t swam you ashore you would have been food for the fishes!”
Seifer looked down he didn’t like being told off by a girl but he was too tired to argue.
“How long have I’ve been out?” he demanded
“Urrgh! More questions.” Blizzy said crossing her arms.
“You’ve been out for an hour after we dragged you ashore.” Amber giggled “Now can we have you name?”
“Seifer, Seifer Almasy.”
“Good, now we’ve got that done, We’ll lead you back to Calimar to wash up,” Blizzy said getting up and brushing sand off her skirt, “You smell like seaweed.”
***
Sparks flew in every direction the ship was badly damage, it crash-landed in the woods by the looks of it. Squall heaved a heavy piece of metal that was almost crushing him. The Cockpit was a mess; he quickly got up and swiftly look in the rubble for his loyal friends, fire were erupting from nowhere. If he don’t get out of there soon he’ll be cooked, literally. He placed a finger on his head and concentrated.
“Water.” He whispered, he stretched his palm out and bubbles of water splashed around extinguishing some flames, it wasn’t enough to put out the infernal wreckage but enough to get out.
A huge sigh of relief as he saw his comrades outside trying to put out the fire, Rinoa came running up to him and gave him a huge hug.
“Oh Squall! I thought you were…I though you where…”
“Its okay I’m fine.” Squall said calmly embracing her. Still holding on to her he peered over her head and saw Quistis and Irvine putting out the flames, Selphie was passed out near Zell who was also keeping an eye on her, Irvine was continuing casting Water spells; Quistis was using her Limit Break Water Breath.
Squall walked up to Zell where Selphie was laying.
“ Squall! Your alright,” Zell said voice a little higher than usual. “We tried to look for you but…”
“Zell its okay,” Squall said “How’s Selphie?”
“She’s passed out but she’ll be fine.”
“Zell we need you to help put out the flames.” Squall insists.
“Right.” Zell got up and walked to where Irvine and Quistis are. He placed a finger on his forehead and mutter the word Tsunami. He shot his right arm forward supported by his left hand and as that happen, a whirlwind of light appeared above him, a watery shaped slithered gracefully out of the light before it materialized into the powerful sea serpent: Leviathan. It reared up and roared before flying towards the sky a mountain following it up towards the heavens, it stopped in mid air and powered up. With a huge splash it burst into gushes of water sliding down the mountain like a waterfall. It reached the ship and extinguishes all of the flames without damaging the ship.
“Good job Zell.” Quistis said patting him on the back.
All six of them sat there for a moment without saying anything, too exsuaghsted to speak.
They built a camp not so far from the Ragnarok; they made a bomb fire and collected fruits to eat. They all sat in a circle silently.
“I explored the place a bit,” Selphie said already awake “I’ve never seen this place before.”
“Yeah and my satellite watch is not working.” Zell complained.
“I’ve never seen this place too.” Rinoa said quietly.”
Squall was thinking to himself, He and his squad have been all over the world, and forests, even Battle ship Island, but disappointed when it was empty.
How can they be all of a sudden in a place they’ve never been to? Studying a stupid whirlpool and looking for Shelia and Liam…that’s when it accrued to him.
“Quistis!” he said standing up “what were you about to say before we crashed?”
“What?”
“You know about the Whirlpool.”
“Oh yeah, um I’m not sure but I’m guessing,” Quistis said trying to remember, “The pool was giving of pulsars which are very rare and matter is just disappearing inside. If we put all of that together it came only be one thing.”
“What?” All five of them said at the same time.
“The whirl pool could be a portal,” Quistis whispered. “To another dimension.”
***
The town was very peaceful people walking down the path socializing with friends, kids playing on the streets. It’s a nice place; the buildings are not that big the main large ones are only three stories.
Seifer followed Blizzy and Amber but keeping a distance, he just wanted to fall into a deep slumber.
“Here we are.” Blizzy and Amber stopped in front of a large house.
Seifer stared at the house and looked at Blizzy.
“Am I really staying with you?” Seifer groaned
“You are welcome to sleep in the streets.”
“I rather do that then stay with you.” Seifer said suppressing a yawn.
“Quit complaining I’m hungry.” Amber protested heading towards the house.
Seifer followed them shoulders slouched and he went inside. The house was big and neat, two stories high.
“Follow me.” Blizzy called Seifer and leaped up the stairs.
“What kind of name is Blizzy?” Seifer grumble.
“What kind of name is Se-i-fer.” She retorted.
“It’s a name.”
Blizzy laughed and continued bounding up the stair to the hallway, she stopped as soon she reached a room.
“This is the spare room, you can stay here.” She explained “There’s a bathroom in there and I’ll get you some new clothes.”
“How about those three rooms?” Seifer said pointing down the hallway.
“One of its mine one is Ambers and the other one is Orion’s, Ambers brother.”
“Right,” Seifer mumbled walking passed Blizzy into the room. He was only looking for one thing: the bed. As soon as he found it he collapsed on it face first and refuse to get up. Blizzy smiled and closed the door.
***
The morning was cool, the SeeDs slept peacefully around the camp. The fire was out only the remains of embers flickering.
All of them woke up at different time but a soon they were all up they walk in a group away from the crash site.
“So where are we heading?” Irvine said yawning
“To the nearest town,” Squall said who was in front, “We could look for some parts to repair the ship.”
“But the ship is beyond repair,” Zell protested “it would take weeks even months.”
“You have a better plan?”
“Well…”
“How about we buy a new ship,” Selphie said almost jumping up and down.
“If they have one,” Quistis pointed out “We could have gone back in time for all we know.”
“Please, no time travel please!” Zell plead.
It didn’t take long to find a town they stopped buy a shop to buy some supplies and tied to look for a decent place to eat.
“I spoke to this guy and this town is called Denali.” Rinoa said catching up to them.
“Whoa I’ve never heard of it.” Irvine said
“Lets get something to eat…” Zell cried as his stomach rumbled.
“Okay look, we’ll try and get a phone to contact Cid, then we find some directions to the any city.” Squall said, “We could try and buy a ship”
“But first lets eat.” Zell said running to a restaurant.

Chapter two
The New Enchantment
Seifer woke in bed hoping it was all a dream, but it wasn’t. He got up and took a quick shower, and then by the time he finishes he found some garments on the bed. After he put them on he glared at the mirror. He was wearing a white shirt with a dragon logo on it, black pants, combat boots and a long black trench coat.
He slid on his black leather gloves and went downstairs.
When he reached the bottom he saw Amber and a guy standing next to her, they where both arguing.
“Amber! Who is that guy,” The young man said, “I walked in the spare room and saw him just sleeping there.”
“I told you Blizzy and I found him in not so far from the shore,” Amber explained, “he could have drowned.”
“What was he doing there in the first place?”
“I don’t know.”
“What have I told you about bringing strangers in our house!” He pointed out waving a hand.
“You didn’t say that I did!” She replied poking a finger on his chest.
“Oh yeah.”
They both stopped as soon as they saw Seifer.
“Who the hell are you?” he demanded.
“Me name’s Orion.” He said holding out a hand.
Seifer refused the handshake; he was looking at him, studying him.
Orion had Golden orange hair like his sister and he had dark blue eyes; he looked about Seifer’s age.
He was wearing cream baggy cargo pants and a dark blue shirt that brings out the colours in his eyes.
He had a warm facing and was smiling kindly, Blizzy just came in.
“Well, I see you have all met.” She said
“Hey that’s my coat.” Orion said pointing a Seifer.
“Oh let him have it,” Blizzy declare. “Come on are you hungry?”
Seifer felling a bit hungry hadn’t had anything decent for a week followed.
Seifer and Blizzy went outside leaving Amber and Orion behind took off to the streets.
“What is this place?” he asked.
“I thought I already told you we’re in Calimar.”
After he ate Blizzy showed him around the town, it was a good place to stay and get a way from anything else.
“Why are being so nice to me?” He asked all of a sudden.
“We’re nice people.” She answered
“Got any parents?”
“I’m an orphan,”
“Hey, so am I.”
“You find this subject interesting,” Blizzy asked stopping.
“Fine I’ll shut up.”
They both walked around town for a while till Seifer remembered something.
“Do you have my Gunblade?”
“No you didn’t have any.”
Nuts, Seifer thought.
“So you’re a fighter,” Blizzy asked “There’s a weapon shop just over there.”
They both went in the shop, the door opened with a ding. Weapons hung everywhere on the walls, gleaming swords, shiny guns, polished spears and glistering staffs all different varieties of weapons. The clerk came in.
“Ah Blizzy! Here to remodel your staff?” he asked
“No thanks Pete just here with a guest.”
“What type of weapon to you prefer sir?” he asks walking up to him.
Seifer walked around exploring the different weapons, he really misses his Hyperion, but it’s gone now.
“Gunblade.”
“Ah a very excellent chose sir,” Pete said rubbing his hands, “A very powerful weapon, it takes experience to master.”
“I can manage.” Seifer mumbled.
“Very well, follow me.”
He led both of them to a different room; it was filled with swords and gunblades.
Seifer walked around looking for something he’ll like. He stopped at a nasty looking one. He picked it up.
