The 9 Black Shards

Warning: This story is a big spoiler for any one who did not beat the game.

The meteor is a few miles away from midgar and the highwind is circling Midgar.
The people in midgar are in shock and utter dismay, they all know it is all over for them.
But when the meteor is about to destroy the shinra headquarters you see a blue wave that came from the crater that was made by the last meteor that hit the earth.
But right before the meteor was starting to destroy the shinra headquarters, the blue wave went right under the meteor. Looks like all hope was not lost after all. But as the blue wave looked like it was it was winning against the meteor but it started to lose it after the meteor created a hole in the middle of the blue wave looks like all hope was lost. But when cloud saw the meteor start to deteorate the blue wave he knew it was all in vain all the sacrifices and all the pain and anguish and stress it was all in vain…but out of thin air the lifestream came out. The lifestream started to mend the hole that the meteor created.
But in a big flash the meteor was pushed away back into the darkness of space to never return.

2 years later
Cloud woke up in a cold dripping sweat. But it was not the first time lastly dreamt he saw spearoth killing all of his friends in a brutal fight but he could do nothing to stop him. The dreams were always to real to be dreams but this dream was different this time he thought he was in the sleeping forest again.
But this he saw Aerials in this dream it was all most to real to be true he felt her warmth as if she were still alive. Night by night the dreams came back they seemed to explain how the black materia came to be. Also the dream explained where the materia came from and how people learned how to use it. But each night it does not matter how much tifa tries to comfort cloud the dreams all ways come back. But one night the dream tells Cloud to go to the sleeping forest and to take with him his old avalanche group. But before the dream could finish tifa woke cloud up.
Tifa: Cloud, Cloud wake up you are having another nightmare!
Cloud: huh? Wa what happened?
Tifa: You were having a nightmare…are you ok?
Cloud: I am fine…aw man I feel like I have a hang over? What did we do last night?
Tifa: Nothing, we just had a romantic night at home.
Cloud: How much did I drink?
Tifa: Not a drop.
Cloud: Are you sure?
Tifa: Yes, I remember we stayed at home and cuddled all night in front of the TV and went to bed at 12:00 and watched some TV until 2:30 than went to sleep at 3:00.
Cloud: Oooooh yah! I remember now. Damn, But why do I feel like I have hangover?
Must have been that weird dream.
Tifa: The same one?
Cloud: Yes, aerials again.
Tifa: What happened?
Cloud: It’s 5 in the morning lets talk about it in the morning.
Tifa: Ok, you are right let talk in the morning.
Cloud: Night, honey.
Tifa: Good night sweet heart.
Cloud kissed tifa and they both cuddled back to sleep. The dream continued right when cloud went back to sleep. But he paid as little attention to the dream as he could.

The next morning
Cloud woke up to see that tifa had already got up and started making breakfast.
As he made his way to the kitchen he was astonished at how he could afford this condo.
He was also happy that he got this place in such magnificent city. Costa del sol is always so vibrant and happy this city was always so relaxed it is almost like every day was the first day of weekend all you want to do is just relax and enjoy your day off. But Cloud did gain some thing from his adventures he is rich plain and simple.
But also he is one of the most popular people in the world but the publicity does get annoying but it has calmed down a bit.
Not to mention a new love interest…Tifa. Even though he did have a strong relationship with Aeris. He always had a good connection with her, but before he could explain how he felt about her. The unthinkable happened seperoth killed her when she was calling for holy the ultimate white materia. After that became furious and could not think right all he thought about is to kill seperoth for what he did…Eventually he did.
But that was all behind him, but he always did wonder what would happen if she was still alive? But every one wonders that after a loved one is lost.
Cloud: Good morning Tifa.
Tifa: Oh good morning Cloud.
Cloud: What is for breakfast?
Tifa: We are having eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes.
Cloud: What With all the food?
Tifa: I guess you slept to well to notice but we have company.
Cloud: What we do? Who?
From the next room you could hear giggles and laughter from the next room.
As cloud walked into the next room he saw Barret, Marlene and aerial’s mom
Barret: Finally you woke up!
Cloud: What no insult?
Barret: I have to keep the insults to minimal when Marlene is around. (In a low Voice) But when we are all alone all hell will break lose!!!!
Marlene: Is your hair all ways like that in the morning? WOW does your breath always smell that bad in the morning? Is the food ready yet?
Cloud: oh uh good morning to you too Marlene.
Marlene: Oh yeah! Good morning to you uncle cloud (Marlene went up to cloud and hugged and kissed cloud on the cheek)
Cloud: Oh thanks.
Ariel’s Mom: Good morning Cloud, How are you doing?
Cloud: I am doing well.
Ariel’s mom: That is nice to hear.
Cloud: How come you all are here?
Barret: No reason we just wanted to visit you and tifa and have a little vacation while we were here. No better place to have a vacation, am I right?
Cloud: Yeah I guess so. But where are you staying?
Barret: Here with you and Tifa.
Cloud: Wow looks like we can finally catch up to old times huh?
Barret: But we are only staying for only a week we still have to visit the rest of the world.
(In A loud voice) Tifa: Food is ready!
Barret: Come on everybody lets go eat.
Nothing interesting happens to the group they just remember good times and forgets the bad. But when the real interesting things happen is in the 3rd day.

Three Days Later

The group is in the beach Tifa is playing in the water with Marlene, Cloud and Barret are on the beach watching over them, and Ariel’s Mom is in the Kitchen fixing up lunch.

Barret: So what has been going on?
Cloud: Nothing, why?
Barret: Tifa has told me about the dreams.
Cloud: Oh they are nothing.
Barret: I have been Have the same dreams.
Cloud: What? Are you lying to me?
Barret: No, I am not lying I have had the same dreams about Sephiroth, the materia and uh…and Aeris.
Cloud: What can this mean?
Barret: I do not know but Marlene and Aeris’s Mom Have had the same dream.
Cloud: Do you think Tifa has had the same dream?
Barret: I dunno, lets ask her!
Cloud: Ok.

As Cloud and Barret Made to Tifa there was a small rumble. The rumble turned in to a tremor than to an earthquake. As they ran to Tifa and Marlene They noticed a monster from far away but out of all the people there is was only heading to Tifa, Cloud, and Barret. As Cloud, Tifa, And Barret Prepared for battle they only hoped they were going to survive.
Cloud pulled out his sword; Tifa put on her gloves, Barret Put a magazine into the gattling gun than loaded it. They were all prepared, but prepared enough?