The blade itself was a meter long or longer; it is the colour of metallic chrome. At both side of the blade near the barrel it had an engraved picture of a large wolf with wings, it stood there, head back as if it was howling. The handle, which is the gun bit, was a revolver; the chamber was fit for six large bullets 6cm long. Just at the end of the handle it had a small short chain with a miniature green crystal hanging there. The grip of the gunblade was perfect for him, almost similar to his Hyperion. Seifer waved it around testing its durability, it shined in every angle. It made a low chiming sound as he slowly waved it about.
“I see you like the SpiritWolf,” Pete said walking up to him. “A very powerful enchanted weapon.”
Pete walked to the counter and pulled out a miniature metal case, he opened it a showed it to Seifer. There were eighteen small crystal bullets each 6cm long. Each three bullets had a different colour.
“All of these bullets are charmed,” Then he pointed to each three bullets, “These three red ones are fire bullets, the aqua ones are water, the yellow ones are electric, the blue ones are ice, the clear ones are non-elemental and the black ones are dark.”
Seifer pulled out one each and loaded it in the gun chamber.
As soon as he switched the safety latch off the blade burst into a glowing green colour, the green crystal that hanged on the chain was glowing blindly too.
“Wow…” Seifer whispered as the blade was glowing stunningly in his eyes.
“Do you want to test it sir?” Pete asks politely.
Seifer nodded.
Pete led Seifer and Blizzy to the back where lots of test obstacles for weapons are. Seifer walked behind him still looking at the glowing blade that was humming lightly.
Seifer saw a large boulder he clicked in the ice bullet, and then he charged at it immediately pulling the trigger as soon as he stuck it. Blue ice casing covered the rock like an ice cube before it spilt clean in half.
“I’ll take it!” Seifer said half yelling, his Hyperion is nothing compare to this.
Pete nodded and went in side. He stopped ant the counter and typed on the cash register.
“The SpiritWolf, the bullets are all add up too…” Pete said reading the screen, “Twelve gold coins and sixteen silver pieces please.”
Seifer stared at him, then looked down at his pouch bag filled with Gils.
“What?”
“What do you mean what?” Blizzy said walking up to him and took the bag. “Um Seifer we don’t us Gils any more we use Platinum coins, Gold coins, silver pieces and bronzes.
“Eh?”
“Are you telling me you don’t have any money!?” Blizzy yelled
Seifer nodded.
“Fine I’ll pay for it!” Blizzy reached into her pocket and pulled out a small pouch, she counted twelve gold coins and sixteen silver pieces.
“You owe me big Seifer.” She said giving him the money. Seifer studied the coins curiously; the gold ones had a picture of a phoenix emblazed on it, the silver had a unicorn on it. Both of them pure gold and silver.
He gave it to Pete and he put it in the cash register and gave Seifer his new weapon.
“I can chuck in a belt holster for free,” Pete said taking it out “Because you are a friend of Blizzy’s.”
“Cool.”
Seifer and Blizzy walked out of the store and stopped, Seifer still holding on to the blade switch the safety latch on and gently slid it in his black leather holster.
“Thanks Blizzy.” He said
“Don’t expect me to do it again,” She said crossing her arms, “That gunblade isn’t cheep.”
Before she finished her last word a blood-curling scream came from down the street, knowing it was trouble Blizzy turned and ran after it. Seifer pulled out his new weapon brandishing it before running after her ready for battle.

Zell stared at the waitress in confusion.
“Pardon? How much was it?” he asked
“Um Ten silver pieces and twenty four Bronzes.”
All the SeeDs stared at her.
“You don’t take Gils?” Quistis asked her
“Sorry ma’am not any more.”
“Er we don’t have any of that stuff,” Squall said looking at his SeeD card that was his salary. “Only Gils.”
“Well, there is a bank down the street,” the waitress said, “You can exchange money there.”
“Okay, give me all of your cards,” Squall said getting up “Quistis, Zell come with me, Rinoa, Selphie and Irvine stay here. We’ll be back.”
Squall took off for the bank with Quistis and Zell following.
They both stopped in front of the bank, Squall was counting the cards.
“Quistis, you can keep your in case we need it.”
“Okay.”
Three of them went inside. It didn’t take long till they got up the front.
“Um can you change theses…um Salary cards to whatever card you have?” Squall said putting down the cards.
“Yes sir, we have platinum cards, gold cards and silver cards.” The banker answered
“We’ll take the Platinum Cards.”
“Very well, pleases wait a moment.” He went in side to do the exchange.
“Hey look I found this broacher,” Zell said holding it in front of Squall’s face. He took and read to them.
“The highest money is Platinum coins, then there are Gold coins thirteen Gold coins to a Platinum, seventeen silver piece for a Gold and twenty Bronzes to a silver.”
“Well that’s confusing.” Quistis said taking the brochure from Squall.
“Here you go sir your Platinum cards.” The banker came back with the cards. “Your salary will be transported to this card and its already exchange to our money.”
The SeeDs walked out with their new cards, they paid for the food and went off.
“These new cards are pretty cool.” Rinoa said holding hers up.
“Yeah I draw out some money in case we need something,” Selphie held up some coins proudly, “Look at them there so cool.”
They all looked a them. The Platinum coins are the colour of brilliant gold and silver with a picture of a dragon emblazed on it, the gold had a phoenix emblazed on it. The silver had a unicorn and the bronzes had a griffin.
They ordered a hotel and wondered around. They’ll stay there for a night the head off the big city Octerma. They’ll be able to find out what’s going on.
“I got this world map off someone,” Irvine said pulling it out, “its really good.”
They all peered at it. They’ll have to pass through the town of Gambernot to get to Octerma. It was two-day trip.
“Hey lets go back to the ship and recover some stuff.” Squall said running off.
They reached to forest where they crashed. The Ragnarok was a mess but still good enough to enter. They all recovered some stuff they might need for the journey.
“Okay now we need to get information.” Squall said leading back to Denali.
As soon as they reached town again they split up to two groups. Squall, Rinoa
and Zell and Quistis Selphie and Irvine another. Squall’s group went off
to look for a phone.
“Guys do you know what GFs everyone have?” Squall asks
“Well you have Quezacotl and Alexander, Rinoa has Shiva and Siren,” Zell answered, “I have Ifrit and Leviathan, Quistis has Carbuncle and Diablos, Selphie has Tonbery and Doomtrain and Irvine has The Brothers and Qatuar.”
“How about the other GFs I thought there were more.” Rinoa asked
“We tried to look for Cerberus but he weren’t there, Bahamut wasn’t there as well and I am not, I repeat NOT going back to look for Eden.” Zell explained.
“Oh yeah.” Squall said with a small smile.
“Well there’s a phone.” Rinoa pointed it was next to a bridge. So they went.
***
Seifer ran after Blizzy who was way faster than him.
People where running from something, he tried to catch up to Blizzy put was pushed back a bit by panicked people.
When he finally reached Blizzy he stopped and stepped back realizing what was everyone was running from.
“Wa…wa…what is that!” he yelled.
Seifer has fought many monsters in his time but never in his life has he ever seen this fiend. The monster was HUGE; it stood firmly on four legs its black scales covered its body like armour, its thick long spiked tail lashed about, and what was more terrifying is that it has not one not two but FIVE snake like heads. Their monstrous jaws snapped as it continued advancing towards them.
“You don’t know what it is!” Blizzy said pulling out her staff. “It’s a Hydra, non-elemental.”
“Okay,” Seifer said loading his new gunblade “Lets see what this baby can do.”
“Are you nuts!” Blizzy said, “you can’t attack it front on, it’ll attack you from behind.”
“Got a better plan?”
“Yes, use summons.”
“Fine.”
With that Seifer held out a hand and muttered the word Mega flare. The clouds whirled around and turned purple. A shadow flew inside; it reared up and dived back down again.
Electricity flew from the clouds as a huge dark blue dragon blast out from the haze; it powered up energy from its mouth and fired! Four masses of energy smashes into the enemy. Bahamut roared and powered up for one last blast, as if slow motion he fired the last beam demolishing anything in its path ending with a giant explosion.
Seifer smirked as the smoked cleared but immediately changed as he saw it was still there.
But the one of the monster’s head was demolished only leaving a stump, one down four to go. But Blizzy was not pleased.
“Is that the best you can do?” she half yelled.
“I took one of his head off.” Seifer yelled back.
“You idiot!” she screamed, “if you take one of its head off it’ll just regenerate another two!”
“Oh…” Seifer’s eyes widen in shock.
“You idiot!”
“Hey I like to see you do better!” Seifer yelled getting annoyed.
“Fine I will!”
Blizzy stepped in front of Seifer and stood firmly.
The creature was angry, but that didn’t stop her. She held out her staff and whirled it around, just as that happens the large crystal that was on the top of the staff started to shine brilliantly. She stopped and reposition herself and in a battling stance. Seifer had to jump back to avoid being hit buy what comes next. Masses energy hurled around her, Fire, Water, Thunder and Ice all flying around her like a tornado, illuminating runes appeared on the ground beneath her. Blizzy shot her staff upwards and the sky turns dark, the four elements flew upwards forming another rune vertically in mid air. The rune ripped apart as a figure blast out from it into the sky, the sound deafening. It roared and swooped down.
Seifer thought it was Quezacotl at first but no, Squall had Quezacotl. This thing was massive, it’s huge broad wings stretched out casting a shadow over them. The summon was colossal, it look like a phoenix and a dragon cross together. Its plumage was a beautiful green and shimmering gold, it had a head of a dragon and a long thick tail of a phoenix. Its eagle claws where thick and burly and razor sharp. It reminded Seifer of a foot of a T-Rexaur but this was scaly and gold.
It screeched again and swooped lower.
“Attack!” Blizzy yelled, and to Seifer surprise it did.
It lunged at the Hydra talons out stretched as if diving for a prey; it slammed into the enemy sending it flying backwards.
“Ultima!” Blizzy command it.
The summon reared up as power formed around it and it fired! Casting the magic Ultima, making the Hydra roar in pain.
“Razor wing!” Blizzy order.
It pulled back its giant wings as white energy form at the wing tips; it snapped its wing forward as a ripple in the air flew towards the opponent slicing the four heads clean off.
“Finish it off!”
The creature flew high into the sky; it roared a deafening sound as power materializing in its mouth. A huge ball of matter crackling with elements blasted down to earth in tremendous speed shattering the sound barrier.
Seifer had to block his ears because it was so loud, but even that didn’t stop the sound.
The energy ray that it fired slammed into the Hydra demolishing it in seconds, and then it was gone.
The creature swooped down and landed near Blizzy sinking its talons deep in ground, Blizzy walked up to it and patted it on the leg because it was so big; it is big as an Iron Giant. Its wingspan was huge. It bent down so Blizzy can stroke it.
“Meet a real Summon,” Blizzy said patting it on the head, “His name it Tritox.”
“Try what!” Seifer said cautiously walking towards it.
“Tritox.”
“I’ve never seen anything like it.” Seifer said in awe.
“What was it that you use?” Blizzy asked scratching Tritox under its chin.
“I use GF,” he answered “You junction it to you and you can use magic.”
“So you just call it and it comes. Attack and leave,” Blizzy said, “That’s kind of useless don’t you think?”
“After what you just did yeah.” Seifer stepping forward “You have got show me more.”
“I’ll get Amber and Orion, their better at explaining it more than me.” Blizzy said getting on Tritox’s back.
“Do they have it too!?” Seifer said getting on to.
“Yep.” And with on beat of Tritox’s huge wings it took off in the air.
***
Squall entered the booth and took out a small pouch full of the new coins. Zell and Rinoa waited out side. He put in the coins and dialled the Garden’s number.
Squall waited for a moment then it answered. A machine answered
“Sorry, but the number you have dialled does not exist any more. Are you sure you have typed in the right number? Please make sure of that and try again.”
Squall hanged up and got out of the booth.
“It isn’t there,” Squall said to them “they said it does not exists.”
“Um Squall,” Rinoa said stepping up, “Zell and I had a conversation while you were in there.”
“Yeah I think where not in our time,” Zell added, “Like I think we might have gone into the future.”
“Quistis might have the answer,” Squall said running his hand through his hair.
“But she doesn’t know.” Rinoa said.
“Lets find the others.”
With that they ran back to find the others.
“Well that was a waist of time.” Irvine said keeping up with Quistis. Selphie barley keeping up.
“It was worth a try.” Quistis said a little frustrated.
They have been wondering around asking people for information, but lately no luck.
Quistis collapsed on a bench and rubbed her temples.
Irvine stayed up while Selphie sat down too.
“I think we’re not in our time,” Quistis finally said “The portal not only changed us to anther dimension but also in time.”
“You told us that already,” Selphie, said “Why didn’t you tell us about time travel?”
“Because I didn’t know,” Quistis said, “I don’t know anything about portals.”
“You seem to know a lot before.” Irvine thought.
“Yeah well, not at the moment,” Quistis said getting up, “Lets find the others.”
It didn’t take long to find them; they met in front of the hotel.
“Oh I’m so glad to find you guys,” Quistis said running up to them.
“Me too,” Squall said, “lets go talk inside.
“They went inside the hotel. They ordered two rooms one for the guys and one for the girls.
Right now they were in the guys room. Zell, Rinoa and Selphie were sitting on the bed; Quistis sat on a chair while Irvine leaned on a table and Squall stayed up pacing.
“Okay so it took us this long to find out where not in our time,” Squall said pacing in the room, “We don’t know what year this is or what date but we’ll soon find out.”
“We have to find a way to get out of here.” Rinoa said
“But first we have to find out what year we are in,” Quistis reminded, “We’re not going anywhere until we know this place.”
“I am so going to kill Cid when we get back,” Zell said lying on the bed.
“That is if we get back,” Squall said finally stops pacing.
“Shouldn’t we try find to find Shelia and Liam?” Selphie advised “They’re lost like we are, and they are good at theses type of things.”
“We haven’t got time,” Irvine said getting up, “We don’t even know where we are.”
“How could you be so selfish?” Selphie snapped.
“I’m selfish?” Irvine echoed a little annoyed.
“Guys stop!” Squall ordered holding up both hands, “First we go to Octerma the big city to find out more about his place. Then we buy a ship or items to repair ours, then we try and find Shelia and Liam, then and only then we try and find a way back. Got it?”
“Fine.” All of them agreed.
“Good, now get some rest,” Squall said, “Tomorrow we head for Gambernot.”

Chapter three
The Journey
Tritox’s dragon-wings beat gracefully with out effort, Seifer had never rode on a creature’s back before.
He was clinging onto Blizzy for dear life.
“Almost there,” She called to him almost drowned by the wind “Just need to find a landing point.”
Tritox landed on the ground with a thump but stood firmly digging his talons in the earth.
Blizzy jumped off with ease but Seifer struggled to move. But manage to get off.
“Return.” Blizzy commanded, with that Tritox rose in the air and turned into a mercury type light and dived into Blizzy returning to the depths of her mind.
“Cool.” Seifer comment.
“Lets go in.” Blizzy said running back to her house.
They both went inside and found Amber reading and Orion listening to music both sitting in the table.
They stopped as soon as they saw them.
“Hey guys,” Blizzy said pulling out a chair and sitting next to Amber “ I think our friend here have some questions…Surprisingly.”
Seifer sat down a distance to them but still in earshot.
“What are those Summons things you have?”
“Ah yes the Summons,” Orion said leaning back “You don’t have one?”
“He does have one,” Blizzy answered “But I’ve never seen it before.”
“There just summons.” Seifer said.
“Yeah but, they are pretty cool but they just come, attack then leave.” Blizzy clarified.
“Oh GFs.” Orion said casually.
“How do you now?” Blizzy asked
“GFs are very old, it stands for Guardian Force” Orion, explained, “I don’t think any exist now, they used to be a project by a city—it doesn’t exist anymore—I forgot what it’s called. They made it but it had some side effects rending them useless.”
Orion stopped for a moment then continued, “They were desperate to have power so they continued on their project failing miserably each time, but then they came close of breaking through but still had some side effects. They were so desperate that they just ignored it and sold it to secret services and stuff like tha-“ But Orion was interrupted but Seifer.
“I don’t want history of GFs,” He snapped “I want to know about your summons.”
“Okay okay I’m getting to it.” Orion said waving a hand, “They used the GFs for battle even the Sorceress war. After some time the GFs are getting more useless and are abandoned. But much later when technology are way more advanced much years later, Doc Sumycin created a new type of summon. More effective more efficient and versatile. He made more and more of them selling them to the army and mercenaries.”
“Then what happen?” Seifer demanded obviously interested.
“Amber you continue,” Orion said taking a drink of water, “Can’t be bothered.”
“Sloth,” Amber muttered, “Well what happens next, civilians are stating to know about his project. Since Doctor Sumycin was only selling the Summons to Secret services, people somehow found out about the Summons want it for themselves. Thieves try to break in and steal his project; it was getting out of hand. Doctor Sumycin was a very smart scientist and very polite person he really cared for every Summon he made. He has a very wide imagination and very creative, that’s why he has so many Summons. But civilians are very greedy and want it, so a mob found his hidden laboratory and crashed in stealing some of his project. But none of them know how many are there.”
“So what happens?” Seifer said very eager.
“Well, they found out that he had hundreds, many of them. The Summons were confused and angry so they killed and escaped in to the wild. Doctor Sumycin was killed and his laboratory was destroyed. But his Summons still remained in the wilderness. ”Amber paused then continued, “ It all happens so fast, he didn’t even get to name his project, and we just called it The Summons. There are many still out there lost and confused, you can catch them but the only way to get them to join you is if you gain their trust.”
“So how many do you have?” Seifer asked
“I’ve got two, Orion has two as well,” Amber answer, “I don’t know how many Blizzy have.”
“How many do you have?”
“That’s for me to know and you to find out,” Blizzy said getting up “I’m going to bed.”
“You know what?” Orion said speaking to Seifer “I don’t think you’re from this world.”
“Well duh.” Seifer said getting up too, his brains were filled with confusing information, he never heard of theses things…but the GFs. A project made by city that doesn’t exists any more…Esthar, then it accrued to him.
“What year is this?” Seifer asked slowly
“The year five thousand two hundred.” Orion replied.
Seifer almost collapsed in shock, a day ago before he fell off that cliff it was the year five thousand and ten. He had gone two hundred years into the future.
***
The morning was calm and quite, the town was not up yet, The SeeDs slept peacefully and their rooms. Squall woke up.
The morning sunlight shined through the gaps of the curtains, there were three beds Irvine sleeping noisily while Zell snored deep in his sleep. It was still to early, he got dressed any way and waited for the others.
It wasn’t long till they all woke up; they ordered room service and sat down to eat.
“So have anyone found out what year this is?” Irvine asked
“Yeah, an oracle told me in my dreams Irvine.” Squall said sarcastically.
“Just trying to make a conversation.”
“I think we could have gone into the future obviously,” Quistis said smartly, “Some of the things I’ve seen here a totally new.”
“Well, We’ll find out when we get to Octerma.” Squall said just finishing his food.
After they finish they started heading off to Gambernot, they have to pass there to get to Octerma.
“Why can’t we just hire a car?” Zell complained
“You’ve got legs,” Squall said with a small smile “use ‘em”
“But the car goes faster.”
“Zell quite complaining,” Rinoa giggled, “Its good exercise.”
“It only takes a day to get to Gambernot.” Irvine added
“Only?” Zell repeat
They were only joking but Zell didn’t sense it. There was a car rental just down town, it’ll take fifteen minutes to get to the Car hire but they still have to cross the fields.
They’ve been walking for ten minutes till Squall heard a noise to the left. They are walking at the side of a forest not wanting go through, but would have been faster.
Squall stopped.
“What is it Squall?” Rinoa asked.
“Shhhhhh.” Squall hushed, everyone fell silent.
There was something coming from the edge of the forest. For a moment there Squall thought it was something but nothing happen.
“Its nothing,” Squall said “I thought it was-” But then he was cut off as a huge figure lunged at him.
He pushed Rinoa away as the monster pounced on him sending him flying backwards. Squall had never in his life had he ever seen this creature, it was large but not that big. Its sharp beak snapped continuously, its talons thrashing about, it keeps tossing its large eagle side to side. Then Squall realised what it is, it looked like a bird cross with a loin.
Squall quickly got up and dived just in time to dodge the creature’s next pounce, he hastily cast scan. The creature is called a Griffin; its main element is holy.
“What is it?” Selphie called.
“It’s a Griffin,” Squall answered getting out his gunblade “I’ve never heard of it.”
His comrades did the same by drawing out their weapons ready for battle.
The Griffin lounged again heading for Zell, but Zell successfully dodged it and slammed his fist knocking the griffin’s giant head silly. The Griffin backed up again and searched for a new target, it dived at Selphie. But Selphie was prepared she powered up and cast Thundara knocking it out of the air. The Griffin knowing it was outnumbered fled back into the forest.
“Well that was surprising.” Irvine said putting away his gun.
“Now can we get a car?” Zell said impatiently
“We are Zell,” Quistis said “We’re almost at the Car Hire.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“We were just joking,” Squall, said, “Now lets go.”
Five minutes later they reached the Car hire, they hired a car and asked directions to Gambernot.
Pretty soon all six of them were in a large car heading for Gambernot.
“Why can’t I sit in the front?” Zell whined
“Zell grow up,” Squall was driving and was sitting with Rinoa and Selphie. “Your in the back okay!”
“I can’t believe I’m stuck with theses two.” Quistis grumbled, poor Quistis was sitting in between Irvine and Zell.
They were driving through the Gamblers Plains Selphie was holding the map. It would take the whole day to get to Gambernot.
***
Noises…Light…Seifer lied there not wanting to get up, he didn’t care if the bed was rock hard (if it is a bed.)
“What happen!” a voice said.
“I don’t know, he just collapsed.” Another voice said
“What did you say to him Orion!?”
“Why must you always blame me Blizzy!?” he protested
Seifer eyes tight shut; he was sprawled on the floor.
“What happen?”
“Okay, he asked for the year and I answered and he just started choking or something and then he collapsed passed out.”
“Look his eyes are flickering.”
“Uuugh…” Seifer slowly opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was Blizzy kneeling next to him, Amber was next to him too and Orion was just behind her, “What happen?”
“You passed out.”
Seifer slowly sat up and rubbed his head.
“Is it really the year five thousand two hundred?”
“Yes.” Orion answered.
Seifer groaned.
“Are you okay?” Blizzy asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I’m not from this year,” Seifer explained, “About two days ago it was the year five thousand and ten.”
“Whoa! That’s a long time!” Orion exclaimed, “You could be Blizzy’s Great- Great- Great- Great- Great- Great- Great- Great- Great- Great Grandfather or something.”
“That’s a very small chance.” Amber siad.
“I’m joking.”
“Seifer you don’t look that good,” Blizzy said, “Your not the first person who came from the pass.”
“I’m not?”
“No, a couple had come through here claming that they came from the pass. But they didn’t stay long.”
“Who are they?”
“Their names were Shelia and Liam.”
“Oh”
“Do you know them?”
“Nope.”
“Seifer I think you should head for Octerma they might have some answers for you.” Orion suggested
“I think I will,” Seifer said getting up, “Is it far from here?”
“Yeah,” Amber replied, “it’s a two day trip.”
“What! What do you mean two days?” Seifer protested, “Why can’t we just fly there?”
“We have to stop by at Gambernot to sign up,” Blizzy explained “Then we can go to Octerma.”
Blizzy amber and Orion spent twenty minutes packing up to head for Gambernot; Seifer stood their waiting impatiently.
After they were finish they were all ready to go.
“About time.” Seifer said heading off.
All four of them head off away from Calimar and started heading for Gambernot. Seifer was complaining all the way.
“Why can’t we just fly there?” Seifer said how was just behind them, “Blizzy flew that Tritox of yours to your house.”
“I was showing off okay!” Blizzy snapped getting tired of Seifer’s continuos complaining.
“Seifer we haven’t been out of Calimar for a wile now,” Amber said, “Its nice to walk out in the open.”
“GUYS LOOK OUT!” Orion yelled.
Seifer whirled around just in time to dodge a huge monster that charged at him. Again he had never seen this monster before, it look similar to a Marlboro but it was a disgusting brown colour and had thick green vines lashing everywhere.
Seifer took out his SpiritWolf and loaded in the fire bullets, he saw Blizzy pulling out her black staff, Amber took out two sharp daggers and Orion already has his Crossbow out.
“What is it?” Seifer yelled.
“It’s a Mandrake,” Orion called back loading a flaming arrow on to his metal crossbow, “Weakness is fire.”
The Mandrake lunged a Seifer again but Seifer was ready and he fired a Firaga at its gaping mouth and it stopped at mid-lounge, its vines was on fire but it quickly smothered it out on the ground. It shrieked and lunged at him again.
“Why is it after me!” Seifer yelled.
“Seifer stand back,” Blizzy called, “Amber can take care of this one.”
With that Amber stepped up and position herself.
She closed her eyes and called.
“Cosmos, come to me!”
After that masses of fire whirled around her, orbs of white holy light orbit Amber and the ground started to shake. Seifer was almost knocked to his feet, the mandrake stood there watching.
Trails of fire lit up the ground surrounding Amber. The shape looks familiar to Seifer, and then he knew. It was a Phoenix.
The trail of fire that surrounds Amber was in a shape of a Phoenix. Amber jumped back just in time as the trail burst into flames reveals a beautiful Phoenix. It screeched a holy sound as it lunged out from the ground and into the sky.
The phoenix was awesome, it look similar to the phoenix that if you have a Phoenix Pinion you can summon it. But this has some differences.
It was big but smaller than Tritox. It had stunning gold and red feathers that glister in the sunlight; its golden talons were razor sharp. The phoenix’s beak was a glistering gold colour and its long tail was a dazzling metallic red and gold.
The Phoenix was emitting a light gold aura around it and it had a golden halo on it head like an angel.
It screeched its holy music and swooped down next to Amber.
“Firebolt!” Amber commanded. The Phoenix leaped into the air and folder its shimmering wings, it’s whole body started to glow a blinding red and then it dived. It shot towards the Mandrake in incredible speed; fire was trailing behind it like a meteor. It slammed into the Mandrake bursting it into infernal flame.
The mandrake screeched an eerie sound as it lashed about trying to put out the flawless flame, but it was too much.
“Finish it off,” Amber called, “Holy Smash!”
The Phoenix landed into the ground with a thumped and planted its talons firmly in to the ground, it screech it sacred song and flared it wings. Holy light began to form at its wing tips; with a blast it fired it into the air. Dozens golden rays ablaze into the sky, it reminded Seifer of Alexander’s attack. The sky flickered for a moment before the rays of light came hurling towards the earth smashing into the Mandrake incinerating it immediately.
“What is that?” Seifer said getting up.
“This is Cosmos,” Amber replied stroking it on the head, “He’s my summon.”
“That was pretty cool,” Seifer said putting away his gunblade, “But no offence, Tritox is better.”
Amber look slightly off put.
“But they are the same, a bit.” She said desperately.
“Tritox and Cosmos don’t get along with each other,” Blizzy said with a little laugh, “But they are the same in small ways.”
“Like what?” Seifer said.
“Well, Tritox is bigger and he has a head of a dragon and massive wings of a dragon too, his feathers and scales are green,” Blizzy said thoughtfully, “But other than that their the same.”
“Oh”
“Hey guys lets get going,” Orion said stepping up, “We might as well ride.”
Pretty soon Seifer and Blizzy was on Tritox’s back and Amber and Orion as on Cosmos’s.
They all flew off to Gambernot.

Chapter four
Gambernot City.
It was almost night, dusk started to settle.
Squall was still driving; they have been driving for eleven hours. They switch now and then but they are almost at Gambernot, just a few hours.
Selphie, Rinoa and Zell were fast asleep at the back, but Irvine Quistis and Squall are up front.
Squall sat near the window staring absent minded out at the rushing scenery.
“How far are we?” Quistis asked.
“Not far,” Squall answered, “We’ll reach there by ten.”
Irvine was driving. Squall was so tried he drifted of into a deep sleep.
“Hey Squall,” Someone was shaking his shoulders “Hey Squall we’re here.”
Squall stirred the other way and continued sleeping.
“Squall!” Another voices cried shaking his shoulders harder. Squall groaned and slowly opened his eyes.
Irvine and Quistis where standing over him, looking down on him. He was sprawled on the front seat.
“We’re here?” he asked groggily.
“Yep”
Squall stretched out and hopped out of the car.
He saw the others already out.
He walked up to them and stood next to Rinoa.
“Squall look!”
Squall glanced out at a distance and saw it. The city. It was beautiful, it reminded him of Dealing City. But this was way bigger and advanced. The sky scrapers were massive all glowing different colour hues of there own. The shops and other buildings were bigger and the streets filled with cars speeding along. Humming pole lights illuminated the parks and streets. The City Gambernot.
“Its beautiful,” Selphie squeaked jumping up and down, “I want to explore!”
“Not yet,” Squall demanded, “We’ll get a hotel and stay there till morning.”
All six of them took off into the foreign city, it was very crowed for nighttime. They walked past huge malls, the bell tower and even craning their necks up so they can see the tallest tower. The lights of many colours illumine the street. It took them an hour to find a hotel because the city was so big, there were three but they always pic the most expensive because they like the room services.
Once they where in side Squall collapsed on the nearest bed. The girls went into the other room.
“This place is unbelievable,” Zell said walking to the balcony and opening the slide doors, “absolutely unbelievable.”
“I thought Esthar was unbelievable.” Irvine said dropping on to the bed.
Zell walked back in and fell on the bed, “I wonder what will Octerma look like.”
Squall didn’t hear any of this; he just shut everything out and fell into a deep slumber.
***
It was already dark. Seifer wounder how the two large summons could see, but then he wondered what else they could do.
Blizzy’s hair snapped him back into reality. Then he saw it. Gambernot.
It looked like a small version of Esthar but a large version on Deling. But the buildings were lit up and hundreds of different colours.
Tritox and Cosmos landed just in front of the city a few yards from the gate. The summons both glowed a metallic mercury shape and dived back into their owners.
“We’re here.” Amber said stretching her legs.
“Finally.” Seifer grumbled.
“Hey guys,” Orion said stretching too, “Lets go.”
“Er fellas,” Blizzy said before they took a step, “We got company.”
A shape blast out of the bushes and lunged at them Seifer had of course never seen this creature but can described it perfectly, it was as big as a Elnoyle and nasty as it is. A menacing bird with a large gaping mouth snapping in hunger.
“How many monsters do we have to fight!” Seifer yelled.
“Oh you know how annoying monsters can be,” Blizzy said, “That’s a Garuda.”
“I’m sick of this.” Seifer said powering up.
He held out a hand and muttered the word Counter Rockets.
The gates of Hell opened as six pair of yellow glowing eyes gleamed in the gloom. A growl escaped from its mouth as it dashed out of the gate before stopping. Cerberus powered up as yellow and blue light formed in its mouth. He drew back his head and fired into the sky. Three yellow beams shot into the maelstrom above him.
With a blinding flash Seifer gained the magic Triple and Double, Blizzy and Amber got it to but Orion missed.
Seifer held out a hand and cast Ultima three times.
“This is so cool!” Amber said as she cast Thundaga three times.
“You don’t have this?” Seifer ask surprisingly.
“No,” Blizzy answered casting a magic Seifer has never seen three times. “We can cast two magic an a row but different magic.”
“Cool.” Seifer said dodging the Garuda’s attack.
“Now its my turn.” Orion said stepping up.
He stood firmly and powered up.
He clasps both of his hands together and held up two fingers. He placed it on his forehead as the purple clouds covered the star sky, Orion’s hands was crackling with blue and yellow electricity. A huge thunder bolt blast down from the center of the clouds and slammed down to earth in front of Orion as electricity snaked its way in airborne forming a shape that Seifer couldn’t identify. As the shape formed from the lighting its true shaped appeared. A white tiger with patterned black stripes and it was slightly bigger than an Iguion. It had silver claws that sink deep in the ground, it also had three lighting shaped horns on its head curving backwards; the middle was the longest. It had electric yellow eyes. It tilted back his large head and roared.
“Lighting Claw!” Orion commanded.
The tiger’s claws started to glow an electric yellow colour as it ponced on the Garuda. As soon as its claws made contact with the bird’s feathers a large impulsive crack sound came from it as the bird was getting electrocuted. Seifer could even see the bird’s skeleton. Orion’s summon sink its glowing claws deeper into the Garuda’s feathered body as it screamed an eerie shriek. The summon jumped down as the Garuda collapsed on the ground. The summon gave a last growl as it slowly paced to its master.
“Meet Jagger,” Orion said as it sat down obediently beside him, “He was my first Summon.”
Jagger made a low growl. It’s very large; its head was the same level as Orion was tall, even when it was sitting down.
“Wow,” Seifer said walking up to it, “ That’s really cool.”
“You think?” Orion said, “He’s very versatile.”
“Come on guy’s,” Blizzy said walking towards the gate, “We’re here.”
Blizzy and Amber lead the way while Seifer walked with Orion and Jagger walking beside him. It moved gracefully like molten steel, his paws the size of dinner plates made no sound on the ground.
As soon as they reached the gate Jagger returned to Orion’s mind.
Seifer stepped through the gates knowing he was in a foreign city. He had to crane his head up to see the tall skyscrapers that was glowing a different colours.
He followed behind Blizzy as they looked for a hotel. They where three so they choose the medium one, not too expensive but not to cheep.
They cheeked in two rooms and headed up. They were in the tallest floor that was 66 stories high. Seifer watch them unpacked as he ate dinner then got ready for bed.
About eleven o’clock they were all asleep, Seifer shared the same room as Orion who was sleeping in the bed next to the wall. Seifer had the bed near the window.
He glanced out he window, the curtains were close but he could see the outlines of the buildings. He stared at the ceiling for a while before drifting into sleep.
***
Squall woke up with the sound of traffic down below; steams of light bathed his face. He realised that someone had already opened the curtains. He got up, showered then went to the next room. All of his comrades were sitting there eating breakfast. Rinoa handed him some pancakes and sat down.
“So what are we doing again?” Irvine said.
“I read somewhere on one of the pamphlet that we have to register hear before going to Octerma.” Quistis said after finishing her cereal.
“That’s right,” Squall said after scoffing down his pancakes, “We can go now if you guys don’t mind.”
After they ate, all of them headed down back to the city.
“Squall can we please explore the city,” Selphie asked, “pretty please?”
“Ummm…okay,” Squall said uneasily, “But you guys have to meet back at Crystal park Café in four hours”
“Okay.”
“Quistis, Selphie and Irvine you can go as one group,” Squall pointed out, “Zell, Rinoa your with me.”
After that they all took off in different directions.
“Oh this place is so cool!” Selphie said running about.
Quistis and Irvine were trying to catch up. Selphie ran into the huge shopping complex running around looking for some things to buy.
After half an hour Irvine was already carrying some shopping bags, along with some of Quisty’s stuff.
“Can we stop now? I’m exhausted.” Irvine said dropping the bags and boxes.
“How are we supposed to carry all this?” Quistis said putting down her bags, “Squall wont be too happy.”
“That’s why I got some of these,” Selphie said holding out a strange golden orb, “It’s a item compressor, you type in the item you want to store. Then it beams it into the crystal ball compressing it into matter, storing it into the orb.”
She held it out to Quistis and Irvine to see. It was a small item the size of a mandarin; it had a crystal glowing ball surrounded by a thick gold ring. The ball glowed orange as Selphie pressed a small white stone on the ring and a miniature gold keyboard slid out.
“Look.” Selphie cried as she hit series of buttons and an orange light shot out of the ball devouring the bags. Quistis and Irvine stared in amazement as the packages rapidly shrink and got sucked into the now glowing yellow crystal orb like a vacuum.
“Selphie that’s amazing!” Quistis said looking at the orb.
“Here I got all of you one,” Selphie said happily as she handed one out to Quistis and Irvine, “it was on sale, and I got one for Squall, Rinoa and Zell.”
Irvine took his and studied it. He pressed the tiny white button as the gold miniature keyboard snapped open from on side of the ring. He typed in what he wanted to store and immediately an orange light shot out of the ball devouring his stuff and got sucked into the ball.
“Cool!”
“Come on lets go,” Quistis said after storing her stuff, “Lets find the others.”
“What a place!” Rinoa said walking swiftly, “I love to go shopping.”
“We’re just looking around,” Squall said, “We can’t stay here long.”
“Oh Squall don’t be such a spoil sport.” Rinoa said.
“Yeah we might as well have fun.” Zell said munching on a hamburger. All they did was go shopping till the Squall and Zell had to carry Rinoa’s bags and boxes. They we’re begging to sit down.
“Man, I’m wiped out.” Zell said slumping on the bench after dropping the bags.
“Rinoa how are we to carry all of this?” Squall said sitting next to Zell.”
“Ummm…”
“Hey guy!” Selphie cried running up to them, “I can’t believe I we found you guys, this place is huge!”
“Whoa look at all the stuff you guys got.” Irvine said looking at the pile of bags.
“Most of them are Rinoa’s,” Squall aid getting up from the bench, “I don’t know how are we suppose to carry all of this.”
“Your in luck.” Selphie said pulling something out of her pocket and giving each on to Squall, Rinoa and Zell. “Its a item Compressor.” She showed them how to use them. Squall was very impressed.
“How many items can it store?” He asked after he tried it out.
“There’s infinite space,” Selphie replied, “But don’t forget what you stored.”
“Cool.”
“Whoa what time is it?” Zell said trying out his own.
“Four thirty.” Quistis replied.
“Okay lets get going” Squall said, “We go to the registration office and then we can leave.”
“Awww Squall cant we stay here for one more day?” Rinoa asked, “Pretty please.”
“Okay.” Squall said kind of liking the place himself, “But one more day.”
His comrade’s cheered as they set off to city.

Chapter five
Orphan’s Reunion
Seifer woke pretty late; he glanced at Orion’s bed and saw it was already made.
He got up and heard voices in the next room; it must be Blizzy and the others in the next room. Seifer got up showered changed into new clothes that Amber got him.
Just as he got out of the bathroom he saw something glister in the table, and he noticed that it was Blizzy’s, Amber and Orion’s weapons.
Seifer walked over and studied them. He carefully picked Orion’s bow; it was beautifully designed made of pure silver platinum. Seifer can identify some if the items use to model this weapon; steel orb because of the metal, laser cannon because of its powerful shooting string and lightweight; it was pretty heavy, but it would have been heavier. He spotted a quiver filled with shinny arrows. Seifer knew immediately that they were enchanted, because of the colours. Each gold and silver plated metal arrow had different coloured tail feathers identifying the elements.
Seifer put down the Crossbow and picked up the two daggers; these were Ambers. Each dagger a both twenty-five cm from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade. The dagger was a stunning blue platinum colour; it had a ruby shape Phoenix studded on the handle of one knife and a diamond unicorn on the other. The blade was thick but it was really sharp at the edges. The daggers were made of, a mesmerise blade, phoenix spirit, and chief’s knife. Seifer placed it down and picked up the last Blizzy’s weapon, the staff; it was a shimmering black silver colour. It was five or six feet long; it had a large flawless crystal on the top of the staff, shaped of a flame and the size of a very large pear. The shaft had silver engraved rune patterns down it and it also had a chain attach to the top of the staff under the crystal base, at the end of the chain was a small round purple diamond surrounded by two silver rings.
It hummed lightly and the larger crystal glowed a deep purple. Seifer put it back down and walked to the next room. Blizzy, Amber and Orion were eating breakfast, Amber handed Seifer a plate of scramble eggs and toast. He sat down and started eating.
“Late room service?” he asked
“Yep.” Blizzy answered just finishing hers.
“We need to register at the output station if we want to go to Gambernot,” Amber said she to finish, “It’s not to far from here.”
“Your weapons are back there.” Seifer said.
“Oh yeah,” Orion said taking a swig of his orange juice, “We were just cleaning them, I’ll go and get them.”
Shortly afterwards he came back with them, he gave them to their owner.
“I’ve never seen these type of weapons,” Seifer said, “Our ones back at my time are not that enchanted.”
“Well technology are highly advanced of course,” Blizzy said, “and so is magic.”
“Hey lets get going.” Orion said getting up.
Seifer was shocked that his Bow and arrows had just disappeared, Orion must have seen his expression and explained.
“We’ve got an device that can store items,” Orion gave a spare to Seifer, “Its an item compressor.”
Seifer studied it curiously and put it in his pocket.
All three of them walked out of the hotel and headed for the Output station.
“Why do we have to go to that output thingy anyway?” Seifer said.
“Octerma is a very strict city,” Orion replied, “You have to register to even set foot on it.”
“Well that sucks.”
“You know there is a reason for that.” Blizzy said.
“What?”
***
“Man, we’ve been walking for hours.” Zell said sitting on a bench.
“We might as well go sign up for Octerma.” Selphie said.
“Why do we have to sign up?” Irvine asked.
“I honestly don’t know,” Quistis said, “maybe it’s a security thing.”
“Do you really want to find out?” Squall asked them.
“Might as well.” Rinoa said, “ We don’t know much about this place.”
“Okay we’ll all go to the local library.” Squall said.
It didn’t take them that long to find the library, but it was huge.
Quistis and Zell checked out the computers, Selphie and Irvine looked in the vertical files and Squall and Rinoa looked at the references.
“Squall here’s a good one.” Rinoa called holding very thick history book.
“Rinoa! That book is as thick as a T-Rexaur’s tail!” Squall pointed out.
“Oh quit complaining.”
Rinoa placed down the book and scanned the index.
“Ah, here.” She said placing a finger on it, “Page nine hundred and eighty-four.”
She sat down on a chair flipped to the page. Squall sat next to her and she began to read out loud.
“One hundred and fifty years ago the generation of human and magic started to expand, Magic and people started to evolve. Each of them has their own new magic. It was fine at first like people are getting along. But then they start to grow more different. The people are judging the levels of magic and those who are not worthy are being targeted. Some other people disagree with that, so they all split into two huge groups. One group was lead by a powerful group of six called the Dark Thunder. They are a reckless group and they have pure evil in them, they lead a horrible army. They kill any who will not follow them. So the whole population was divided. Those who follow the Dark Thunder live on one side of the earth and the others take refuge on the other side. The Dark Thunder was driven by one Supreme Being. No one knows what it is or who it is, but they say it was a powerful Sorcerer.”
“Sorcerer?” Squall asked, “What’s a Sorcerer?”
“Its like a Sorceress but a male.” Rinoa answered.
“Wow, aren’t they very rare?”
“Yes, they are Squall,” Rinoa said, “This one was the first to ever appear for a thousand years.”
“How powerful are they?”
“They can sometimes enter the mind, they can also be immortal and ageless.”
“Wow.”
“Lets continue,” Rinoa said looking back at the book, “The Sorcerer’s army took over half the world and threaten to take over the other half. The people on the other side, the good side. They don’t want that to happen. So a group got together, they were called the White Lighting. They were the finest six fighters and mages there ever was. The have the power of might and magic combine. They trained an army to fight the Sorcerer’s dark army. They trained for years until they were ready. The Sorcerer accepted the challenge and they head off to the Centra Plains for the final war. The Sorcerer War. It was the fight for freedom and the fight for triumph. The White Lighting’s army have to win for our freedom, if the Dark Thunder wins then…”
“Then what?” Squall asked, “Then what!”
“Game Over…”
“Oh man,” Squall groaned, “This must be pretty big war.”
“It was Squall.”
“Well what happened.”
“The war lasted for two straight years, it was a clash of magic and weapons. It was disastrous the most gruesome and the most powerful war ever in magic history… oh no!”
“What?” Squall asked, “What.
“…We lost, Squall,” Rinoa whispered, “We lost…”
“What do you mean we lost?” Squall said already knowing the answer.
“The White Lighting lost, we lost our freedom.”
“Now this is just sad,” grumbled Squall, “lets get the other, we can find out more in Octerma.
So they gathered the others and headed to the Output to sign up.
When they were about to reach the Output station Squall saw a figure, the last person he ever wanted to see when they are lost in time.
***
“What do you mean we lost?” Seifer demanded after Blizzy told him about the Sorcerer War.
“I’ll tell you later,” Blizzy said, “Seifer you wait here, Amber, Orion and I will sign you up.”
“Why can’t I go?”
“Just stay in this park okay,” Blizzy ordered, “We’ll be back.”
Blizzy, Amber and Orion took off to the Output station.
Seifer hated waiting but he might as well do as he was told.
‘For once.’ He mumbled.
Seifer heard a sound behind him and he whirled around, his heart skipped a beat as he saw who was approaching him. The one and only person he loathed the most.
“Squall.” He whispered in pure hatred.
“Seifer.” Squall voice was filled with pure venom.
Squall’s group caught up with him. They were all standing six paces from Seifer.
Squall immediately pulled out his Gunblade.
“Honestly Squall,” Seifer said with a sigh, “Do we always have to fight.”
“What are you doing here Seifer.” Squall demanded.
“Oh Squall, what makes you think I’m up to something.” Seifer said with a smirk.
“Spit it out Seifer,” Quistis said pulling out her whip, “Whenever you’re around something foul always happen.”
“Why, you wound me, my dear little instructor,” Seifer said with a hint mockery, “That was a little harsh.”
“Quit fooling around, Seifer, “Zell said flexing his muscle, “Your always up to no good.”
“Well if it isn’t our favourite little chicken wuss.” Seifer sneered remembering the old times.
“Why you…” Zell started but Squalls stoped him.
“What do you want Seifer.” He demanded again.
“You guys are always following me,” Seifer snapped starting to get annoyed. “Always ruining my plans!”
“That means you are up to something.” Rinoa said covering up her fears.
“Not really.” Seifer said eyes narrowing,” I am sick of this, I’m going to get rid of you once and for all!”
Seifer pulled out his new SpiritWolf but didn’t let it glow. He wanted the element of surprise.
Squall’s Lionheart was already glowing a faint light blue colour.
“I see you got a new Gunblade.” Squall stated, signalling the others to back up then switching to a battling stance.
“Yes I did, Squall,” Seifer said brandishing the SpiritWolf. “I misplace my old one.”
“Some knight you are.” Squall said with full mockery.
Seifer narrowed his dark green eyes. “Don’t disappoint me now Squall.” He said lifting his Gunblade to his favourite battling stance.
Before Squall could take step Seifer hurled a mass of glowing fire towards Squall. Squall knowing Seifer always starts first, already has auto-reflect sent the fireball hurling back towards its owner. Seifer quickly cast Shell that absorbed half the fireball. Rinoa drew Aura from Seifer and cast it on herself.
“Steeling now, Rinoa?” Seifer said with a hint annoyance. “I thought I’d never see the day.” Seifer knows a place back in his own world where to draw Aura. He always goes there to draw it. But Squall and the others always steel it from him.
“Anything to get rid of you, Seifer.” Rinoa said.
Seifer hurled a more powerful fireball at Squall knocking him back ward. Squall leaped to his feet and cast Thundaga.
Seifer’s Shell absorbed half of it, Squall draw something from him but he was too distracted to see what it was. Seifer was about to switch the safety latch off on his Gunblade, but a sharp pian slammed into his left shoulder sending him staggering backwards. He dropped his Gunblade and held his shoulder with his right hand; red blood seeped through his gloved hand.
He glared dangerously at the shooter.
Irvine stood tall with his Gun out, flickers of smoke hovered from the muzzle.
“Enough!” Irvine snapped, “I am sick of fighting you!”
Seifer sneered at them knowing was outnumbered he slowly picked up his Gunblade with his left hand and steadily straighten up. Right hand still holding his wounded shoulder.
“Don’t think you’ve seen the last of me, Squall!” he spat, “I’ll make you beg for death!”
With that, Seifer angrily turned around and stumbled away.

Chapter six
The LaserWing
“Let me at him!” Zell yelled rolling up his sleeve as he saw Seifer stagger away.
“No, Zell.” Squall said holding out an arm, “Let him go.”
“But…”
“No. He’s not really a threat,” Squall explained, “We’ll deal with him later.”
“Okay.”
They all entered the Output Station and it mildly reminded Squall of the Lunar Gate. He shivered at the thought.
He was walking a bit faster than usual that he accidentally bumped into a girl.
She fell backwards landing on her butt.
“Oh I’m sorry,” Squall, said in surprise, “I didn’t see-“
“Hey watch it you moron!” she snapped glaring at him with her piercing green eyes.
Squall was a bit shock, but tried to help her up by offering a hand, she ignored it and got up herself.
“I…I’m sorry I didn’t see you.” Squall repeated.
“Yeah, whatever.” She retorted, adjusting her dark green cape so it doesn’t cover her shoulders. She walked off with two more people following her. Squall shrugged and walked off.
“Squall come on.” Rinoa called, going in the cue.
The line wasn’t that long, but still took a while. Two more people then they are up.
“Squall, shouldn’t we use different names?” Quistis pointed out, “Because we’re in the future, we don’t want to make a scene.
“Good idea.” Squall whispered.
So the each got different names. Squall was Tom Strife, Rinoa wanted to be Tiger Lilly, Quistis chose to be Christy Tapper. Selphie wanted to be Alora Sunny, Irvine decide to be Vincent Snipe and Zell demanded to be Ambient Specular.
Squall and the others signed up, there was a tense moment when Zell almost forgotten his fake name but rights it just in time.
They waited for it to load in the computer.
“Very well,” The female clerk said, “This must be your first time here.”
“Yes.”
“Where would you like to go?”
“Octerma City.”
“Okay then do you prefer to walk, ride a ground transport or do you wish to hire an air craft?” she asked, briskly typing on the keyboard.
“Air craft.” Squall answered.
“Very well, take this pass and go to the green launch pad. Show this pass to the guard there and they will show you and your group to your pilot.”
She handed Squall a very complex card after he paid, and then they headed off to the green platform.
Squall handed the guard the pass and the guard led them to small room.
There was a young man sitting at a table with is feet up on the desk; he was drinking a cup of coffee while reading a magazine.
He leaped up as soon as he saw them walked in.
“Aright!” he said jumping over the desk, “Passengers.”
The guard nodded and walked off closing the door behind him.
The man walked up to Squall, grabbed his hand and shakes it.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” he said still shaking Squall’s hand, “I’ve been sitting on this desk all day doing nothing but drinking coffee!”
“Er…yeah…” Squall mumbled as he slid his hand away from his grasp.
“My name Brian Eaglewing, but you can call me Smash.” He said with a warm smile.
They introduced themselves to him.
Squall looked at him cautiously, the pilot was pretty young in his mid twenties, and he had friendly hazel eyes and has large goggles on his head that messed up his sandy coloured hair. He also wore a white and red scarf around his neck.
Squall wasn’t too keen to have a pilot whose nickname is Smash.
“Come on, I’ll show you guys the big girl.” Smash turned around and walked to a door behind the desk. They all followed him.
***
Seifer stumble for a while before collapsing to his knees, he doesn’t have any potion left and he hasn’t been drawing any magic lately. Then he heard voices behind him.
“Seifer there you are!”
Blizzy, Amber and Orion caught up to him.
“Oh my gosh,” Amber cried pointing to his shoulder, “Your bleeding.”
“Where?” Blizzy demanded.
“No its nothing.” Seifer said stubbornly pulling away.
“What do you mean nothing!” Orion said, “You’ve been shot.”
“We got to get him to a infirmary.” Amber suggested.
“Wait I know a Doctor who lives close by.” Orion said.
“I can’t even leave you alone for two minutes.” Blizzy complained.
They half dragged, half carried Seifer to a small house.
There was a sign at the porch saying Dr Casio.
They walked up to the door and Blizzy knocked three times, Seifer was still struggling.
The door opened immediately and there stood a man in his late thirties.
“Blizzy, Amber, Orion,” He said smile widening, “Its great to see you guys again!”
“Please doctor,” Amber asked, “Our friend needs your help.”
“Very well come inside.”
The carried Seifer inside and placed him on a bed.
“Whoa!” the doctor cried as Seifer tried to throw a punch at him. “A very touchy fellow isn’t he?”
“Don’t touch me!” Seifer snapped.
“Seifer grow up.” Blizzy snapped back.
Orion and Amber tried to hold him. Dr Casio loaded a hypodermic needle.
Seifer glared at it.
“If you touch me with that I’ll stab you in the heart with it.” He threatened.
The doctor let out a small laugh.
“Is he scared of needles?”
“No he’s just stubborn.” Blizzy answered simply.
Blizzy held out a hand and it started glowing purple and yellow.
Seifer knew what she was doing.
“If you dare…” he growled.
“Sorry.”
Stars and light surrounded Seifer then he passed out.
***
Smash led them in to a large hanger, and there stood an awesome looking aircraft.
“Isn’t she a beauty?” he asked. “This model is the LaserWing.”
Squall can see what he meant. The ship was a beautiful shiny silver colour, it looked almost similar to the Ragnarok but this one has large broad side wings.
Smash walked up to the ship took out a card small keyboard and typed in a series of buttons and the hatch opened. They all climbed aboard.
It looked small from the outside but it was very roomy inside.
There were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one kitchen and the storeroom. Smash led them to another room where there were passenger seats, the cockpit was also just in front up some small steps.
Irvine and Selphie sat down at the front glaring out the window, Quistis went off to wander through the ship and Zell went to the kitchen. Squall followed Smash to the cockpit.
“This baby is my third aircraft,” Smash explained hopping in the seat, “She’s my favourite so far.”
“How about the other two?” Squall asked leaning against the window arms crossed.
“My rank has gone up.” Smash answered initiating the controls, “My first plane was the SwitchBlade, it was smaller and sluggish. My second one was the RapierHawk. Faster but not as big.”
Smash pressed several buttons and the ship started to tremble.
“Ready for take off!” he called.
Zell came bounding into the cockpit.
“Hey Squall, you should try this hamburg-” but Zell stopped as Squall shot him an angry look.
Zell clapped his hand over his mouth.
“Squall?” Smash asked, “I thought your name is Tom.”
“Yes it is,” Squall said glaring angrily at Zell, “Its just a nick name.”
“Oh okay.”
Zell and Squall walked down the steps and joined the others at the kitchen.
“Zell, is something wrong with your mouth?” Squall said grabbing a hamburger.
“I’m sorry,” Zell, said sheepishly, “it was a accident.”
“Yeah well, be careful next time.”
“Squall do you know how long it will take to get there?” Quistis asked.
“No not really,” Squall said sitting down, “I’ll ask Smash later.”
“I don’t like leaving Seifer back there,” Irvine said grabbing a handful of chips, “he could be up to something.”
“What is he doing here in the first palce?” Selphie wondered.
“He maybe got lost like us,” Rinoa suggested, “you know the whirlpool.”
“Yeah, just leave him,” Quistis said taking a sip of water, “he maybe lost as we are.”
“Yeah I guess your right.” Squall said.
“But Squall, you heard what he said,” Zell said after finishing his third hamburger, “He’s after us.”
“Well he’s a bit outnumbered don’t you think?” Selphie said.
“Yeah well, I don’t trust him.” Zell stated.
“We’ll deal with him later,” Squall demanded, “We’ll deal with our problem first, then if Seifer is up to something we’ll do something about it.”

Chapter seven
Crystal Cave
Seifer groaned, he really was getting sick and tired of passing out all the time.
‘I’m gonna kill her.’ Seifer thought to himself.
He opened his eyes and found himself lying on a steel table. He sat up and tried to hop of the table, but a sharp pian in his left shoulder stopped him.
He tried again but he felt as if three-quarters of his energy was drained.
“What’s wrong with me?” he mumbled.
That’s when Blizzy walked in.
“How are ya felling?” She asked leaning against the steel table.
“Exhausted,” Seifer panted, “I’ve never felt so tired in my life.”
“That’s funny,” Blizzy said flicking a strand of hair from her eyes, “The Doc gave you a very powerful Elixir that should cure you to your full potential.”
“Yeah well, it didn’t work.” Seifer grumbled as Orion walked in.
“Feeling better?” He asked.
“No, not really,” Blizzy answered for him, “the Elixir doesn’t seem to work.”
“What do you mean?” Orion said, “That was a Phoenix Elixir, it works for anything.”
“No,” Seifer said shaking his head, “Something’s missing.”
Then it occurred to him. Squall!
Seifer yelled in frustration and slammed his fist in the table.
“What?” Orion said in surprise, “What is it?
“That thief,” Seifer said ignoring him, “He stole my Bahamut.”
“Bahamut? You mean your GF?” Blizzy asked, “what do you mean stolen?”
“GFs can be taken from one opponent, “Orion explained, “you can draw it from one another as if it was magic.”
“Well that sucks.”
“I’m gonna kill him.” Seifer growled.
“Who stole it?” Orion asked.
“Squall.”
“I don’t know who he that but we can try and get it back,” Blizzy suggested, “How about you’re other one?”
“I don’t believe it!” Seifer said after scanning his magic, “Cerberus is missing.”
“Squall took it?”
“No, he’s just missing,” Seifer groaned, “I can’t use any magic,”
“What?!” Blizzy blanched, “What do you mean you can’t use any magic?”
“GFs are the main junction for magic,” Orion explained, “If your GF is missing you’re completely and utterly powerless.”
“That’s stupid.”
“Seifer uses magic like items, he don’t have mp like we do.”
“Is that true Seifer?” Blizzy asked.
He nodded his head.
“I don’t know what to do,” Seifer said, “Those GFs are all I ever had.”
“Well there’s only one thing to do then.” Blizzy said crossing her arms.
“What?” Seifer mumble.
“Its time to get you a Summon.”
***
“Hey, you guy’s don’t need to worry about Seifer.” Squall said.
“Why?” Zell asked.
“I took a GF from him,” Squall said with a hint of delight in his voice, “I got Bahamut.”
“So that’s where it is,” Quistis said, “remember we went to Battle ship Island and nothing was there.”
“Yeah, I think he also has Cerberus.” Irvine added. “Oh well.”
They just finished eating and went off wondering around the ship. Squall and Rinoa went to the cockpit to see Smash.
Rinoa sat in the other seat while Squall leaned against the wall.
“So Smash,” Squall said folding his arms, “What’s with the nick name?”
“Everyone at the Output station called me Smash.” He replied.
“Why?”
“Well…um…er” Smash hesitated, “…I am a good pilot.”
“Have you ever crashed?” Rinoa asked.
“What no!” Smash said looking at her, “of course not.”
“Then why are you called Smash?”
“I am an accident-prone but not in the air.”
“Oh.”
“Why are you guy’s heading for Octerma?” Smash asked leaning back on his seat.
“Just want find out information.” Squall said.
“About what?”
“History.” Rinoa answered.
Squall knew Rinoa said something wrong, because Smash’s cheerful expression changed into a fearful look.
“Why what’s wrong?” Rinoa asked.
“Oh nothing.”
“Smash, if there’s anything you want to tell us, go on.”
“No.”
“What rank are you?” Squall said changing the subject.
“Rank three,” Smash replied reviled that Squall changed the subject, “The highest is five.”
“Well that’s good.”
“I know,” Smash said smiling, “I really want to go to the next rank.”
“How do you get to the next rank?”
“By getting promoted of course,” he answered, “have you guys been living under a rock?”
“No,” Rinoa said giggling, “What are the differences of each rank?”
“The higher you are the more money you get,” Smash replied, “You get a new ship as you go higher.”
“What type of ship is rank four?” Squall said.
“The next one is the SilverPhoenix,” Smash answered with a dreamy look on his face, “a beautiful ship; sleek silver design, power wings, automatic landing gear, twin hover engines and very fast.”
“Sounds nice.” Rinoa said.
“I love that ship,” Smash said still with the dreamy look on his face, “I’ll do anything to get one.”
“Well,” Squall said getting up, “Get us to Octerma safely, and I might tell them how well you fly.”
Smash’s face glowed.
***
“Where are we going?” Seifer asked.
“There is this cave just outside of Gambernot,” Blizzy explained, they just left Dr Casio and headed for Octerma on foot, “You can find a Summon there.”
“Why can’t you get it?” Seifer asked.
“We tried several times,” Amber answered, “But he’s one cranky Summon,”
“Yeah he almost tore Tritox to bits.” Orion clarified.
“Yeah, like you guys did anything.” Blizzy retorted.
They walked through the Back Leaf forest till they reached a large cave hidden carefully behind a large waterfall.
Orion knelled down the stream and splashed his face with water.
“I hate going in there,” he said scratching his flaming red hair, “it gives me the creeps.”
“Scared are we?” Seifer said with a smirk.
“I like to see you fight it.”
“We don’t have to fight it,” Amber pointed out, “We just need to gain its trust.”
“How powerful is it?” Seifer asked.
“Very strong,” Amber answered, “I think he is stronger than all of our summons put together.”
“Speak for yourself.” Blizzy muttered.
“I do recall Tritox almost getting shred to bits.”
“Isn’t there another Summon you know?” Seifer said.
“Nope, this is the only one where we know where it lives.”
“Okay lets get going.” Blizzy said rubbing her hands.
She led them in to the cave. The cave was dark but as they get deeper, large green crystals illuminated the cave.
Its very cool in here Seifer thought looking at the crystallized gems that glowed in the darkness.
“Stay close so we don’t get lost.” Blizzy whispered.
The crystal may be giving out light but Seifer could barely see Orion in front of him. Seifer was at the back.
The cave glowed and sometimes flickered so there was barely any light. It wasn’t that quite he could hear a distance river running in the cave.
Every now and then he couldn’t see Orion at all.
“This is getting ridiculous.” Seifer muttered. “Does anyone have a light?”
No one answered.
“Hello?”
Still no answer.
Seifer groaned.
He saw lost.
“Oh that’s just great!” Seifer said kicking a green crystal shattering it, “Where the hell are they?”
He pulled a Flare stone and started rubbing it with his thumb. The stone started to glow an orange colour, and with a spark it burst in to a blazing rock illuminating the cave.
Seifer held out the glowing stone in front of him and continued walking.
He travelled through the cave till he reached a junction.
The long tunnel that Seifer was walking in suddenly branched of in different directions. There were many caves to choose from.
Seifer groaned again. He was thinking of heading back but then that would be chickening out.
So he picked one at random.
It was another long tunnel; Seifer thought he was walking for ages till he stopped. In front of him was a huge cavern, large luminous crystals big as boulders covered the dome shaped ceiling. There was a medium underground pool of water, inside the pool were many colourful crystals shimmering inside the water. The gemstone glowed under the slow moving water casting a dazzling array of coloured lights upon the cavern wall.
Seifer was amazed by how the cave could form like this. It was beautiful.
He smothered the now useless Flare stone and lobbed it to the far end of the cave.
He stepped down from the tunnel and into the huge cavern. Only then he heard the stone make a satisfying clink as it landed.
Seifer looked around the cave, dazzled buy the shimmering lights of the cavern walls. It reminds him of an aurora.
A shuffle sound of rocks behind him made him whirl around and he whipped out his SpiritWolf.
“Who’s there?” he command, “Come out now.”
Seifer stepped forward then stopped, there was a sound behind him.
He turned around and slowly walked towards the rainbow coloured pool.
Seifer peered down the pool and he could see the different coloured gemstones that shined brightly.
He turned around again. He didn’t have time to think, something in the shadows stalked him. Then it lunged.
